Northern oblasts

Kyiv

Representatives of the Kyiv City Military Administration and the Command of the Kyiv Defense Forces and Facilities Grouping, as well as heads of the raion state administrations, inspected the progress of work to improve the system of engineering barriers in the capital. Unsuitable concrete blocks, sandbags, and anti-tank hedges will be replaced with new ones, dugouts will be reinforced, and trenches will be re-arranged.

Kyiv and the capital of Taiwan, Taipei, signed a memorandum on cooperation between the cities. In particular, it envisages cooperation on infrastructure, education, culture, and IT technologies.

The commission of the Ministry of Culture was not allowed to enter the Kyiv Cave Monastery by parishioners of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, which was supposed to leave the reserve yesterday. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture arrived to begin the process of transferring the property to the state. We are talking about 79 buildings that were used by the monks. One of them damaged the camera of the Suspilne TV channel. The police are turning back all the cars that are trying to take away the church valuables without the commission’s relevant conclusion.

The photo exhibition “Eyes of Ukraine” opened in Kyiv. It is about the consequences of russian aggression. The photos were taken in the cities of Irpin, Borodianka, Hostomel, and Kharkiv after they had been liberated from the occupiers by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The goal is to attract the attention of the public and international organizations in order to raise funds for the construction of a new, modern building and the purchase of medical equipment for the rehabilitation center.

Kyiv Oblast

A year after the de-occupation, the windows of the surviving high-rise buildings and more than 1,700 private houses in Borodianka, Kyiv Oblast, were restored and the roofs of the houses were repaired. A project is currently being developed to rebuild the main street.

A presentation of the community recovery plan took place in Bucha. The event was held as part of the “Bucha Build Back Better” project, which is supported by the “Partnership for a Strong Ukraine” Foundation. It was attended by representatives of embassies, international organizations, and MPs. They reviewed reconstruction projects and discussed possible ways of raising funds.

The Finnish company Temet is considering the possibility of building a 2-in-1 bomb shelter in Irpin, where it can also be used as a gym. Such a bomb shelter will be built using a special technology at a depth of 10 meters underground.

Lithuania will hand over a mobile town for 36 families to Ukraine. The mobile homes worth 941.5 thousand euros will go to Borodianka in the Kyiv Oblast.

Zhytomyr Oblast

On March 30, explosions were heard in the Zhytomyr Raion. They were associated with scheduled works.

The dismantling of the monument to the Soviet soldier began at the Smolianske Military Cemetery. The monument will remain on the territory of the cemetery, to the right of the central alley. It will be moved closer to the graves of soldiers buried there in the period 1941 to 1945.

Chernihiv Oblast

Russians shelled two communities in the Chernihiv Oblast with machine guns, grenade launchers and artillery. Details are being clarified.

Soldiers Valeriy Akulenko, Viktor Antonenko, Pavlo Zhelezniak, and Oleksandr Kolosko were posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage”, Class 3, for personal courage in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The special award “People’s Hero of Ukraine” was presented to the mother of the Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Matsievskyi.

More than 80 school buses were lost during еру hostilities in the oblast. Volunteers from the Lviv Oblast delivered 6 buses from Poland to the Chernihiv Oblast. The funds were provided by the foundation of the American couple Karen and Irwin Redlener. Besides, the benefactors provided additional spare parts and humanitarian aid for social welfare institutions.

The Rotary Club Kyiv-Capital on behalf of the Rotary International District 2232 public union donated a baby incubator to the Chernihiv maternity hospital. This is extremely important equipment for saving the lives of premature babies.

Sumy Oblast

During the day of March 29, the enemy shelled the territories of 4 communities in the Sumy Oblast: Bilopillia, Znob-Novhorodske, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna-Buda.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

At least 21 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast came under russian shelling on March 29. Among those, Udy, Strilecha, Hlyboke, Krasne, Pishchane, Khatyshche, Vovchanske, Bochkove, and Komysarove were affected the most.

Those wounded during the shelling of Podoly in the Kupiansk Raion on March 29 were hospitalized in Kharkiv. Currently, one of the wounded is in serious condition in the intensive care unit. Two other women suffered shrapnel wounds to their soft tissues.

In de-occupied Ruska Lozova, Kharkiv Raion, half a thousand homes have already been powered up – about 95% of the power grids were damaged by shelling. Experts are currently replacing the damaged poles and planning to lay new wires.

Donetsk Oblast

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on offensive operations in the directions of Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka. Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled more than 60 enemy attacks. Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka remain at the epicenter of hostilities.

On March 29, the russians killed one resident of the Donetsk Oblast in the city of Chasiv Yar. Another five people in the Oblast were injured.

In total, since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,437 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and injured another 3,307 people. It is still impossible to determine the number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

At night, a russian rocket hit Druzhkivka. The house was damaged. No casualties or injuries have been reported.

In the Lysychansk direction, a house was damaged in Zakitne of the Lyman community; isolated shelling was recorded in the community.

Kramatorsk Vodokanal (water utility)continues to install fire hydrants in the city. The equipment, provided by the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine, will facilitate the process of refueling special vehicles of the State Emergency Service with water, as well as provide additional access points to the population’s drinking water.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk direction, isolated shelling of Avdiivka took place. Marinka, Krasnohorivka and Elizavetivka were under fire in the Marinka community. Two fires broke out in Elizavetivka.

The Kurakhove community was hit by four attacks, including two attacks by Hurricane rocket launcher and cluster munitions. Two houses in Kurakhove and two houses in Ostrovske were damaged.

In the middle of the night, the russians launched a rocket attack on Kutuzivka in the Dobropillia community. Two houses were destroyed. 

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

The enemy makes further attempts to capture the city of Bakhmut. During the assault, Ukrainian forces repelled 28 enemy attacks. At the same time, during the day of March 29, the russian army conducted an unsuccessful offensive on the outskirts of Orikhove-Vasylivka. The outskirts of the settlements of Orihove-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Novomarkove and Oleksandro-Shultyne came under fire.

It is known about four wounded civilians and two damaged high-rise buildings in Bakhmut.

The russian military is trying to cut off the entrance to Bakhmut, where more than two thousand residents remain. The Armed Forces are helping to evacuate people from the city.

Near Bakhmut, the Ukrainian military destroyed the ammunition depot and military equipment of the russian army with one shot.

Luhansk Oblast

During the day of March 29, the enemy fired artillery at Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Kuzmine, and Bilohorivka of the Luhansk Oblast.

At enterprises and institutions of the occupied Luhansk Oblast, mobile points for issuing russian passports are opened. In particular, such a point was opened in the Luhansk geriatric boarding house.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

During the shelling of Mykolaiv, shells also hit the cemetery. As of March 30, the most explosive finds are still found at the Balabanivske and Mishkovske cemeteries. Access to them is blocked for security reasons. 

More than 14,000 Crimean Pine and Common Oak seedlings were planted in the Bashtanka Raion In total, three hectares of the Bereznehuvate community were afforested.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, March 29, the russian military shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of ​​13 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Tonight, russian servicemen fired Grad weapons at residents of the Orihove community. Private houses were damaged.

Evacuation trains continue to run from the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Currently, given the operational situation, there is no need to announce a mandatory evacuation of the civilian population in the Oblast. Despite this, the voluntary departure of civilians continues.

Odesa Oblast

In the Odesa Oblast, Stremousov’s “follower” was detained, who collected data about the locations of the Defense Forces in the Oblast, and gave the coordinates of local critical infrastructure, in particular, power substations, to the russians. Also, at the beginning of the full-scale war, the man organized a propaganda network of telegram channels in Odessa, which campaigned to support the russian army. 

The names of Minsk and Moscow were removed from the plaque with the names of the capitals of the former Soviet republics on the building of the Odesa Central Post Office. The remaining 13 capitals were left.

Kherson Oblast

During the past day, the russian army shelled the Kherson community five times. The enemy fired 19 shells. Hits were recorded in the settlements of Inzhenerne and Antonivka. In addition, the russian military fired on summer cottages in the island and coastal zone. There were no casualties or injuries.

The occupiers also shelled 3 communities in the Beryslav Raion. In particular, Beryslav, Mykhailivka, Olhivka and Tyahynka were under attack. Industrial workshops, private houses and farm buildings were damaged. One person was injured.

This morning, the russian military shelled the embankment of Kherson. One person was wounded in the river port area.

Four former employees of the Kherson Northern Correctional Colony No. 90 will be tried for treason. During the occupation, they assumed the positions of illegal “junior inspectors” in the pseudo-organ of the execution of punishments of the russian army. Currently, they are in custody.

In the village of Pravdyne (Bilozerka community), a bridge over an irrigation canal was restored. The crossing was destroyed by the russian military during the occupation.

 Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Loud noises were heard in some areas of Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. It is connected with industrial works.

In the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, it is planned to create a network of rehabilitation centers for the recovery of defenders. Five hospitals can be identified as pivotal ones – in Dnipro, Pavlohrad, Kamianske and Novomoskovsk raions. Each will be responsible for different stages of rehabilitation.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Unmanned aerial vehicles of Ukrainian manufacturers were tested in the Kirovohrad Oblast. The goal is to replace Chinese drones with domestic developments with Ukrainian software. Developers from the cities of Pervomaisk (Mykolaiv Oblast), Kropyvnytskyi and Kyiv took part in the test flights of drones.

Free Ukrainian language courses were organized in Kropyvnytskyi. They are held at the Donetsk University of Internal Affairs. Classes consist of two blocks: grammatical and conversational. The group recruits no more than 25 people.

Cherkasy Oblast

Evacuation crews of the charitable foundation “Vostok SOS” arrived in the Uman community. Representatives of the less mobile population groups were evacuated. As of March 2023, there are more than 200 such people in the community.

Scientists from all over Ukraine visited the Kholodnyi Yar forest tract in the Chyhyryn Raion. They discussed the national park development plan and took plant samples for genetic research.

The Cherkasy Oblast received 16 tons of humanitarian cargo from the “Common Goal” public organization and the “Bird of Light Ukraine” foundation. It was handed over to the territorial communities of the Cherkasy Oblast. Already on the ground, this aid will be distributed among internally displaced persons. Today, there are about 100,000 IDPs in the oblast.

Another batch of aid from UNICEF was delivered to educational institutions of the Cherkasy Oblast. It was received in pivotal institutions and small schools in rural areas. These are 544 sets of “School in a box” and 3,000 backpacks with an individual stationery set.

Poltava Oblast

A modular shelter is being built in the village of Maiachka. In case of danger, it will protect 40 children. This is one of the first protective structures of this type. The Nekhvoroshcha community allocated more than 1 million hryvnias for construction. In general, the community plans to build such shelters for three kindergartens and a school. They are designed to accommodate 150 children. The protective structures will have heating, power supply, benches for sitting and generators.

12 communities of the Poltava Oblast received charging stations from international partners. The equipment was purchased and delivered within the framework of the UN Development Program project financed by the Embassy of Japan.

Children and women with disabilities are cared for in the Novi Sanzhary Children’s Boarding Home. Their age ranges from 6 to 35 years. In total, there are 99 people in the boarding house, including 12 internally displaced children. They have essentials for living, development, physical therapy and rehabilitation. The institution has a sewing workshop.

Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

During the day, another 57 people arrived in the Lviv Oblast by evacuation trains, and 23 displaced people – by bus.

30 internally displaced families living in the Yavoriv Raion received humanitarian aid from the “Right to Protection” charitable foundation. The organization provided folding beds, pillows, bedding, hygiene products, kitchen sets, flashlights. Aid for IDPs was handed over to the advisory and coordination center at the Yavoriv Raion Military Administration in partnership with UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) in Ukraine.

The Lviv Oblast is among the top five oblasts in terms of the level of sports development.

During the tour of the cities of Poland and Latvia, the Lviv National Men’s Choir Chapel “Dudaryk” collected 200,000 hryvnias for drones. First of all, drones will be purchased for the 80th Airborne Assault Brigade.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

The department of rehabilitation and restorative medicine was opened in the Nadvirna hospital.

In the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, a sensory room for children with special educational needs was opened in the Halych inclusive resource center. It is visited by children from four communities – Burshtyn, Dubivtsi, Bilshivtsi and Halych communities.

Zakarpattia Oblast

In Uzhhorod, 100,000 hryvnias will be paid to the families of defenders of Ukraine who died in the war. Last year, one-time assistance to families of fallen soldiers in the oblast center amounted to 50,000 hryvnias.
