Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

In Kyiv, a Chernobyl guide, a soldier of the 46th separate landing-assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Kyryl Serhienko, who heroically died in Soledar, was buried.

The «Yurta nezlamnosti [Yurt of Invincibility]» was opened in Kyiv. This is a house built by the Kazakh diaspora, where you can warm up, drink tea and charge your phone. It was placed in Shevchenko Park.

 

Kyiv Oblast

In the Vasylkiv community, shelters were set up in four more educational institutions. All in order for children to study in offline formats. Capital repairs of the basement premises were carried out in the kindergartens «Zhuravlyk», «Sonechko», «Lastivka» and Vasylkiv Lyceum No. 6. They were equipped with everything necessary. In addition, earlier in the village of Bezpyatne of the same community, the repair of the shelter of the kindergarten «Chornobryvchyk» was completed. This made it possible not only to resume the work of the institution, but also to transfer the Zastugnyanskyi gymnasium, located in the neighboring village, to a mixed format of education. The shelter of the kindergarten is designed for 75 preschoolers and 75 high school students.

 

Chernihiv Oblast

On January 14, the communities of Snovsk and Semenivka were shelled by the russians. Border guards recorded 13 explosions from a 120 mm mortar in the Snovsk community. And in Semenivka, 30 explosions were recorded, probably from a grenade launcher.

A delegation led by the Chairman of the Sejm of Latvia Edward Smiltens was on an official visit to Chernihiv Oblast. This is the fifth visit of Latvians to Chernihiv Oblast after the start of the full-scale invasion. This time they visited Yagidne and talked with local residents.

 

Sumy Oblast 

In the afternoon of January 14, the border settlements of the Sumy Oblast were shelled from the territory of russia. The communities of Shalygyne and Khotin were shelled from mortars. A local resident was injured. 4 private houses were damaged.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast 

Yesterday, the enemy launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. In the Kharkiv Oblast, critical infrastructure objects were hit, causing emergency power outages.

By 1:00 a.m. on January 15, thanks to the work of energy workers, electricity was restored to most consumers. As of 8:30 a.m., 100% of consumers in Kharkiv and the Oblast, which were disconnected as a result of shelling, have been restored.

During the day, the enemy continued shelling the Kupyansk, Chuguyiv and Kharkiv raions.

In Vovchansk, shelling damaged an educational institution, infrastructure and industrial facilities. In the village of Hrushivka, Kupyansk raion, an unused building and a civil industry object were damaged.

Donetsk Oblast 

On January 14, the russians killed 7 civilians of Donetsk Oblast: 4 in Avdiivka, 1 in Stara Mykolaivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kurakhivka. 4 more people in the Oblast were injured.

Since the day of russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, enemy weapons have claimed the lives of 1,307 civilians of Donetsk Oblast and injured another 2,849 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

In the east of Pokrovsk raion, 1 person died in Kurakhivka. On the territory of the community, two houses were damaged in Kurakhove, two in Kurakhivka and one in Gostre.

At night there were periodic shellings of the Maryinka community, and in the morning the russians shelled Avdiivka twice from Hrads and carried out artillery shelling of Vesele and Krasnohorivka of the Ocheretyne community — without casualties.

The occupiers covered Avdiyivka from Hrads, the market came under fire. Three civilians of Avdiivka were killed, the same number were wounded, and they are already receiving medical assistance.

Representatives of the Humanitarian Headquarters of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration together with the leadership of the Pokrovsk Raion Military Administration met with the French. The head of the Team4UA/Team4Humanity foundation, Jean-Christophe Bonis, visited Donetsk Oblast to directly discuss further cooperation. As soon as the needs of the communities are studied, it is planned to start joint delivery of food kits from the World Food Program (WFP) from the end of February. They will be distributed among residents of Pokrovsk raion.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

In the Horlivka raion, the situation in the Soledar community is tense. It is known about one destroyed house in Paraskoviivka. In Bakhmut, a two-story store was completely burned down as a result of shelling.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha raion 

On the Volnovakha direction, Vugledar, Novoukrayinka and Bogoyavlenka came under fire — according to preliminary information, no one was injured.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

In the Lysychansk direction, there was a lot of noise in Siversk – a private house was destroyed in the city, with no victims.

Luhansk Oblast 

In Belogorivka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repulse all attempts of russian attacks – there is no threat of a breakthrough of our defenses there.

Southern Oblasts 

Zaporizhzhia Oblast 

Over the past day, the occupiers shelled 18 settlements in the Zaporizhia Oblast, including Zaporizhzhia, Orihiv, and Gulyaipole. 16 reports were received about the destruction of buildings and infrastructure facilities.

In particular, the enemy shelled Gulyaipole and Zaliznichnye with prohibited ammunition. There is not a single whole building in Zaliznychny. About 2,300 people still live in Gulyaipole.

On the 14th of January, as a result of shelling by the russian occupiers, rescuers extinguished 2 fires in Pologiv and Zaporizhzhya raions. So, in the city of Orihiv, a residential building with a total area of ​​20 square meters caught fire. In the village of Zarichne, dry grass and bushes burned on an area of ​​0.5 ha. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine posted a video of the shelling of a village in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast with russian incendiary munitions. No Ukrainian military object is visible. This is a violation of Protocol III to the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons. 

In the occupied Energodar, the invaders are setting up barracks and ammunition depots in the basements of residential buildings. In this way, they are trying to ensure the safety of russian soldiers in the event of an attack by the Armed Forces.

In occupied Berdyansk, the department of the children’s day hospital in the city hospital was completely closed. Russian soldiers are now being treated there.

On the 14th of January, the russians deported several residents of the temporarily occupied village of Skelky, Vasyliv district. Their whereabouts and condition are currently being investigated.

Mykolayiv Oblast

According to the information of the air command “South”, yesterday during the mass missile attack on the cities of Ukraine, three cruise missiles were shot down by the forces and means of air defense over the Mykolaiv Oblast.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out artillery strikes on the Kutsurub community. Hitting outside the settlement. There were no damages or injuries.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaiske, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

In the urban-type village of Pervomaiske, people began to repair broken houses and cover roofs. As of the 14th of January, they are waiting for the connection of communications here.

Kherson Oblast

During the day, the russian army shelled the central part of Kherson. Residential buildings, medical and educational institutions were hit. In particular, the rocket hit the premises where representatives of the Red Cross work. A fire broke out as a result of the shelling. A rehabilitation center for children with disabilities, a student dormitory and a critical infrastructure object also came under fire. There are about seven wounded.

During the past day, the russian military shelled the temporarily occupied Kakhovka. As a result of shelling, one woman died, four people were injured.

As a result of shelling by russian troops, seven fires broke out in Kherson in one day on 14th of January. During the day, rescuers extinguished a warehouse and three residential buildings in different neighborhoods of the city. 

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Yesterday russians struck a residential building in Dnipro with an X-22 missile. As of 18:00, 29 people were killed (including 1 child), and 73 people were injured (including 13 children). Another 43 people are still missing. Currently, rescuers continue to remove the rubble. 72 apartments were destroyed, and 230 apartments were damaged. More than 400 people need to be resettled. Windows in neighboring houses were smashed. 40 cars were damaged by debris.

On January 14, the russian army attacked Kryvyi Rih with 5 air-guided missiles. One of them hit the private sector. A 34-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih died. Another man was wounded by debris.

Russian occupants struck the Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets, and Nikopol communities. They fired over 20 shells at the localities. In the Marhanets community, the power line supplying the pumping station of the local water utility was damaged. More than 60 thousand families were left without water.

Yesterday the military shot down 6 missiles over Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

The Security Service of Ukraine detained two suspects in anti-Ukrainian agitation – from Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih.

The mayor of Dnipro Borys Filatov brought aid and awarded the fighters for the territorial defense of Dnipro. The brigade received pickup trucks, French military trucks, radios, quadcopters, generators, tablets, and winter uniforms for the soldiers. All this came from the community of the city, from everyone who donates to volunteer funds, works, and pays taxes.

In Dnipro, volunteers created a donation point for winter clothes for IDPs. This clothing bank is based on the center of social support for children and families “Dovira”. The clothes were collected by social workers and concerned citizens of Dnipro. The weekly collection amounted to 250 kilograms of different things.

The first English-language book on the history of Dnipro was published in the USA. It was released in Boston by Andrii Portnov, professor of Ukrainian history at the European University Viadrina. The illustrated book is called “Dnipro: An Entangled History of a European City”. It tells about the life of Dnipro from its foundation to the present day. The cost of the book is 40 US dollars.

Poltava Oblast

Artem Osin from Poltava and Yevhen Kulyk from Zinkiv took the last battle in Donetsk oblast. Artem Osin with the call sign “Ozzy” was killed on January 12 as a result of artillery shelling while performing a combat mission. The defender is survived by two children.

On the same day, fellow “Ozzy” Yevhen Kulyk with the call sign “Fox” was killed in the same area. He served in the Air Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the French Foreign Legion. The warrior was killed as a result of injuries from enemy shell fragments.

Another warrior from Poltava oblast gave his life to Ukraine. Vitaliy Linskyi was killed on January 8, their positions were shelled by an enemy tank during a fierce battle. The soldier will be laid to rest on January 16.

In Poltava, a new stage of preparation for the installation of a modular town continues. It is being placed on the territory of the regional psychiatric hospital. They have already started laying water supply and sewerage networks there. Currently, all 240 modules have been delivered to Poltava, they will be assembled free of charge by Polish specialists.

Teachers of Poltava oblast received 1114 chromebooks running on Google Chrome operating system. First of all, 95 IDP teachers will be provided with such equipment. The rest will be distributed according to the needs between local teachers and teachers of vocational schools.

Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council made a decision on the financial support of the families of the Heroes. Thus, a one-time payment of UAH 10 thousand will be provided to mothers of fallen defenders on the occasion of Mother’s Day. Widows of soldiers will receive sanatorium treatment, a one-time payment of 25 thousand hryvnias will be given to minor children of the fallen soldiers, etc. In addition, such families will have a 50 percent discount on utility bills.

Regional coordinator of the “Active Community” in Kamianets-Podilskyi Slavko Poliatynchuk organized an event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of Donetsk Airport. Servicemen of the local garrison took part in it. 

Rivne Oblast

In Rivne, the last tribute was paid to 30-year-old Ivan Klimchuk, who was killed on December 19 in Donetsk oblast near Bakhmut during the assault of the enemy. And in Sarny raion, they said goodbye to soldier Oleh Eller, who died of pneumonia on January 8, while performing a combat mission in Donetsk oblast. God bless the memory of the Heroes.  

The engineering, fortifications and anti-tank ditches are being actively built in the north of Rivne oblast. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, Territorial Defense, Border Troops, volunteer formations of each of the 64 territorial communities of our Rivne oblast undergo daily combat coordination, master their shooting skills, tactics and strategy of war in the conditions of their territories.  

Zakarpattia Oblast

A charity event for children “Ambassador of Childhood” took place in Uzhhorod. More than 20 singers and bloggers were invited to participate in it. There were master classes, a concert, autograph session and the opportunity to take pictures with the Eurovision Cup, which was brought to Uzhhorod by a member of the winning group “KALUSH Orchestra” “KylymMen”. According to him, they are taking the cup to cities of Ukraine. 

The construction of the ice arena in Uzhhorod was discussed with the President of the Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine Heorhiy Zubko at the meeting in the City Council. They also discussed the relocation of ice arenas to the west of Ukraine.
