Northern oblasts

Kyiv

President of Moldova Maia Sandu, as well as the prime ministers of Croatia, Slovakia, and Slovenia, arrived in Ukraine on the anniversary of the liberation of Bucha. Together with President Zelenskyy, they honored the memory of those who died during the russian occupation. They discussed countering russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, further cooperation at the bilateral level and on international platforms, as well as the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, and the reconstruction of the state.

The commission of the Ministry of Culture was again not allowed to enter the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. It was supposed to check two buildings yesterday, but representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate and its parishioners blocked the entrance. They declared they would let the commission in only after an appropriate court decision is made. The day before, the clergy filed a lawsuit against the reserve due to the termination of the lease agreement for the Lavra’s premises.

Kyiv Oblast

The northern suburbs of the capital city thundered with explosions: sappers were eliminating explosive ordnance in the Vyshhorod Raion.

By the end of 2023, Kyiv OVA together with the “Energy Efficiency Fund” plans to restore and carry out energy modernization of at least 150 apartment buildings. The first 4 houses have already been restored in Irpin.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In the Zhytomyr Oblast, a traitor to Ukraine, the assistant commander of the Kolchuha group, a 58-year-old native of Makiivka with the call sign “Student” was sentenced to 12 years in prison. In 2014, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the so-called “people’s militia” of the “DPR” terrorist organization. Currently, the perpetrator is hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied territory. He was declared wanted.

For the second time in a week, volunteers from the Zhytomyr Humanitarian Hub delivered a batch of Ukrainian-made Valkyrie drones to the military. They are the basis for aerial reconnaissance to adjust artillery and mortar fire. One complex costs UAH 1 million 200 thousand. This year, they have already purchased seven sets of Valkyries, 40 Mavic quadcopters and other equipment.

40 children from 25 displaced families, who have found shelter in Zhytomyr, received stationery, food and hygiene products from volunteers of the Lumos International Charitable Foundation.

Chernihiv Oblast

On March 31, russians shelled the territory of the Semenivka community, near the village of Oleksandrivka, probably with tube artillery.

Active reconstruction of the infrastructure and housing damaged as a result of russian military aggression is starting in the Nova Basan community. There, 78 residential buildings have already been restored, and the construction of 26 frame houses for families who have lost their homes and for IPDs is also underway. The project is being implemented by the “District No. 1” Charitable Foundation with the support of German partners and the “Help Ukraine” Charitable Foundation.

27 family-type children’s homes in the Chernihiv Oblast, where two hundred children are raised, received household appliances, furniture and food supplies worth about 1.7 million hryvnias. This charitable aid was provided to the oblast with the support of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.

Sumy Oblast

Yesterday, during the day, the enemy shelled the territories of 3 communities in the Sumy Oblast: Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, and Seredyna-Buda.

In Sumy, the military are installing new defense structures. Air-raid and other types of shelters are being repaired in the community.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Two of the nine missiles that russia fired at Kharkiv on March 30 exploded in midair. The shelling damaged civilian infrastructure and residential buildings. One missile hit the road of a residential neighborhood, damaging the energy infrastructure. But the relevant services quickly fixed everything.

UNESCO will allocate funds to rebuild the Hryhorii Skovoroda Museum by the end of 2023.

It will be recalled that the National Literary and Memorial Museum of Hryhorii Skovoroda in the Bohodukhiv Raion was destroyed by a direct hit by a russian missile in May 2022.

The premiere of the film Luxembourg, Luxembourg will take place on April 5 in Blyzniuky, where the main characters of the film from the Kurgan & Agregat band were born. The proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Donetsk Oblast

The enemy is focusing its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka sectors. Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled over 80 enemy attacks. The settlements of Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka remain in the epicenter of hostilities.

Due to hostilities in the Donetsk Oblast, coal production at state-owned mines decreased by 44% in the first three months of 2023 compared to the first three months of the previous year.

Forced evacuation of children from dangerous areas of Donetsk Oblast may be introduced in 13 more communities of the region. Currently, this applies only to Bakhmut.

On March 30, the russians killed 1 resident of the Donetsk Oblast — in Bakhmut. Another 6 people in the oblast were wounded.

Since the day of the onset of the full-scale war, russian weapons have killed 1,438 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast and wounded another 3,313. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

At night, russians attacked Kramatorsk, damaging 8 private houses but causing no casualties.

On March 30, during the day, russians twice shelled Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk Oblast with artillery. One person was wounded, and businesses, houses and infrastructure were damaged. Today, too, Kostiantynivka was shelled twice – one person was wounded, a state-owned enterprise and a factory building were damaged.

In the Lysychansk sector, 4 shells hit Zarichne in the Lyman community.

The cities of Sviatohirsk, Donetsk Oblast, and Easton, Connecticut (USA), have officially signed a memorandum of twinning. The cities are currently establishing contacts for future cooperation.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk direction, air explosions were recorded in the morning over Avdiivka. Also, the city was hit by a tank attack. There is damage, but no one was injured. Marinka, Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka came under fire in the Marinka community.

An avenue of fame and a memorial in honor of the fallen soldiers and officers of the community will appear in Dobropillia of the Donetsk Oblast. The memorial is planned to be built by mid-summer.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka direction, it is known of one dead and five wounded in Bakhmut as a result of russian military shelling.

Shelling of Vasiukivka and Rozdolivka was recorded in the Soledar community.

In Bakhmut, the border guards eliminated two assault groups of the occupiers. Six soldiers of the russian army were killed, eight were wounded.

Mariupol

In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, the russians began dumping garbage into the preserved “slag mountain” in the Kalmiuskyi district. After the mass demolition of the houses, the occupiers do not have enough space in the landfill. This can cause an ecological disaster in the city, because a large amount of dust rises from the slag mountain together with elements harmful to the body.

Luhansk Oblast

The russians are trying to put pressure on the Bilohorivka and Kreminna directions, so artillery duels are taking place in these areas.

The occupiers are shelling the routes for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the liberated settlements and the evacuation of the population from there.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

During March 30, the troops of the russian army twice shelled the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, “Oblteploenergo” installed 79 reverse osmosis units, which produce more than one and a half thousand cubic meters of purified water per day.

In the Mykolaiv House of Fleet Officers, a photo exhibition – an installation “Fortress of the South: Mykolaiv, Kherson, de-occupied territories” was opened. The organizers presented footage of the war, more than a hundred photos of Sergei Kononenko and Dmytro Skorokhodov, which had not been published anywhere before. In addition to photos, the exhibition placed exhibits from places military operations.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, March 30, the occupiers shelled 13 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The police received 30 reports about the destruction of houses and infrastructure facilities.

The russian military launched a series of rocket attacks on Zaporizhzhia and its suburbs using anti-aircraft missiles. Civil buildings were destroyed: a fire broke out in a private house, neighboring houses were damaged by the blast wave. One woman got shrapnel wounds. 

This afternoon, the russian occupiers shelled Zaporizhzhia again. As a result of the rocket attack, two people were slightly injured, they were given medical assistance on the spot. A woman and a child born in 2022 were locked in one of the houses. They have already been freed by rescuers. Three residential buildings were also damaged, two buildings were partially destroyed.

The russian military shelled the village of Rozumivka in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Also, the hits were recorded in the village of Nyzhnia Khortytsia, there was a hit in the area of ​​a local farm. Previously, there were no casualties or injuries.

Odesa Oblast

In the Black Sea, after the abatement of the storm, the russian naval group increased to 10 units. Also, one missile carrier with four Calibers remains on duty.

A 57-year-old man was detained in Odesa, who published posts in support of putin, calling to seize not only Ukrainian cities, but also European ones. He also spoke disparagingly about Ukrainians and claimed that Odesa is a russian city. During the search of his house, the police found an assault rifle, pistols, sabers and knives.

Until April 1, the 50th anniversary of Humoryna (Comedy show) will be held in Odesa. This year it will not be traditional due to the russian invasion and will include a stamp extinguishing and a concert.

Kherson Oblast

During March 30, the russian army from aviation, Grad multiple rocket launchers and artillery bombarded the Kherson Oblast 64 times and the city of Kherson nine times. Shells hit residential quarters. One person died, two were injured.

During the day, the russian army shelled the Beryslav, Novooleksandrivka, Novoraisk, Mylove, and Tiahynka communities. Houses and farm buildings were damaged .

Tonight, the russian army attacked Kherson three times, fought in the Suvorovsky district and the Korabel microdistrict. It also shelled the island and coastal part of the community. One person was injured.

Near Velyka Oleksandrivka, one person was killed and another was injured as a result of a car detonation on a russian mine

In the village of Posad-Pokrovske, three energy workers were blown up by a russian mine. They were working on restoring power lines. Two men died, one was wounded. 

On the left bank of the Kherson Oblast, Ukrainian aviation and artillerymen targeted two areas of concentration of russian forces and assets. 17 russian military personnel, 10 units of weapons and equipment, and a warehouse of russian air defense ammunition were destroyed in one day.

Nine members of an illegal armed formation, including the ex-head of the Security Service of Ukraine, will be tried for torturing civilians in the Kherson Oblast. They worked in the so-called “State Security Service of the Kherson Oblast”, which became an analogue of the FSB in the temporarily occupied territory of the region.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Yesterday evening, the russians shelled the Marganets community with barrel artillery. People were not injured. An enemy drone was also shot down near the city of Dnipro.

With funds from the local budget, the community of Nikopol purchased and handed over to the military a portable EcoFlow charging station for autonomous supply of electricity and materials for the construction of fortifications for effective resistance to the enemy. Artisans from Kryvyi Rih of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast handed over a mobile bath-sauna to the soldiers at the front.

In Dnipro there are food outlets for migrants and the elderly. People are given free lunches at food outlets. In order to receive vouchers, displaced persons must register with the Department of Social Security.

A charity photo exhibition-auction dedicated to Mariupol opened in Dnipro. The photos introduce visitors to the city before the full-scale war. Admission is free. Everyone can donate to help brave Ukrainian defenders. The biggest benefactors will get a chance to become the owners of these photos.

Dmytro Lytvynenko, a native of Nikopol, ran a half-marathon in the USA to help children who lost their parents due to the war. His route was 12.1 km in full military gear, which is about 25 kilograms. The man handed over all the collected funds to philanthropists to help Ukrainian children.

 Cherkasy Oblast

The shortest curfew in Ukraine was established in the Cherkasy Oblast. From the third of April, it will last from 00:00 to 4:00. Such a decision is related to the security situation and the sowing campaign. It was made to increase production capacity.

Evacuation crews once again brought the internally displaced people to the Uman community. These are elderly people, persons with disabilities, bedridden patients from temporarily occupied territories and from the war zone. IDPs will stay in social security institutions. Specialists will take care of them.

In Cherkasy, a safety class for children with special educational needs was opened on the basis of the “Kraina Dobra” [“Country of Kindness”] educational and rehabilitation center. Children from 3 to 18 years of age with reduced hearing, deafness or severe speech disorders study there.The rescuers conducted a quest-style lesson for them, where the students learned the rules of life safety.

Poltava Oblast

In the village of Polohy (Poltava Oblast), a memorial plaque was installed in honor of the fallen soldier Vadym Motienko. A 20-year-old soldier died a year ago in Mariupol. The board was installed on the facade of the school where the fighter studied.

The largest number of Ukrainians joined the “Recovery Army” from the Poltava Oblast. All of them perform socially useful works. In total, 2,883 people are involved.

The coat of arms of the former soviet union was dismantled on the facade of the “Poltava-Southern” station. The bas-relief with a sickle, a hammer and a five-pointed star was in an emergency condition. One of the fragments of the central molding fell near the entrance to the building.

More than 20 finds from the Poltava battle were handed over to the museum by archaeologists. These artifacts are over 300 years old. They will now be kept in the historical and cultural reserve “Battlefield of Poltava”. The found items belonged, in particular, to Swedish military formations.

Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

In Lviv, 4 residents of the Luhansk Oblast were sentenced to 13 years in prison. Prosecutors established that in February 2022, before the start of the full-scale invasion, they voluntarily switched to the russian side.

Volunteers from the Czech Republic together with the charitable organization “Help for Ukraine Today” developed a mobile bath and laundry complex for the soldiers of the 24th separate motorized infantry brigade named after King Danylo. It has already been handed over to the military.

Two more soviet-era monuments were liquidated in the Drohobych community, one of them dedicated to soviet pilots.

Rivne Oblast

A voluntary fire department was opened in the Oleksandria community. The certificate for receiving firefighting clothing and a truck crane was handed over to the volunteer team by the General of the State Fire Service of Poland, the head of volunteer formations in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Marek Kowalski, and representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

In the Rivne Oblast, a master manufactures night vision devices for the vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The first 10 products have already been sent to the front. Soldiers who have tried the device at work are asking for more. So the master works on a new batch.

The Rivne Oblast State Administration continues cooperation with international partners. Within its framework, 1,000 briefcases for preschools who will enter the first grade were received from the UNICEF Foundation.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Chernivtsi Oblast and city centers of social services received “EcoFlow” charging stations. The aid came from the charitable organization “SOS Children’s Villages”. Energy equipment will enable institutions to work under any conditions and effectively provide social services.

57,716 hryvnias were collected during the charity fair-festival “Our creative roads lead to victory” held at the Chernivtsi Philharmonic. The funds were transferred to the city charity fund “Myloserdia” [“Mercy”] to help defenders.

Zakarpattia Oblast

For 12 residents of Uzhgorod, financial aid for treatment in the total amount of 195,000 hryvnias will be allocated from the city budget. The deputies of the Uzhhorod City Council voted for the relevant draft decision.

This week, internally displaced persons registered in Uzhhorod received packages with necessary things for children, food and hygiene kits at the Humanitarian Aid Center “Owl’s Nest”. During the week, people could also get clothes, bed linen and dishes (2,500 units). Humanitarian aid was provided in partnership with PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V. and MONI LLC.

An external elevator for people with disabilities was installed in the Uzhgorod Territorial Center of Social Services. It was purchased as part of the project “Improving health care services in social institutions”, the partner of which is the Department of International Cooperation and Innovation of the Uzhhorod City Council. The platform is adapted for people with disabilities in wheelchairs. Elderly people who are patients of the territorial center will also use it to get up to the floors. These are 43 people.
