Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

An open thematic panel discussion with a public discussion of the founding date of Mariupol was held in Kyiv. Historians, local experts and public figures discussed the origins of the city. Kyiv Oblast

The President and Chief Executive Officer of CAMECO, Tim Hitzel, together with the team and management of NAEK “Energoatom” visited Irpin and Bucha. Canadian partners witnessed firsthand the atrocities committed by russia in the suburbs of the Ukrainian capital. In particular, they saw the destroyed bridge over the Irpin River, which thousands of Ukrainian civilians were forced to evacuate at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. They also visited the cemetery of broken and burned cars and visited the places in Bucha, where the russian military shot the civilian Ukrainian population.

In Irpin, a damaged house where more than 140 families live is being restored with the funds of the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. Before the full-scale invasion began, 380 people lived there. The building suffered significant damage. The roof, facade and balconies were destroyed, windows were broken, and the interior was damaged. Restoration work at the facility has begun. The damaged parts of the facade have already been dismantled. At present, works on the insulation of the basement building are being carried out.

Zhytomyr Oblast

SSU counter-intelligence exposed three residents from Zhytomyr Oblast and Kharkiv Oblast, who are suspected of working for the russian main intelligence agency. Among them is one citizen of the russian federation.

In Zhytomyr, the “Wild Race” will take place for the second time, during which it will be possible to run a distance along the slopes of the Teteriv River, overcoming obstacles, and donate to the needs of the military.

Chernihiv Oblast

On October 3, russian troops shelled the border areas of Chernihiv Oblast with tube artillery, grenade launchers, anti-aircraft guns and mortars. Border guards recorded 67 explosions. Snovsk, Semenivka and Horodnya communities were shelled.

Thanks to the finds – notebooks and shoe boxes, researchers of the “Educational House of Human Rights in Chernihiv” union, almost a year and a half later, managed to identify the names of two brigades and specific surnames of russian soldiers who, in February-March 2022, occupied the village of Velyka Doroha on Chernihiv Oblast.

Near Nizhyn, a bridge that was destroyed during hostilities in February-March 2022 is being rebuilt. Dismantling of the destroyed structures was completed on the overpass over the railway. Now the pillars of the new bridge are being erected.

Sumy Oblast

During October 3, the russian army shelled Sumy Oblast 15 times, 79 explosions were recorded. As a result of shelling, two private houses were damaged.

On the night and morning of October 4, the russian army shelled two communities in Sumy Oblast. 10 explosions were recorded.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

On the night of October 4, the enemy attacked the village of Borova in the Izyum raion with a pre-guided aerial bomb. A hit was recorded in the center of the village, a 2-story residential building, a kindergarten and the building of the employment center were damaged. An 83-year-old woman received minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

During the day, russians massively shelled populated areas of Kharkiv, Bogodukhiv, Chuguyiv, Kupyansk and Izyum raions.

In the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv raion, 5 private residential buildings were damaged. A school building was damaged in the village of Guryiv Kozachok, Bogodukhiv raion.

In the village of Ivashky, Bogodukhiv raion, the building of the incubator and distillery was damaged. 7 private houses were damaged as a result of shelling from the MLRS in the village of Odnorobivka, Bogodukhiv raion.

Yesterday, pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service inspected more than 7 hectares of territory and neutralized 145 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast

Russian troops shelled nine populated areas of Donetsk Oblast from aviation, S-300 air defense systems, Uragan, Smerch, Grad, artillery, tanks — seven people were wounded. 26 residential buildings, a shop, a workshop, and electrical networks were damaged. 

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,729 civilians of Donetsk Oblast and wounded another 4,025 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

In Siversk, as a result of russian shelling, a house was damaged, in the Lyman community, 26 shellings were recorded — without casualties.

The russians dropped a guided aerial bomb on the Illinivka community — 3 people were injured, 6 high-rise buildings, a private house, a shop and an outbuilding were damaged.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

On October 3, the russian military, probably from the “S-300”, hit the territory of the enterprise in Vyshnevo, Selydivka community. As a result of the shelling, two men and one woman were wounded. The Kurakhove community came under fire 5 times: 5 houses in Berestki and 1 in Gostrom were damaged; without destruction – in Kostiantynopolskyi, Ganivka and Veseloy Gay.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha raion

In the direction of Volnovakha, the russians shelled the Velyki Novosilky community with Urahan and artillery: 11 houses were damaged in Shakhtarske, and power lines were damaged in Yasna Polyana.

Mariupol

In the temporarily occupied city, residents continue to live in dilapidated houses. Most still have no gas, constant gusts and flooding, and also blackouts. Utilities are almost non-functional. Techniques are in short supply, as well as people.

Luhansk Oblast

Makiivka and Bilogorivka were also affected by artillery and mortar shelling.

The airstrikes do not stop either – another one near Novoselivskyi.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolayiv Oblast

On the morning of October 3, the enemy launched artillery strikes on the settlement of the Kutsurub community. There are no casualties.

On the afternoon of October 3, the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community was subjected to artillery shelling. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Bashtanka, Pervomaisk and Voznesensk raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The russian army fired 122 times on the towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast last day, October 3. Orikhove and Novodarivka suffered four air strikes. More than 10 settlements were under artillery fire.

A petition was registered on the website of the Zaporizhia City Council with the demand to “separate air alarms” and announce them separately in the city and region. To date, half of the votes required for consideration at the session of the city council have been collected.

Odesa Oblast

In September, approximately 50,000 tons of agricultural products were exported from the ports of Odesa through a temporary corridor. Ukraine continues to not consider options for cooperation with the russia regarding the export of products, instead it continues to work on this issue with Turkey, the UN and other Western partners.

The front office of the “Veteran-HUB” service center was opened in Odesa, where administrative, social and advisory services will be provided to veterans. Two administrators of the center for providing administrative and social services already work in the front office, and reception will also be carried out by representatives of the pension fund.

Kherson Oblast

During the past day, the army of the russia fired 699 shells in the Kherson Oblast. In the Kherson raion, they targeted the administration building, educational institution, post office, churches, pharmacies, and the territory of an agricultural enterprise. One person died, 16 were injured.

The russian military dropped dozens of guided aerial bombs on Burgunka, Olhivka and Mykolaivka in the Kherson Oblast. Data on victims and destruction are being clarified.

In the morning, the russian army shelled Kherson. The educational institution was damaged, there was a fire in the garage. 

Russian troops shelled Sadov in the Kherson Oblast. Previously, a 65-year-old man who was in the yard of the house was injured.

After russian troops blew up the Kakhovska NPP, more than two thousand consumers remain without power in Kherson.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

The head of the Defense Council of Kryvyi Rih confirmed the explosion today during the announcement of the air alert and noted that it did not occur on the territory of the city and raion.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Police officers from Kirovohrad Oblast, as part of a combined unit, defused more than 2,000 pieces of explosives in Kherson Oblast.

In Kropyvnytskyi, signatures are being collected to establish a daily minute of silence and stop public transport in memory of the victims at 9:00 am every day.

Poltava Oblast

A charity fair was organized in Poltava’s Lyceum #17. Students raised money to help the military. In particular, they plan to buy an unmanned aerial vehicle.

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

The authorities of Rivne Oblast are considering offering jobs as school bus drivers to women. This is due to a shortage of drivers, as some of them went to war. Until now, there was no such practice in the oblast.

Volyn Oblast

Four Finnish instructors are training Volyn medics and border guards in tactical medicine according to NATO standards. The training involves 45 people.

Three more school buses were delivered to Volyn, purchased with state subsidies and co-financing from local budgets. In total, Volyn Oblast needed 40 school buses, and another 20 will be delivered by the end of the year.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

A traitor who spied for russia in Khmelnytskyi Oblast was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation. He acted as an immigrant from the frontline area in eastern Ukraine. He tried to establish the main locations of the Armed Forces, the State Border Guard Service, and the National Police in the region. In addition, the russian agent was tracking the routes of Ukrainian military equipment and wanted to identify transit trains with weapons and ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This morning, on October 4, rescuers met another evacuation train with residents of Kherson Oblast in Khmelnytskyi. They helped people get off the train, carry their belongings, get to an ambulance, and provided psychological assistance.

Twenty-four residents of the Khmelnytskyi community will receive financial assistance for property damaged by rocket attacks. It will be provided at the expense of the relevant allocations of the general fund of the city’s budget. The amount is almost UAH 372 thousand. The smallest amount of assistance is UAH 940, the largest is UAH 50 thousand.

650 schoolchildren were evacuated by the security services in Shepetivka due to a bomb threat. Rescuers, medics, and law enforcement arrived at the schools.

Kamyanets-Podilskyi

The Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council supported the charity project of the SOS Civil Defense Headquarters Foundation. This time, it provided a municipal bus for the SOS Women program. The displaced women and their children went on a tour of the Holy Trinity fortifications and the Khotyn fortress.

The Kamianets-Podilsky City Council launched the creation of the city’s first multi-level parking lot with a shopping and office center. The project is to be implemented at the expense of an investor.

Chernivtsi Oblast

By Presidential decree, senior soldier Mykola Kozak was posthumously awarded the Order for Courage, III degree.

The Heroes’ Alley with portraits of the fallen defenders was opened in the central square of Kadubivtsi village. The community has already lost ten soldiers.

A memorial plaque was unveiled at the Koroviysk Lyceum to Vasyl Hryndey, a graduate of the school, a soldier of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss” who died defending the statehood and integrity of Ukraine.

The Chernivtsi city authorities purchased off-road vehicles, 8 drones with thermal imagers, 8 kamikaze drones, a truck, motorcycles, and other equipment necessary for the defense of the state. All of this was handed over to the military serving in the Zaporizhzhia sector.

Members of the amateur children’s groups of the Drachynets House of Culture visited all the villages of the Mamaivka territorial community with a charity concert program “Good evening, we are from Ukraine!”. The funds raised were used to purchase a Mercedes car, which was handed over to the soldiers of the separate rifle battalion of the 42nd Brigade of the military unit A4856.

The Department of Social Protection of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration received charitable assistance from the NGO Committee for Promoting the Development of Information Society from Kropyvnytskyi. It is equipment for connecting to the Internet. The devices will be used in social institutions of the region.

The Chernivtsi Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital received humanitarian aid from the French charity organization Actions Humanitaires. It includes beds, mattresses, and other medical furniture. This aid will significantly improve the conditions for children in the renovated wards.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

A charity concert and auction was held at the Ternopil Regional Philharmonic. Lots were sold and more than one and a half million hryvnias were raised to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia Oblast

The humanitarian organization Help – “Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe” announces registration for targeted financial assistance to support microbusinesses in Lviv, Volyn, Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblasts. It is planned to implement grant assistance for 71 enterprises. The Help grant includes financial support worth up to 2,400 euros and monitoring of supported microbusinesses.
