Kyiv
Law enforcement officers blocked the work of a capital city company that sold russian fuel and lubricants worth hundreds of millions of hryvnias. The law enforcement officers established that the Ukrainian representative office transferred part of the profits to the russia’s budget, from which the invasion of Ukraine is financed.
In Kyiv, they want to create public transport stops where you can safely wait out an air raid alert. Such a draft decision appeared on the website of the Kyiv City Council. Within a month, the city together with “Kyivpastrans” have to determine the places where additional protective structures should be installed at the transport stops.
A photo exhibition “Unseen Azovstal” was opened in Kyiv in honor of the defenders of Mariupol. The works of the photographer and head of the press service of the Azov Regiment Dmytro Kozatskyi, who is currently in captivity of the russian military, are presented here. The proceeds from the sale of tickets will be used to provide military assistance to the soldiers of the Azov Regiment.
Kyiv Oblast
In the Kyiv Oblast, pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service defused almost 61,000 explosive items. In total, since the beginning of the work, they surveyed 20,029.28 hectares of territory. 1,259 facilities, 1,740 households, 1,398.117 km of highways, 1,313,745 km of power lines, and 11,443 km of gas pipelines were checked and inspected.
During active hostilities on the territory of the Kyiv Oblast, the heating facilities suffered significant destruction. In total, 64 boiler houses were damaged in the region near the capital city as a result of the russian military aggression. To date, 47 boiler houses have been restored by the efforts of thermal power companies with the involvement of funds from local budgets and international financial organizations.

Chernihiv Oblast
Finland is ready to help in the reconstruction of the Chernihiv Oblast.
Today, starting at 08:35 and until almost 9 in the morning, russian troops shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast. Five explosions from tube artillery were recorded in the area of the village of Hirsk of the Snovsk Territorial Community.
Yesterday, the police, while on patrol, found a woman with bodily injuries on the side of the road. The woman ignored the ban on visiting forests in the Chernihiv Oblast and went there to pick mushrooms. About 300 meters from the place where she was found by the police, the victim hit a tripwire set by the russian military during the occupation of part of the oblast.
Blue lakes this year remained without vacationers. A tourist place near the village of Oleshnia, Chernihiv Oblast, used to be visited by residents of Kyiv, vacationers from Chernihiv and other regions of Ukraine. Because of the war, there are restrictions on the territories of the border communities.
Sumy Oblast
Yesterday, the russians opened fire 11 times on the territories of the Yunakivka, Khotyn, Mykolaivka, Esman, and Shalyhyne communities. Almost 200 hits were recorded.
Today, the communities of the Shostka Raion of the Sumy Oblast came under bombardment by mortars and artillery carried out from the territory of russia. Nature conservation areas were under fire.
In Sumy, they said goodbye to soldier Roman Kurovskyi, who was killed in the Sumy Raion. He was 45 years old.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
At night, 2 strikes on Kharkiv were recorded. In the Slobidskyi district, a rocket, presumably an S-300, hit the sidewalk near the college. The blast wave damaged the building.
In the Nemyshlianskyi district, the rocket hit the lawn in front of the hotel and restaurant complex. Trolleybuses and cars were damaged, windows in houses were shattered. 2 people were injured. Medics provided assistance to the 74- and 50-year-old women on the spot.
In addition, during the day, the enemy shelled the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Bohodukhiv, and Izium raions. Houses and outbuildings were damaged there.
3 civilians were wounded and hospitalized: a 56-year-old man in the Kharkiv Raion, also, In the Bohodukhiv Raion, an 84-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy, the latter is in serious condition.
Donetsk Oblast
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy shelled the areas of Kramatorsk, Verkhniokamianske and Hryhorivka with tube and rocket artillery.
Resorting to offensive and assault actions, the enemy units tried to advance in the directions of Lysychansk Oil Refinery – Ivano-Daryivka and Mykolaivka – Vyimka. Fighting continues in the area of Spirne – Ivano-Daryivka.
In the Avdiivka sector, the occupiers fired from tube and rocket artillery in the areas of the Kurakhove, New York, Nevelske, Pervomaiske, Opytne, Marinka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, and Novobakhmutivka settlements. Assault aviation launched airstrikes near Marinka.
The invaders fought offensive battles in the directions of Novoselivka Druga – Krasnohorivka and Spartak – Avdiivka. They did not succeed and were thrown back. Hostilities continue on the Donetsk-Pisky and Novoselivka-Oleksandropil directions.
On August 12, the russians killed 5 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast: 2 in Kramatorsk, 1 in Bakhmut, 1 in Kurakhove, and 1 in Kodema. Another 35 people were wounded.
Since February 24, the russians have killed 728 civilians of the Donetsk region, and wounded another 1,880.
In the Donetsk Oblast, the local population is being evacuated to safer places of residence. Among the persons subject to evacuation are persons with disabilities, including those with severe forms of illness. In this regard, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine offers information that will be useful in the event of evacuation measures and in situations of risk.
Kramatorsk
There was another attack on Kramatorsk. The russians shelled the private sector of the southwestern part of the city – the village of Ivanivka. According to operational information, two civilians were killed and 13 wounded. The shelling damaged at least 20 buildings, and a fire broke out in the private sector. Law enforcement officers and rescuers worked on the scene. The final consequences of the shelling have not yet been established.
In Mykolaivka, on the night of August 12 to August 13, there were more hits in the area of the lower kindergarten. Nearby houses were damaged. In the morning, the Mykolaivka TPP came under fire. No casualties have been reported.
Residents of Kramatorsk (in the area of Astrakhanska and Rybinska streets) are helped to eliminate the consequences of russian shelling.
The situation remains alarming. For several days in a row, explosions have been heard in various districts of the city.
Today, the coordinator of the AUI “Active Community” delivered humanitarian aid to the residents of the city in the areas affected by shelling last week. Priority is given to people with disabilities.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsky district
The last day in the Pokrovsk community was restless. On August 13th, around two o’clock in the morning, the village of Sribne of the Sribne district of Starostyna was attacked by enemy fire. According to preliminary information, private houses and a school building were damaged. Currently, the facts regarding the victims and destruction are being clarified.
The Pokrovsk community received help in the form of water containers, power generators, fire hydrants, pipes and sets of tools for eliminating emergency situations. This cargo was delivered yesterday by representatives of the “New Way” charitable foundation.
The elders of buildings, officials and energy experts discussed how to winter in high-rise buildings of Pokrovsk.
Bakhmut
In the Bakhmut direction, enemy artillery and tanks hit the Chasovoy Yar, Berestovoy, Bakhmut, Bakhmutsky, Pereizny, Soledar, Spirnyi, Rozdolivka, Yakovlivka, Vershina and Zaytsevo areas. Airstrikes were recorded near Yakovlivka, Veselaya Dolyna, Zaitsevo, Bakhmut and Soledar. The enemy carried out assaults in the directions of Pokrovske – Bakhmut, Vidrodzhenye – Vershyn, Vuglehirska TPP – Zaitseve, had no success, and withdrew.

Mariupol
The occupiers bring workers from russia to work in the occupied territories. They promise high salaries, but the money is never given. Bricklayers, decorators, and electrical installers were brought to Mariupol from St. Petersburg. They were promised salaries twice as much as for similar work in russian cities. But the first video messages from the brought employees of the occupied cities that they were simply “abandoned” are already appearing.
The occupiers turned Mariupol into a dump. Garbage has been lying on the street since spring and no one is going to clean it.
Luhansk Oblast
Equipment of the occupiers in the Luhansk direction began actively to burn and break down. Thus, in the units of the 90th tank division originally from chebarkul in the 6th tank regiment, out of 26 tanks that were combat-ready, only 12 remained. According to the available information, 4 tanks were destroyed beyond the possibility of recovery, and 10 were unfit for further operation. In the 228th motorized rifle regiment from yekaterinburg, of the available 31 tanks, only 2 remained in service.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
In Zaporizhzhia and the region, air raid signals are constantly being sounded.
Yesterday, August 12th, around 7:15 p.m., the russian military struck Zaporizhzhia. A total of 5 shells were fired. Two infrastructure facilities in the Shevchenkiv district were destroyed, and a fire broke out. Fragments of rockets damaged several cars. One woman died as a result of her injuries, two people were hospitalized.
In addition, enemy shells hit the outskirts of the city – the villages of Baburka and Rozumivka of Zaporizhzhya oblast. Several settlements in the Pologiv direction were hit by artillery fire.
Today, August 13th, in the Shevchenkiv district of Zaporizhzhia, the police detained men with ammunition at the market. They tried to pass it off as scrap metal.
The State Bureau of Investigation conducted more than 20 searches in the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, the City Council, and regional law enforcement agencies. As a result of the investigation, a large-scale scheme of illegal enrichment was exposed, the daily illegal profit from which amounted to 2 million hryvnias. The scheme was related to the order of crossing the line of contact: with advance registration and a long wait. It was possible to speed up departure for a substantial amount of money.
Zaporizhzhia NPP (Energodar)
The russian military continues to shell the Zaporizhzhia NPP. The mayor of Energodar, Dmytro Orlov, called on the residents of the city not to go outside. Shelling is being conducted from the area of the park zone in the direction of the Zaporizhzhya NPP and the industrial area near the station. The interval between departure and arrival is 3-5 seconds.
At the same time, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense reports that the russians are shelling the nuclear plant from the village of Vodyane. As a result of the shelling, the first unit of the pumping station of the Thermal and Underground Communications Shop was damaged, as well as the fire department, which is responsible for the safety of the Zaporizhzhya NPP, was partially destroyed.
As a result of enemy shelling, the forest and grass in the surrounding areas caught fire, but extinguishing the fires is complicated by the shelling of the fire station. A russian background actors work at the station and used for shooting propaganda videos.
Kherson Oblast
At night, russian helicopters made 6 strikes in Andriyivka and Lozovoy districts of Kherson oblast. No losses. In the southern direction, the russian troops, after unsuccessful land assaults, are holding on to the occupied borders, their composition and position have not changed.
In the morning, in the South Buz direction, Russian troops fired tanks and artillery in the areas of Posad-Pokrovsky, Stepova Dolyna and another 27 settlements.
Missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck another blow on the road bridge over the dam in Nova Kakhovka. Now it cannot be used as intended. Russian attack aircraft and helicopters attacked the positions of the Armed Forces along the contact line seven times and shelled the liberated settlements.
In the Tavriyskyi and Shumenskyi micro districts of Kherson, the Russian military seized the stations of the Norma-4 television company. Now they are trying to seize control of the cable TV network and the Internet. It is possible to completely stop the work of the provider in the city, the company “Norma-4” reported.
Ukrposhta started issuing pensions in the de-occupied settlements of the Kherson oblast.
Mykolayiv Oblast
Yesterday at 11:00 a.m. enemy shelling of the territory between Solonchaka and Dniprovsky settlements of the Kutsurub community was recorded. There are no casualties.
Also, during yesterday’s day, the enemy struck the outskirts of the village of Halytsynov of the Halytsynov community. There are no casualties.
Today at 04:30 a.m. the village of Kostyantynivka of the Pervomayska community was under fire.
Shelling of the territory and nearby settlements of the Berezneguvat community continues. Yesterday, during the day, the territories near the village of Berezneguvate, the villages of Lepetykha and Kavkaz were shelled. Also yesterday around 12:00 p.m. as a result of the shelling of the village of Vesely Kut, a woman was killed and residential buildings were damaged.
Yesterday from 07:30 to 21:00 there was shelling within and outside the village of Shiroke of the Shirokiv community. Hits were mostly on farm buildings. Dry grass caught fire as a result of the shelling.
On the same day, around 16:30, the village of Chervona Dolyna was shelled. The hits were on agricultural buildings of households.
Yesterday at around 17:40 on the outskirts of Domanivka, Domanivska hromada, at a distance of about 500-700 meters, an explosion rang out after an anti-aircraft missile was fired, which shot down an enemy rocket. As a result, a funnel with a depth of about 1.5 meters and a radius of about 7 meters was formed. There are no affected and damaged objects.
Central regions
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
In Nikopol, the enemy shelled from “Grad”. He fired up to 30 rockets at residential areas. There is damage to housing in the city – 11 high-rise buildings and 13 private buildings. Kindergarten, garages, 10 outbuildings, and 4 cars were affected. The gas pipeline and power lines were broken.
The enemy hit the “Uragan” in the Kryvorizka district. Russians fired the Zelenodol and Apostoliv communities. There was no damage or casualties.
Agrarians of the Dnipropetrovsk oblast received humanitarian aid from an international company — one and a half tons of winter rapeseed. It will begin to be sown before the fall in order to harvest in the summer of the following year.
Kirovohrad Oblast
There was an air alarm in the hromada, because of the threat of a missile attack on Kropyvnytskyi. At present, the situation in the communities is calm and controlled.
In order to help the defenders, a charity bike ride “Unite for Victory!” was held in Novoukrainka hromada. It was organized by the youth council with the support of the executive committee of the Novoukrainka City Council on the occasion of the International Youth Day, the city’s mayor Oleksandr Korinnyi said. “Now we have 2550 hryvnias more to buy something useful and necessary for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front line,” the mayor noted. On the occasion, he thanked the 34 participants who covered the distance from the City Palace of Culture “Yuvileiny” to Vocational-technical school No. 40.
On August 13, another group of internally displaced persons from Donetsk Oblast arrived in Oleksandriia, most of whom are women, children, sick and physically challenged people. On the railway platform, they were met by government officials, volunteers, doctors, rescuers and psychologists. People were led to tents set up specifically for evacuees. There they could rest, talk with psychologists and fill out the necessary documents. Further, the displaced people from the Donetsk Oblast will be transported and arranged in places of long-term residence in the Kirovohrad Oblast, determined by the regional administration.

Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk Raion
Air raid sirens sounded throughout the day.
The past day in the Khmilnyk hromada was relatively calm.
Children from Khmilnyk help Ukrainian defenders. They sell hand-picked flowers, berries, fruits and greenstuff. They give all their earnings to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The vast majority of Khmilnyk residents who took part in the survey support distance education. People are afraid to let children go to school because of the threat of russian missile attacks.

The coordinator of the All-Ukrainian Initiative “Active Community” of Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk Raion communicated with internally displaced persons and provided information on simplifying the procedure for submitting an application for compensation for housing that was destroyed or damaged as a result of the war since February 19, 2014. This can now be done through the portal or the Diia app in the Damaged Property section.
Western Oblasts
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
The situation in Prykarpattia is stable and under control.

Rivne Oblast
The overall situation is relatively calm, as of 4:30 p.m. there was one air alarm.
The “Medovy spas” charity fair was held in Zarichne hromada. Various handicrafts and paintings could be purchased here. Local housewives brought various delicacies: homemade pastries, candies, jam. Beekeepers offered natural honey. The event was organized by the employees of the local lore museum, their initiative was supported by other cultural and educational institutions, as well as the residents of the community. All collected funds – 13,860 hryvnias – were transferred to the Ukrainian military.
