Northern oblasts

Kyiv

Kyiv purchased 12 mobile boiler rooms for social institutions. In the event of a heat supply failure, such boiler rooms can be quickly deployed in social institutions such as hospitals, schools, and kindergartens. Each is capable of continuously supplying heat for a week. Refueling is carried out automatically. So far, 50 schools and 20 medical institutions in the city have been equipped to be connected to alternative heat sources. Today, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko checked the operation of one boiler room that was connected to the heating station of a school in the capital.

In the Solomianskyi district, a team of 6 volunteers made 1,444 trench candles in one day. All of them are already going to the defenders of Ukraine.

Kyiv Oblast

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk has already raised 16,530 US dollars for the reconstruction of an apartment building at 14 Lysenko Street in Irpin. As of the morning of January 30, 377 benefactors from around the world have joined the fundraising campaign. On his birthday, January 17, Usyk announced a fundraiser to restore an apartment building in Irpin damaged during hostilities as part of the President of Ukraine’s UNITED24 initiative. Anyone can contribute to the fundraiser.

Italian street artist TVBOY published a video showing the process of creating graffiti in the region.

A heating point from the Kyivstar company has appeared in Irpin.

Zhytomyr Oblast

Another loss for Zhytomyr. Today, the city said goodbye to the fallen Hero Oleksandr Mazarchuk, who volunteered to defend Ukraine. On January 24, he died as a result of a combat wound. He is survived by his parents, wife, and two children. May the memory of the defender be blessed.

The first two batches of ready-to-eat food in vacuum packaging were sent to the front by members of the Volunteer Assistance Center team operating in Malyn, Zhytomyr Oblast. Almost half a thousand servings of pancakes, dumplings, cutlets, zrazy, chebureks, and homemade bacon went to the frontline soldiers.

“Don’t approach, don’t touch, call 101” – in Zhytomyr, a training was held for children, where they were taught the rules of handling unfamiliar and explosive items.

Chernihiv Oblast

Today, russians shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast. The Semenivka and Snovsk communities came under fire. The military recorded five hits near the village of Mistky in the Snovsk community and 20 hits near the village of Leonivka in the Semenivka territory.

Today in Chernihiv, soldier Vladyslav Mozol, who was killed while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk Oblast, was escorted on his final journey.

Sumy Oblast

The night in the Sumy Oblast passed without any shelling from the russia.

Yesterday in Sumy they said goodbye to defender of Ukraine Mykhailo Haidar, who was killed in action in the Donetsk Oblast.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

This morning the enemy again shelled Vovchansk, Chuhuiv Raion. A 62-year-old man was killed as a result of the shelling. In addition, an 85-year-old woman was wounded.

Yesterday, around 11 p.m., the enemy launched another missile attack on Kharkiv. According to the preliminary information, the S-300 air defense system was used. The missile hit a 4-storey residential building in the Kyivskyi district. The upper floors and the roof of the building were destroyed, and a massive fire broke out. An elderly woman died. Three more residents of the house were injured. At 3:20 the fire was extinguished. Rescue operations are still ongoing.

Over the past day, the enemy shelled the border settlements of the Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Kharkiv raions of the oblast. Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Strilecha, Dvorichna and other towns and villages were under enemy fire. Private houses, shops, and outbuildings were damaged.

According to the Oblast Center for Emergency Medical Care, a 41-year-old man was wounded in Kupiansk as a result of enemy shelling. His condition is of moderate severity.

Donetsk Oblast

The enemy is conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlivka sectors. In other areas, the enemy is on the defensive.

Units of the Defense Forces repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Yampolivka, Rozdolivka, Vasiukivka, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, and Ozarianivka in the Donetsk Oblast.

On January 29, it became known about 1 resident of the Donetsk Oblast, who was killed by russians – in Krasnohorivka. One more person in the oblast was wounded.

In total, since February 24, the russians have killed 1,335 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 2,930. The number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Avdiivka sector, Severne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka came under hostile artillery fire.

Kurakhove was shelled five times: 5 private houses were damaged. Sporadic shelling was registered in Avdiivka and the Maryinka community, causing no casualties.  

A shelter for social protection of IDPs operates in Pokrovsk. It is designed for 200 beds, and people can stay here for 4 days. They are brought here from the hot spots of the oblast by the police and military. More than 100 people from the combat zone have already received help here.

Today, in the town of Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk Raion, they said goodbye to Artem Stakhmych and Oleksandr Nadeyev, who were killed on January 24 in a battle near Vodiane, Donetsk Oblast.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Bakhmut direction, Spirne, Berestov, Bilohorivka, Rozdolivka, Bakhmut, Diliivka, Druzhba and New York of the Donetsk Oblast were affected by fire.

One person was injured in Chasiv Yar, where the russians targeted near the kindergarten and the territory of the enterprise. The russians also shelled the industrial zone in Kostiantynivka in the morning the day before. In the Soledar community, two houses in Vasiukivka and several houses in Paraskoviivka were damaged. No information was received about the victims.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha direction Vugledar, Novoukrainka and Prechistivka were under fire. No one was injured.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Lyman direction, Terny and Yampolivka of the Donetsk Oblast were damaged by fire.

In the Lysychansk direction, two hits were recorded in Torske of the Lyman community; the outskirts of the Siversk and Zvanivka communities came under fire. There are without casualties.

Aviation squadron commander Danylo Murashko died near Kramatorsk. During a combat mission on January 27, 2023, he was shot down by an enemy fighter. Seeing the Shabelkivka settlement nearby, the pilot, despite the low altitude of the flight, tried to the last to take the plane away from residential buildings. As a result, he lost altitude and was unable to eject safely and died a Hero’s death, the 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade reported.

Since February 24, 2022, Major Danylo Murashko has made 141 combat sorties, destroyed about 70 units of armored vehicles, more than 80 motor vehicles, about 30 tankers of fuel, and about 600 enemy personnel. The command of the military unit presented the officer for awarding the title “Hero of Ukraine” (posthumously).

Luhansk Oblast

Occupiers continue to evict people from their homes without providing them with replacement housing. This is happening in front-line settlements. The russian military occupies the empty houses.

The invaders force the enterprises that remain to work in the captured territories to re-register in russia, leaving Luhansk without taxes.

South oblasts

Mukolaiv Oblast

At night, the enemy carried out artillery strikes on the settlement of the Ochakiv community. Residential buildings and farm buildings were destroyed and damaged. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanska raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, together with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, today visited the wounded soldiers in one of the Mykolaiv hospitals. They also inspected the building of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, which was partially destroyed as a result of russian rocket fire. They talked about the needs to restore the city’s infrastructure.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Russian military shelled Nikopol. There is damage to several private enterprises, a service station, a store, a parking lot, and an educational institution. Four cars, a garage, an outbuilding, a moped, unused and two-story buildings, and a power line were also damaged. 

Marganets and Chervonohrihorivka community were also shelled. Two private houses, a garage and an outbuilding were gutted, and power lines were damaged.

In the Kharkiv Oblast, 39-year-old Pavlo Kuchkurda from Kamianske was killed in the fighting. He had a wife, a son, a daughter and a brother. Bright memory of the Hero.

Ten injured as a result of a missile attack on the Dnipro high-rise building on January 14 remain in hospital for treatment. There are nine adults and one child.

A mural dedicated to the tragedy that occurred as a result of a russian missile hitting a high-rise building appeared in Dnipro. 46 people died then. Thematic graffiti was made on the wall of the Central Shopping Center in the city center. The picture is red, symbolizing blood, it shows a destroyed house, pictures of which went around the world. And from the ruins appears a dead person with angel wings, on whose chest is the fatal date – 14.01.2023. Below is the inscription: “russia is a terrorist country.” The author signed himself as BRKN. 

In Kryvyi Rih, the art marathon “Unite for the Victory of the KR [Kryvyi Rih]” is underway. As part of the marathon, fairs, concerts of amateur groups and other events are held. Their goal is to purchase drones for the Ukrainian army. The charity event will last until February 24.

Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi

Kamianets-Podilskyi

By joint efforts, the judges of the Kamianets-Podilskyi City District Court purchased an Opel Frontera car and handed it over to the military unit stationed in the community. Servicemen of this unit perform combat missions in the hottest spots.

For three days, paramedics from Great Britain conducted training for rescuers of Khmelnytskyi Oblast on providing first aid to victims in various dangerous situations. Emergency personnel from Khmelnytskyi, Kamianets-Podilskyi and Shepetivka took part in the training.

Rivne Oblast

Medical institutions of the Rivne Oblast continue to receive wounded soldiers from the front line. In particular, modern shelters with operating rooms were created in city and oblast children’s hospitals. A rehabilitation center is being developed in the Klevan hospital for war veterans. Local doctors are trained by WHO (World Health Organization) representatives from many countries. In the Rivne Oblast Clinical Hospital, the Center for Planned Surgery and Transplantology was created, and multi-organ organ harvesting was performed for the first time.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Bukovyna mourns its faithful sons who gave their lives for the freedom of Ukraine. The solemn farewell to senior lieutenant Ihor Perepelytsia will take place in the village of Hvizdkivtsi, and to soldier Pavlo Tanyhin – in the village of Ispas.

Five vehicles from Chernivtsi Oblast were delivered to the soldiers of the 97th battalion of the 107th Territorial Defense brigade in Kharkiv Oblast, soldiers of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, and intelligence officers. Along with the cars, winter clothes, heaters and other necessary things were also handed over to them. Yevhen Honchar from the village of Kobolchyn purchased and gave one of the cars to his brothers in arms. The rest was bought and repaired with the funds of benefactors.

Novoselytsk community received significant help from benefactors of the branch of NGO “People in Need”: washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven, multicooker, boiler, various means for washing and caring for clothes. All this will be transferred to places of compact residence of internally displaced persons.

Svitlana Hutsuliak, senior nurse of the Chernivtsi Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital, received a high award from the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. In this way, her professionalism, conscientiousness and sensitivity to young patients were noted.

During the last two weeks, more than 50 Points of Invincibility have been deployed in Bukovyna.
