15 civilians were buried in Bucha, whose bodies could not be identified. Of them, 14 bodies are men and 1 woman. 8 men were found in Myrotske, they were tortured and shot. All the bodies have traces of torture, wounds to the head and chest. The bodies were examined in the morgue of the city of Bucha. This was reported by the adviser to the mayor of Bucha, Mykhailyna Skoryk-Shkarivska.

Zhytomyr Oblast
In Zhytomyr, Azerbaijani volunteers handed over a car for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This time, representatives of the local council of Azerbaijanis, who have been engaged in volunteering since the first days of the full-scale invasion, undertook to fulfill one of the most demanded requests of the military.
Zhytomyr resident Artem Sokhatskyi began to make T-shirts with the images of the military personnel and sell them through social networks – the money goes to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In general, the volunteer, together with his colleagues, has been helping the army since the beginning of the full-scale war.
On August 8, a resident of Yemilchyne, a true warrior and hero, Ruslan Mykolayovych Sheletetskyi died. This was reported by the Yemilchyne Village Council.
The coordinator of the All-Ukrainian Initiative “Active Community” carried out training for art therapy.
Chernihiv Oblast
At night, russian troops shelled the Semenivka hromada in Chernihiv Oblast. The shelling was from mortars and multiple rocket launchers, 8 and 10 hits, respectively, around 2 pm and 3 am.
In Pryluky, children together with adults organize a whip-round of money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They have created a children’s checkpoint and arrange mini-concerts.
The government of Taiwan provided Chernihiv with half a million dollars to restore the damaged infrastructure.
During the investigation of the border territory, which was temporarily under the occupation of russian troops, the police discovered hidings of weapons and ammunition near one of the villages of the Ripky hromada. Everything found was seized by the police. The weapons and ammunition were subsequently transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Chernihiv citizens who own private residential buildings that suffered during active hostilities will be able to receive assistance. The amount of one-time material assistance will depend on the degree of damage to the dwelling.
Sumy Oblast
Yesterday, in Sumy Oblast, construction of a new crossing over Vorskla began. They plan to build the crossing in 3 weeks. Cars and pedestrians will be able to move through it.
The head of the educational institution who justified the russian military will be tried in Hlukhiv. The woman persuaded her subordinates to take a pro-russian position, denied the fact that the russian military was killing, raping and torturing the local population of Ukraine.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Around 2:00 a.m. at night, the enemy attacked the Kholodnohirskyi and Industrial districts of the Kharkiv city. In the Kholodnohirskyi district, the occupiers damaged a hotel and restaurant complex. Another hit was recorded in an open area in the Industrial district. Elements of transport and critical infrastructure were damaged.
During the past day, the russian occupiers shelled the settlements of Bogodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, Lozova and Izyum raions of the oblast. A field with wheat was on fire in Bogoduhiv raion due to shelling. The fire burned 3 hectares of crops, the farmers put it out on their own. In the Chuhuiv district, a warehouse with seeds was destroyed.
During the day, 1 person was killed by russian shelling in Kharkiv Oblast, and 5 civilians were injured. There were 1 dead and 1 wounded as a result of yesterday morning’s shelling of Kharkiv from multiple rocket launchers.
4 people were hospitalized in the oblast: a 71-year-old woman in Chuhuiv raion, 72- and 45-year-old men in Dergachiv community. A 59-year-old man was injured in Kutuzivka. The condition of two patients is serious.
Active fighting continues on the contact line. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy is shelling the positions of Ukrainian defenders with artillery and tanks, using aviation.
Donetsk Oblast
In the Donetsk direction, with the support of operational-tactical and army aviation, the enemy is conducting offensive battles in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, trying to dislodge Ukrainian units from the occupied lines with artillery fire.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy fired near Hryhorivka, Siversk, Verkhnyokamyanske, Zakitne, and Ivano-Dariivka.
In the Avdiivka direction, shelling was recorded near Vodyane, Pisky, Nevelske, Novoselivka, Krasnohorivka, and Sukha Balka. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Mariinka, Krasnohorivka, Novoselivka, Avdiivka.
The enemy waged offensive battles near Krasnohorivka and Avdiivka, had no success, and retreated.
On August 8, the russians killed 3 civilians of Donetsk Oblast: in Chasovyi Yar, Novoselivka Persha, and Mariinka. Another 19 people were injured.
Since February 24, the russians have killed 703 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 1,817.
Mandatory evacuation of the population from Donetsk Oblast continues.
Today, 349 people left the oblast by evacuation train, including 69 children and 9 people with disabilities. As few people as possible should remain in the oblast before the heating season.
Kramatorsk
Distant explosions were heard in the community. No injuries or damage were reported.
The head of the military administration of Kramatorsk, Oleksandr Goncharenko, held a meeting with the heads of commercial service enterprises. He met with representatives of the largest enterprises of mixed trade, distributors of pharmaceuticals and medical products, which still continue to provide services to the city’s population. The main topic was the discussion of the winter period in the city. The participants reached an agreement on the interaction of communal services, energy workers and critical infrastructure enterprises in the event of various types of problematic issues.
Rumors are spreading in the community about the closure of humanitarian aid centers. However, these rumors are not true. In general, the situation remains alarming.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
The day in the Pokrovsk community was relatively calm. No facts were recorded regarding the victims and destruction.
Residents continue to support the military. The head of the group from Pokrovsk sews balaclavas for the Armed Forces together with her children.
Aid from EU residents continues to arrive in Pokrovsk. Today, the deputies of the city mayor handed over men’s socks to the servicemen of two battalions serving in Pisky and Avdiivka. They were purchased with funds collected by schoolchildren of the Polish city of Gdansk.
Bakhmut
Enemy artillery fire was recorded on Bakhmutsky in the direction of Soledar, Kodem, Bilogorivka, Bakhmutsky, Vyimka and Vershyn. Near the latter, as well as Zaytsevo, Dacha, Bakhmut, Yakovlivka and Spirny, the enemy used aviation.
The occupiers tried to carry out combat reconnaissance in the areas of Ivano-Daryivka, Vesele, Yakovlivka and Bakhmut settlements. Ukrainian soldiers inflicted fire damage and forced the invaders to flee. With the same result, the enemy led an offensive near Zaitsevo.
Luhansk Oblast
In occupied Luhansk, various methods of forced mobilization of local residents are used. The invaders began to arrange night ambushes near the entrances.
Due to forced mobilization, the Luhansk mine is on the verge of closure.
Southern Oblasts
Kherson Oblast
Russian troops are shelling the villages of Tokareve, Ivanivka, Knyazuzka, Olhyne, Osokorivka, Lyubimivka, the villages of Novovorontsovka and Arkhangelske. “Hrads” and artillery destroyed private houses, there are wounded and dead. Also, 15 hectares of wheat crops burned near the village of Tamarine, Beryslav district. A grain storage hangar on the territory of the elevator caught fire in Brylivka.
Over the past day, Ukrainian law enforcement officers opened 24 criminal proceedings regarding war crimes committed by the russian army.
Due to the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, 896 kilometers of state roads, 590 kilometers of local roads and 14 bridges were destroyed in the Kherson oblast. About two billion hryvnias are needed for their restoration. This was announced by the head of the Kherson Oblast state administration Yaroslav Yanushevich.
The occupying authorities offer four thousand rubles to all parents whose children from 0 to 18 or to 23 years old will study full-time in the Kherson oblast.
Mykolayiv Oblast
On the morning of August 9, around 7 am, the enemy shelled the outskirts of the city. Previously, there were no victims or victims.
The settlements of the Halytsyniv community are under constant enemy fire. Yesterday afternoon, as a result of munitions and their debris falling in the Halytsyniv forest tract, a fire broke out in coniferous litter and forest plantations.
This morning, from 06:30, the village of Lymany was under fire. Hitting mainly on the outskirts of the village.
Yesterday, in the first half of the day, the village of Shevchenkive of the Shevchenkiv community came under fire.
Shelling of the territory and nearby settlements of the Berezneguvat community continues. At night, around 03:00, Berezneguvate was shelled. Residential buildings were damaged.
Yesterday afternoon, there was shelling outside the village of Polyana of the Shirokiv community. Fields caught fire as a result of the hits.
Odesa Oblast

On August 8, around 10:00 a.m., in the sky above Odesa, the forces and means of air defense of the “South” air command destroyed a sea-based cruise missile of the “Kalibr” type launched from a submarine in the Black Sea.
The Mayor of Odesa, Gennadiy Trukhanov, had a telephone conversation with the Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine, Mr. Pier Francesco Dzadzo. The Ambassador assured that Italy has a warm attitude towards Odessa and the Italians will take a direct part in helping the city.
People are united and active, volunteer, and take part in charity events.

Central Oblasts
Kirovohrad Oblast
There was an air raid alarm in the community, there was a threat of a missile attack on Kropyvnytskyi. Currently, the situation in the communities is calm and under control.
On the night of August 9th, an emergency evacuation train with displaced persons from the Donetsk Oblast arrived in the Kyrovohrad Raion. This group of evacuees came to Kpopivnytskyi. The majority of people are women, children, the elderly, the sick and citizens with reduced mobility. Some took four-legged pets with them. Psychologists and animal rescuers helped people to carry away pets and domestic animals. Elderly people and people with disabilities, who could not walk without assistance, were helped by rescuers to get to tents for recreation, buses or ambulances. Next, people were taken to places of torture designated by the oblast administration.
On August 18th, the Golovaniv community announced the Day of the Environment, everyone is invited to participate in greening and cleaning the territories. All residents, entrepreneurs, managers and employees of enterprises, institutions and organizations, deputies and members of the executive committee are asked to support the initiative and participate in the cleaning and greening of enterprise territories, residential and roadside territories, and own land plots and public places.
On August 10th, the Coordination Center for Assistance to Internally Displaced Persons from Luhansk Oblast will start work in Kropyvnytskyi. At the centre, displaced persons will be able to receive advisory and initial legal support and register for receiving humanitarian aid. Residents of the Luhansk Oblast can ask their questions from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. by calling the hotline at 099 530 75 96.

Poltava Oblast
In Poltava, 44 educational institutions are preparing for opening. Of the 33,000 children who went to school last year, not all will be able to study offline. The number of children who will study at the school will correspond to the number of places in the shelters. First-graders, fourth-graders, as well as transition classes, will be primarily involved in face-to-face education. At the same time, according to data from the Prozorro system, at least half of the city’s schools have not yet started shelter repairs.
A senior soldier and football player, 25-year-old Vitaly Tishchenko from the Mashiv community, died in the Donetsk oblast. Vitaly was a participant in two Poltava championships as part of “Vorskla ATO” and “Aurora”. As part of the latter, he became the champion of BVS CUP-2021.
40-year-old Vladyslav Pugach, sergeant of the reconnaissance platoon of a separate airborne assault brigade, died.
Soldiers from Poltava Oblast died defending Ukraine – Oleksandr Shcherban from the Dykanka community and Serhiy Martynov from the Semeniv community.
A native of Kremenchuk with the call sign “Angel” serves in the National Guard of Ukraine and teaches military affairs. In particular, it teaches the rules and skills of fighting that save lives on the battlefield.
The team of AUI “Active Community” of Poltava transferred funds for walkie-talkies for the military from Poltava Oblast. The goal is to close the gathering as soon as possible because the enemy does not wait.
