Kyiv Oblast

On January 30, a press conference will be held dedicated to the restoration of residential apartment buildings in Irpen, damaged as a result of hostilities. In particular, we are talking about the repair of four houses as part of the cooperation of the Irpin Reconstruction Summit and the Terre des Hommes Italia foundation. The organizers will present a photo and video report on the progress of work on the restored objects, as well as announce the further plans of the organizations.

Bridges are being rebuilt near Kyiv. Currently, two bridges are under construction on the international highway M-07 Kyiv — Kovel — Yagodin. The “Warshavska” route passes through the Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Volyn Oblast and leads to the border with Poland.

Zhytomyr Oblast

Konstantin Sharapato volunteered for one of the airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Died on January 23, 2023 during heavy artillery shelling in Eastern Ukraine.

Participants of the children’s volunteer club from the village of Galiivka of the Vilshany community of Zhytomyr Oblast collected almost 110 thousand hryvnias for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These funds were used to purchase two thermal imagers, autonomous stoves, and spare parts for cars.

Almost one and a half thousand civilians in Zhytomyr were trained in fire training, tactical medicine, aerial reconnaissance and other disciplines that are required in combat conditions. This week, they started a new direction – information struggle.

Chernihiv Oblast

Today, russian troops fired self-propelled guns and mortars at two border communities of Chernihiv Oblast: Novgorod-Siverskyi and Snovsk. In the Snovsk community, the military reported eight attacks, presumably from a 120 mm mortar, in the area of ​​Hrinivka village. In Novgorod-Siverskyi, the military recorded three arrivals, presumably from self-propelled guns, in the area of ​​the village of Krasniy Khutir.

Sumy Oblast

During yesterday’s day, the russian military carried out 13 shellings of 7 communities of Sumy Oblast – Bilopillya, Glukhiv, Znob-Novgorodske, Krasnopillya, Shalygine, Seredino-Buda, and Yunakivka. The enemy fired mortars, artillery, and also carried out an air strike. A total of 88 hits were recorded.

The night of January 29 in the Sumy Oblast passed without russian shelling.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkivska Oblast

The terror of the civilian population of Kharkiv Oblast by russian troops continues. Last day, the occupiers shelled Kupyansk, Vovchansk, Strilecha, Kozacha Lopan and other settlements of Kupyansk, Kharkiv, Bogodukhiv and Chuguyiv raions.

As a result of shelling of the villages of Chervona Zorya and Odnorobivka of the Bogodukhiv raion, private residential buildings were destroyed.

In Kupyansk, residential buildings and commercial buildings were damaged.

In Vovchansk, as a result of enemy shelling, several private houses, cars, and the building of one of the enterprises were damaged. An 83-year-old woman was injured. Hospitalized in moderate condition.

Demining works are ongoing. During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service neutralized 33 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast

On January 28, the russian army launched 21 strikes on Donetsk Oblast. Russian military aircraft, “S-300”, “Hrad”, artillery, tanks, mortars shelled 14 settlements of the region. As a result of shelling, 40 civilian objects were destroyed and damaged – 17 residential buildings, a hospital, bank premises, a hotel, a warehouse, a transformer, garages, cars.

On January 28, the russians killed 4 residents of Donetsk Oblast: 3 in Kostyantynivka and 1 in Bakhmut. Another 17 people in the region were injured.

In total, since February 24, russian weapons have taken the lives of 1,334 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 2,929 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

In the east of Pokrovsk raion, Kurakhove was hit by 4 artillery shells — 7 high-rise buildings and 10 private houses, buildings of 2 medical institutions were damaged.

Also, the Russians launched a missile attack on Kostiantynopolsky — they aimed at an agricultural enterprise.

In Avdiivka, chaotic shelling continued at night – no information was received about the victims. Vodyane, Nevelske, Vesele, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pervomaiske and Novomykhailivka were also shelled.

Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of settlements of Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Maryinka.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

In the direction of Bakhmut, the areas of 21 settlements, in particular, Spirne, Bila Hora, Verkhnyokamianske, Rozdolivka, Bakhmut, New York, Klishchiivka, Kurdyumivka and Mayorsk of the Donetsk Oblast, were damaged by fire.

As a result of yesterday’s attack on Kostyantynivka, 3 people were killed and 14 were injured. 7 high-rise buildings, 7 garages and a hotel were damaged.

On the Horlivka direction, 1 person was killed and 1 person was injured in Bakhmut; a high-rise building was damaged. 1 more person died in Paraskoviivka of the Soledar community. Private houses in Toretsk and a 9-story building in New York were damaged. The surroundings of the Chasiv Yar community came under periodic shelling. No casualties.

Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Yampolivka, Verkhnyokamianske, Rozdolivka, Sil, Blagodatne, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanovske, Klishchiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Maryinka, Pobieda and Vugledar in Donetsk Oblast.

The charity fund «Ukraine on the Wings of Hope» delivered another batch of humanitarian aid to Bakhmut. Food kits were distributed to the local population. 

Volnovakha and Volnovakha raion

On the Volnovakha direction, Vugledar, Novoukrayinka, Prechistivka and Bogoyavlenka were under fire — without casualties.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

Makiivka, Chervonopopivka and Dibrova in the Luhansk Oblast were shelled in the Lyman direction.

In the Lysychansk direction, Zvanivka and Pereyizne of the Zvanivka community and Siversk and Serebryanka of the Siversk territorial community came under fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Luhansk Oblast

Real estate documents issued by Ukrainian authorities after the so-called inclusion of «new regions» into the russian federation will not be recognized in the occupied territories. The Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Invaders has developed a corresponding draft law, which proposes to cancel restrictions imposed by Ukraine on real estate in Luhansk Oblast. Allegedly «to exclude the falsification of documents, as well as unfriendly actions that create serious obstacles in the exercise by the citizens of the russian federation of their rights regarding ownership, use and disposal of property».

The occupiers also continue to struggle with the circulation of the hryvnia, which will by no means end in the temporarily occupied territories. Yes, the Privat24 mobile application and the bank’s website no longer work without a VPN. We are talking about those cities where there is still access to the Internet.

In the schools of the Starobilisk raion, collaborating teachers began to check children’s gadgets in order to identify a pro-Ukrainian position. Smartphones are inspected once a week in all classes – from junior to senior level. In one of the educational institutions, the director personally conducts the inspection. It looks at all messengers, social networks, browser history, YouTube and TikTok.

Southern Oblasts

Odesa Oblast

There are 15 ships of the russian army in the Black Sea. One large landing ship and three missile carriers remained on duty. The total volley is 20 Kalibr missiles. The rest of the ship’s crew can be used to launch drones.

Residents of Odesa are warned that due to a storm in the Black Sea, mines torn from the anchor may hit the shores of Odesa. They can also drift along the coast.

Mykolayiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy carried out artillery strikes on the settlement of the Ochakiv community. As a result, residential and apartment buildings, farm buildings, and an administrative building were damaged. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Kherson Oblast

Last night, the russian army hit a utility company in Kherson. The building and about 10 city vehicles were damaged.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson direction, russian troops shelled Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Kozatske, Tiagynka, Komyshany, and Kherson.

Today, Kherson was shelled seven times until noon alone, and there are damaged buildings. One person died, two others were injured as a result.

Russian troops set fire to the city center of the temporarily occupied Hola Prystan. They went to private houses. Power lines were damaged due to shelling.

In Genichesk and Nova Kakhovka, members of the «Zhovta Strichka [Yellow Ribbon]» resistance movement continue to be reminded that these are Ukrainian cities. Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Russian troops shelled the Pokrovsk community in the Nikopol Oblast and the Velyka Mykhaylivka community in the Synelnykove Oblast with heavy artillery.

A 24-year-old soldier, Roman Banakh, from the village of Ukrainka, Kamianske raion, died near Bakhmut. He is survived by his mother, brother and sister. 57-year-old senior sergeant Gennadiy Matukhno from Kamianske was killed in the fighting near Bakhmut. He is survived by two sons, two daughters and a mother. 22-year-old Danylo Geiko from Kryvyi Rih also died at the front. Eternal glory to the Heroes!

In Nikopol since the beginning of the war, almost 2,500 objects have been mutilated as a result of shelling. Basic work, such as patching roofs or covering windows, is almost complete. Some of the objects had to be «conserved» – pending examinations and capital repairs in the future. The mayor of Nikopol emphasized that the city will never restore the destroyed city at its own expense.

During the last week, more than 200 migrants from the Kherson Oblast arrived in Kryvyi Rih. In total, more than 75,000 internally displaced persons were registered in the city.

In Kamianske, a 45-year-old woman walked around town wearing clothes with totalitarian symbols and promoting communism. She distributed postcards to citizens and campaigned for the idea of ​​reviving the soviet union. The police arrived at the scene and took her to the police station.

Every day for 11 months in Nikopol, the seamstresses of the New Life Charitable Foundation sew uniforms and ammunition for the military. Despite the constant shelling of the city, 12 female specialists combine volunteering with their main work. Products are sewn according to self-developed samples. But at first there were problems with the fabric. The workshop also started sewing clothes and thermal underwear for military women.

Kirovohrad Oblast

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi has posthumously awarded soldier Viacheslav Budiuk with the Order “For Courage” of the III degree. The award was presented to the sister of the deceased by the mayor of Znamianka. The soldier was called up for military service in March of last year. On April 15, the soldier was killed.

The Kirovohrad Regional Museum of Local Lore hosted a presentation of the project “I Live – Thanks to You,” which tells the story of fallen soldiers and their families who, despite the pain of loss, live and keep the memory of their Heroes alive. The event was attended by the families of the fallen soldiers, who are represented in the photos.

Rivne Oblast

In Sarny raion, a father of many children bought a car for Ukrainian defenders. Taras Zhuk is a local entrepreneur. He bought a Mercedes Sprinter in 2004. The car is in good technical condition. It has 8 seats.

In the Dubno raion, children from Plast make energy bars for the military. This “factory” of sweets for the military was set up in the Youth Center “Tour” in the village of Shepetyn. Children raised the money to buy the ingredients by organizing a nativity scene and going caroling. Philanthropists and parents are also joining the cause. As of today, 300 goodies are ready for delivery. And this is only the first batch.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Bukovyna sent off a Hero who defended his native land from the russian invasion: the funeral of Sergeant Valeriy Starodub took place in the village of Lomachyntsi. Eternal glory to the Hero.

After having passed three thousand kilometers and spent more than 400 liters of diesel fuel, volunteers delivered aid from the communities of Vyzhnytsia raion to the defenders in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. In particular, the soldiers were given a Mitsubishi L 200, which was purchased by the Putyla State Forestry Enterprise. They also brought a drone, a generator, power benches, two stoves, 30 fleece jackets, mittens, socks, thermal underwear, camouflage nets, medicines, and hygiene products. The package also included some homemade goodies. 

In the premises of the Summer Theater in Chernivtsi, volunteers weave camouflage suits and nets for the military: in ten months they have managed to produce about three thousand ghillie suits and the same number of nets.

The IDPs living in mountainous and remote communities in Chernivtsi oblast are being helped to survive the winter. Volunteers distribute warm blankets and clothes to them and install stoves to heat their homes. They focus on helping mothers with children and people with disabilities.
