Ukraine in brief:

The 104th day of the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian nation to the russian military invasion goes on.

The situation in the north has not changed much.

During the day, the enemy shelled the settlements of Senkivka, Chernihiv Oblast, Sopych, Konstantynivka, Stari Vyrky and Velyka Pysarivka, Sumy Oblast.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy is fighting to hold the occupied lines, continues to shell Ukrainian troops, and mines the area.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preparing troops for the attack on the city of Sloviansk. Russian invaders fired on the settlements of Velyka Komyshuvakha, Dolyna, Kurulka, Hrushuvakha, Chervona Poliana, and Shnurky.

In the Severodonetsk sector, the enemy fired on the units of the Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure the enemy fired at units of our troops and civilian infrastructure using tube and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Lysychansk, Borivske, and Metiolkino.

In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian soldiers successfully hold back assault operations in the area of the settlement of Komyshuvakha. Also, hostile assault attempts in the direction the Svitlodarsk and Vuhlehirsk TPPs turned out to be unsuccessful.

Near the village of Nahirne, Ukrainian defenders inflicted fire damage on units of the occupying forces. After an unsuccessful assault attempt, the enemy withdrew to the previously occupied positions.

Owing to the successful actions of our air defense, the intensity of the use of enemy aircraft has been reduced. Efforts of the invaders are focused on supporting the actions of the ground grouping and targeting missile strikes on infrastructure facilities deep in the territory of Ukraine.

Due to the loss of personnel and military equipment, the enemy continues to actively use the civilian infrastructure and the repair and restoration base in the Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts.

Northern oblasts

Kyiv

The bodies of the dead defenders of, received as part of the “160 for 160” exchange between Ukraine and russia, have already arrived in Kyiv. A spokeswoman for the Azov Regiment, Anna Holovko, said that all 160 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers handed over by the russians during the exchange were from the ruins of the Azovstal Steel Plant. At least 52 of these bodies are believed to be the remains of the Azov Regiment fighters.

Kyiv Oblast

Over the past day in the Kyiv Oblast, in the course of the work, specialists neutralized 323 explosive devices. For the entire wartime period, 39514 such items have been removed and neutralized.

Yesterday, the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Peace and Good” provided 25 chainsaws for the capital region. The Kyiv Oblast Military Administration reported that modern equipment has already been transferred to the needs of the Oblast Defense Forces. In particular, chainsaws will come in handy during the construction of defensive structures.

Zhytomyr Oblast

The Security Service of Ukraine detained in the Zhytomyr Oblast a soldier of the so-called DPR, who entered the territory controlled by Ukraine through the territory of the russian federation and tried to enlist in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Between the villages of Chervoni Khatky and Starochudnivska Huta in the Romaniv community, a forester previously found, according to preliminary data, the wreckage of an air-to-air missile. The police seized this evidence of a war crime committed by russian troops in the territory of the Zhytomyr Oblast.

Volunteers from the Zhytomyr humanitarian aid center donated 600 night vision devices to servicemen of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. First, the military will be trained to gain the skills in using the devices, and then they will transfer them to the front.

Chernihiv Oblast

At night there was an air raid alarm.

Yesterday from 6 to 7 pm russian troops fired on a section of the border area in the Horodnia Raion. The russians shelled the borderlands of the Chernihiv Oblast using 120 mm mortars; a total of 8 hits were recorded in the Senkivka area.

Starting tomorrow, two more trolleybus routes will start operating in Chernihiv.

Sumy Oblast

Last night, russians opened fire on the Velyka Pysarivka and Khotin communities. In total, they fired about 20 times. After 8 pm, the enemy opened fire from the territory of the russian federation, probably from self-propelled artillery mount, on the territory of the Vorozhba community. In all, 17 explosions were recorded.

On the night of June 7, the russian military fired on Seredyna Buda in the Sumy Oblast. The shelling began at about 5 am. There were 7 mortar shots, then artillery bombardment began. At least 6 houses were damaged.

Anna Pylypeiko, Secretary of the Shostka City Council, asks to be relieved of her post before the end of her term. She was elected secretary of the city council from the political party “Opposition Platform – For Life” in December 2020, and then she was the only candidate.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past day, the enemy fired from the MLRS at the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv, as well as at the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Bohodukhiv, Krasnohrad, and Lozova raions of the oblast. In Kharkiv, the infrastructure of the Kyivskyi district was shelled. At night, as a result of a russian shell hit, a fire broke out in a private house in the Kyivskyi district. Rescuers pulled a 52-year-old man out of the rubble. He was not seriously hurt. A 70-year-old woman was injured. In total, 2 people were injured in Kharkiv.

In this oblast, residential buildings, economic facilities, and critical infrastructure came under the shelling of the occupiers. A private enterprise was hit, and a fire broke out. More than 20 cars were destroyed as a result of shelling in the village of Slobozhanske, Krasnohrad Raion. Forests and grass are burning in the area due to this bombardment.

In total, 2 killed and 6 wounded persons were registered in the oblast during the day.

Fighting continues on the line of contact in the Kharkiv Oblast. In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy is focused on defense. It conducts remote mining of the area. Attempts to advance in the direction of Dovhenke and Dolyna continue in the Izium area. Ukrainian defenders hold their positions and rebuff the enemy. The enemy suffers heavy losses in manpower and equipment.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, the Ukrainian defenders in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts repulsed ten enemy attacks. They destroyed one tank, three artillery systems, two armored combat vehicles, one car, and two ammunition depots. Air defense units shot down two Orlan-10 uncrewed aerial vehicles.

On June 6th, the russians killed four civilians in Donetsk: 2 in New York, 1 in Chasiv Yar, and 1 in Pisky. Seven more people were injured.

Since the beginning of the russian military invasion of Ukraine, 478 civilians have been killed and 1238 wounded in shelling and bombing in the Donetsk Oblast.

Kramatorsk

The sounds of explosions could be heard in the city. There are no reports of casualties or damage.

In Kramatorsk, there are problems with water supply: the occupiers are destroying the capacity of the utility company “Water of Donbas.”

So that the residents of the city are not left without water, the municipal production enterprise “Kramatorsk Vodokanal” provides water transportation by special transport.

In general, the situation is alarming. In the villages near the city, there are problems with water supply.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

During the day, the occupiers fired on the settlements of Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Chasiv Yar, Mykolaivka, Mariinka, and Kurakhove.

As a result of an enemy missile strike in Kurakhovo, four high-rise buildings and a kindergarten were damaged. The attack on the residential area by the russian occupiers was inflicted around one o’clock in the morning. No one was killed.

The last day in the community was relatively calm. There are no casualties or damage. Utilities work in a regular mode.

The Pokrovsk Committee for Self-Organization of the Population won a grant worth over UAH 380 000 from the Danish Refugee Council. Pokrovsk Mayor Ruslan Trebushkin announced this. It was collectively decided to buy electric stoves and food for this amount for migrants and those citizens who found themselves in difficult life circumstances. Food kits will be sent to residents of Avdiivka and Bakhmut communities. Generators and fuel for shelters will also be purchased.

Under the “Cooperation” program, Pokrovsk receives humanitarian aid for the communities of Donetsk Oblast.

Bakhmut

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops successfully countered and repulsed the enemy’s offensive in the directions of the settlements of Nahirne, Berestove, Krynychne, and Roty.

The AUI “Active Community” coordinator advised citizens on the provision of humanitarian aid.

Mariupol

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the city’s population has decreased five times. About 200 000 Mariupol residents left for the controlled territory of Ukraine. 50-70 thousand are in the Azov villages or the occupied territories of eastern and southern Ukraine, and 47 thousand are deported or forced to go to russia and belarus. Russian occupation troops killed more than 22 000. About 100-120 thousand Mariupol residents are still in the ruined city without primary living conditions.

The occupiers are dismantling the Ukrainian stele “Mariupol” at the entrance to the city from the side of Manhush.

Yesterday in Mariupol, the occupiers turned on the water supply to the Prymorsky District. Previously loudly reported on the repair of 600 km water pipes. As a result of “repair,” water from all water mains leaves a fountain in an open space. The occupiers cannot build the infrastructure there and endanger the locals’ lives and health.

Luhansk Oblast

Yesterday, the russians fired on the market, mining college, and school in Lysychansk. For several hours, rescuers put out a fire in the market’s trade pavilions with a total area of ​​1000 square meters. The flames were extinguished only closer to evening.

Also, russian occupation troops launched a massive shelling of the city of Zolote. There they destroyed 13 houses at once. And as a result of the attack on the town of Hirske – 11 damaged homes.

Fighting is taking place in Severodonetsk. The situation is difficult, and the russians have concentrated a large number of artillery in this direction. Ukrainians deported from the city by russians began to get in touch. They cannot return to Severodonetsk. There are about 10 000 locals left in the town.

The city’s educational institutions were also destroyed – the Mining and Industrial Vocational College building, which practically burned down, and the secondary school, from where two victims were evacuated. Three more wounded in Lysychansk and Pryvillya were hospitalized in medical institutions in other oblasts – two men and a woman.

The russians are terrorizing the temporarily occupied territories. Arrangements of civilians are arranged at night, and everything is turned upside down in homes. If Ukrainian symbols are found, they are punished. More and more people are disappearing. But Ukrainians are resisting.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

The intensity of the russian shelling in Mykolaiv grows. But the locals are returning home.

As a result of shelling of a residential district of Mykolayiv on June 6, nine private houses were damaged. A power line was cut off on one of the streets. Employees of Mykolaivoblenergo continue repair work today.

As a result of attacks in Mykolaiv one person was lost on a scene, one more was wounded.

Central Oblasts

Kirovohrad Oblast

An air alarm was sounded in the oblast.

On June 6, during a meeting with community and territory leaders, which was continued after the air alarm, the head of the Kirovohrad Oblast State Administration, Andriy Raikovych, stressed that the state of the labor market should be constantly monitored. Today, this issue has become particularly relevant due to the fact that many Ukrainians have been forced to leave their regions of residence due to hostilities. These people need not only humanitarian aid and certain social benefits, but also employment. The state encourages employers to hire displaced persons.

In the village of Troyanka (Golovanivka community, Kirovohrad Oblast), the building of a former dormitory for teachers is being repaired. IDPs will live there. The premises are designed for 70 people.

Eugene and Iryna Semiryazhka, a married couple from the town of Rubizhne (Luhansk Oblast), resumed a family business in Kropyvnytskyi that they lost due to the war. A cafe was opened. To do this, the couple took a loan of more than one hundred thousand hryvnias. Eugene and Irina in Rubizhne had two restaurants, another one was opened in Severodonetsk in December 2021.They did not expect to be able to resume the family business quickly in the new place. The cafe is open for the third week. Eugene Semiryazhko said: “We were helped by volunteers, if it were not for them, we would abandon this idea.”

In the village of Pishchany Brid (Novoukrainsky district, Kirovohrad Oblast), dry soups are prepared for the military. Almost half a thousand portions were sent to the front. Borsch “Invincible”, vermicelli soup “Supets-molodets” and cereal “Makhnovsky” have been prepared in the kitchen of the local lyceum since mid-March.

92 babies were born in a week in Kirovohrad Oblast. Parents of children from Kharkiv, Slovyansk, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolayiv, Donetsk, Mariupol, Borodyanka, Odesa, Cherkasy, Kherson, Irpin, Konotop.

The coordinator of AUI “Active Community” worked at the Humanitarian Center for Internally Displaced Persons (he formed packages with food kits).

Poltava Oblast

The head of the Poltava Oblast Military Administration Dmytro Lunin handed over another batch of generators for the Ukrainian military: 4 to the Poltava Defense Volunteer Center, which will deliver them to the soldiers, and 1 to the Poltava Territorial Defense unit. Recently, a total of 20 such generators have been transferred.

Yesterday, First Deputy Mayor Valery Parkhomenko met with experts working on the concept of the industrial park. Together with them, the head of the GIZ project office in Poltava, specialists of the Institute of City Development of Poltava City Council and the Department of Capital Construction of the City Executive Committee went to the Zaturyn industrial site, which was inspected.

Poltava is already accepting companies for relocation, so the industrial park is attractive for investors

Poltava City Council pre-registers internally displaced persons to receive food kits (one per family). IDPs living in dormitories, apartments and private households in Poltava and Poltava community (except schools and kindergartens) are invited to register.

101,000 hryvnias were raised at a charity concert held on June 1 at Poltava Polytechnic. All proceeds will go to purchase a thermal imager and other military equipment to help the Ukrainian army.

Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk Raion

The past day in the Khmilnyk community was peaceful. Utilities work in a regular mode.

Another community in the Vinnytsia Oblast has decided to join the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. On Sunday, June 5, a meeting was held in the village of Velykyi Mytnyk (Khmilnyk Raion). Archpriest of the Vinnytsia-Tulchyn Diocese Ivan Pukas told about it.

Works on landscaping in the center of the village of Salnyk (Kalynivka community, Khmilnyk Raion) have been completed, where it is planned to create a park zone.


Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

398 IDPs arrived in Lviv by three evacuation trains. The IDP assistance center housed 157 people in the Oblast.

During the day, 33,000 people left Ukraine across the western border, and more than 32,000 Ukrainians returned.

Five people were reportedly suspected of misuse of humanitarian aid. Among them are an ex-official of the Oblast State Administration, acting mayor of a city in Lviv Oblast, residents of Lviv, Lviv Oblast and Kyiv. The case of one suspect was sent to court.

Today 10 more off-road vehicles and a thousand bulletproof vests went to the front line from Lviv Oblast. They will be received by the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo, the 103rd separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine.

The day before, on June 6, a young couple, who recently got married, transferred 100,000 hryvnias to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in one of the bank’s branches in Sambor. The newlyweds gave up loud entertainment. They celebrated the wedding in a close family circle, raised money as a gift, and decided to help Ukrainian soldiers.

Drohobych

There were no air alarms during the day. As far as possible now, the area is safe.

Soldiers of the 103rd separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine evacuated vehicles from the Artemsil enterprise and more than 30 residents of Bakhmut.

A border guard from the Rivne Oblast is suspected of treason. The man was recruited and cooperated with the reserve officer of the armed forces of the occupying state. In particular, he collected and passed on personal information on the selection of candidates for military service to the border detachment. Under the procedural guidance of the Rivne Oblast Prosecutor’s Office, an employee of the border detachment was informed about the suspicion of treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The Rivne Oblast Military Administration provides daily information on the availability of fuel at gas stations in the oblast.

Registration of migrants for the money program has started in Rivne CNAP. The amount of funds per person will be UAH 2,220. The program is designed for 3 months and so far applies only to IDPs in the Rivne community. Financial support for IDPs will be provided by the Czech international humanitarian organization Man in Need.

The Regional Coordinator met with partner organizations on the possibility of further joint activities and partnerships.

Zdovbytsia

Representatives of the local Territorial Defence unit continue to guard the checkpoints.

Local deputies from the European Solidarity Party sent paintings, embroideries, motankas, photographs and icons from local residents to a charity auction in Poland. Proceeds will be used for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Deputies also handed over 4 first aid kits to our defenders. Aid in the form of food and necessary clothes went to the east.

A local resident donated children’s bicycles for the needs of internally displaced persons. Currently, more than 350 internally displaced persons live in the community.

The general situation is calm. There were no air alarms.

Khmelnytsky Oblast

The situation in the oblast is under control.

The oblast military administration continues to actively cooperate with international charitable organizations that deliver humanitarian aid to the Khmelnytsky oblast.

Back in March, cooperation began with representatives of the international initiative Operation Sunflower, and the other day another cargo arrived from them at the humanitarian hub at the Khmelnytsky Oblast Military Administration. This time, the benefactors received 500 sets of biscuits, as well as the Starlink satellite communication system.

The mayor of Khmelnytsky said that they made another trip to the eastern front to 2 military units and handed over 10 units of vehicles, a mini-excavator, 12 thermal imagers, 10-night vision devices, 20 Motorola DP 4600 radios, 2 quadcopters, summer shoes, summer shoes, clothes, clothes goods, tools, medicines, etc. But the main communication, especially in positions.

A student from the Khmelnytsky Oblast defended his diploma at the forefront. Mykhailo Kopytko is a 23-year-old military man. Even before the start of the full-scale war, the young man managed to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and sign a contract. And now he is fighting on the front line. He is also a 5th-year correspondence student at Vinnytsia National Technical University. Kamianets-Podilskyi

The Office received 40 water coolers from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, the Women’s Union of Ukraine and the Strong Together Charitable Foundation. They will be distributed among the medical, social and educational institutions of the community.

The friendly city of Kalisz (Poland) made a gift to the community in the form of two buses. Comfortable, and convenient, with ramps and air conditioners, they went on routes.

The community sheltered 10 more migrants from Sloviansk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. The Red Cross helps with the products.

This year, due to martial law, all graduates except 11th graders will celebrate the Last Bell remotely. It will happen tomorrow.

Museum workers invite students to a quest tour “In search of the key to the castle.”

At the request of the chaplains, the coordinators of the Active Community AUI collected voluntary donations in the amount of UAH 6,000. for printing pocket prayer books “Spiritual bulletproof vest”. The Alphabet publishing house printed and delivered to the military chaplain 500 copies, which will soon be handed over to soldiers at the forefront. It is planned to print 1.5 thousand such prayer books. Also, another UAH 2,215 was collected at the art exhibition for a medical car.

Zakarpattia Oblast

The war that russia brought to Ukraine broke thousands of lives. Having uprooted her homeland, she forced thousands of Ukrainian families to seek refuge. One such example is the history of the Dimitrov family from Kramatorsk. The couple is raising 5 children and at the beginning of this terrible year 2022, they could not have imagined that they would soon have to flee to distant and unknown Slovakia, saving four daughters and a son from the deadliest shelling.

From the first days of the full-scale war, volunteers forgot about sleep, and food, and minimized contact with relatives. So to help them rebuild the resource, the Care for the Rear project, supported by the European Union and the International Renaissance Foundation, invites volunteers to free group classes with psychologist Marianna Migal. The project is implemented by the NGO “Happy Children”. The first meeting will take place on June 10, at 17:00. Seats are limited. You can register at the link. The organizers will announce the meeting place by phone. The project will include 8 group classes.

In Uzhgorod, hairdressers provide free services to migrants. In this way, they care for internally displaced persons, giving them beauty and attention. The initiators are masters of the Uzhhorod Higher Commercial School of the State Trade and Economic Institute.
