Northern Oblasts

Kyiv Oblast 

Soldiers of the 1129th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of Bila Tserkva received awards from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, and the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev.

Minister of Defense of the Republic of Estonia Hanno Pevkur paid a working visit to Kyiv Oblast. He visited the cities most affected during active hostilities – Irpin and Bucha. The minister visited the Gostomel highway, where active reconstruction of the residential sector and the road is underway. I looked at the works on the construction of apartment buildings in the “Irpin Lypky” housing complex, one of which was completely destroyed.

In the Kyiv Oblast, a dual-purpose shelter was opened in the Yurivka Lyceum of the Gatne community, which can accommodate 700 people at a time. The work of the new shelter was inspected by the head of KOMA Ruslan Kravchenko, Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Timur Tkachenko, representatives of raion and local authorities.

Zhytomyr Oblast

A resettled woman from Donetsk Oblast will be tried in Zhytomyr Oblast, who cooperated with russian military intelligence and spread posts on social networks justifying russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

Chernihiv Oblast

On October 2, russian troops shelled three communities in Chernihiv Oblast. The communities of Novgorod-Siversk, Semenivka and Horodnya came under fire.

On October 3, the russian army shelled the village of Yeline in the Snovsk community of Chernihiv Oblast. The fire destroyed one private house and four outbuildings.

During 2023, about 1,700 people left the border of Chernihiv Oblast due to russian shelling.

Monuments to soldiers located at the Yatsevo cemetery and damaged or destroyed during active hostilities in Chernihiv in 2022 are proposed to be restored at the expense of the city budget. Acting Mayor of Chernihiv Oleksandr Lomako reported that during the meeting on October 3 in the city council.

Sumy Oblast 

During the day of October 2, the russian military carried out 13 shellings of Sumy Oblast, a total of 50 explosions were recorded. Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Yunakivka, and Shalygyne communities came under fire.

On the morning of October 3, the russian military fired mortars at Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novgorodske communities in Sumy Oblast, 7 explosions were recorded.

Eastern Oblasts 

Kharkiv Oblast 

During yesterday, the russian occupiers shelled the civilian infrastructure and the civilian population of Bogodukhiv, Chuguyiv, Kupyansk and Izyum raions.

Yesterday, the enemy struck the outskirts of Kharkiv with 5 S-300 missiles. Hitting the ground was recorded, the farm building, utility rooms of the funeral services bureau were damaged. One of the rockets hit one of the universities on the territory of the educational campus, without causing large-scale destruction. No casualties.

The enemy also struck the city of Kupyansk with a guided aerial bomb. 6 private residential buildings, a warehouse building and 4 multi-storey residential buildings were damaged. A 76-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman were injured. Hospitalized in a moderate condition.

In addition, the enemy carried out guided bomb strike in the area of the villages of Cherneshchyna and Pershotravneve of the Izyum raion, there were no casualties.

In the village of Guryiv Kozachok, Bogodukhiv raion, 3 private houses were damaged by shelling.

In the village of Okhrimivka, Chuguyiv raion, the building of the farm workshop was damaged, and there was a fire.

Yesterday, pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service inspected more than 7 hectares of territory and neutralized 145 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast 

Russian troops shelled 12 settlements in Donetsk Oblast during October 2. Five residents were wounded, 23 residential buildings, a utility company, a gas station, and power grids were damaged by shelling from aviation, artillery, and “Grads”.

Yesterday, 5 residents of Donetsk Oblast were injured.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,729 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 4,198 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion 

A house and a non-residential building were damaged in Siversk, a dispensary was damaged in Torske in Lyman community, and 2 streets in Pereyizne in Zvanivka community were in the shelling zone.

The кussian military shelled Kostyantynivka this morning. No dead or injured were found. Several explosions rang out, there were several hits. The information is being clarified.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

The russians shelled Kurakhivka community 5 times, damaged 21 houses: 10 in Kurakhivka, 7 in Kurakhivka, and 4 in Trudovo. 1 person was injured in Trudovo.

In the Maryinka community, a person was injured in Elizavetivka, and a house was damaged in Illinka. In the morning, Avdiyivka was shelled from tanks and “Hrad” – two streets were hit.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

Over the past day, the Toretsk community was subjected to numerous shellings: 2 houses and an administrative building were damaged in Toretsk, 2 houses and an abandoned industrial building in Severne, and 3 houses in Nelipivka. 3 more houses were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha raion

In the Volnovasky direction, 2 people were injured in Novoukrayinka of the Vuhledar community.

Luhansk Oblast

The russians hit Nevske and Novolyubivka with KAB-500 aerial bombs. Four times – along Novolyubivka, two more times – along Nevske. The occupiers took aim near the school they destroyed earlier. Another 30 explosions were heard in the area around these settlements.

Makiyivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka suffered from artillery and mortar fire.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolayiv Oblast

On the night of October 3, 16 “Shahed-136/131” type UAVs were destroyed by air defense forces and means in the Mykolaiv Oblast.

At night, on October 3, enemy artillery shelling was recorded in the water area of the Kutsurub community. There are no casualties.

The Security Service conducted a large-scale special operation in the Mykolayiv Oblast, as a result of which it neutralized another russian intelligence network. It included 13 local residents who worked for the FSB. The attackers gathered intelligence about the locations of bases and movements of the Defense Forces in the territory of the southern oblasts. They also corrected russian air attacks on the residential and social infrastructure of the regional center. On the basis of the collected evidence, the investigators of the Security Service notified the nine detainees of suspicion under Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The accused are currently in custody. The court found four more members of the enemy agents guilty of the crimes committed and sentenced them to 8 to 15 years in prison.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

128 strikes were made by the russian army against the cities and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast last day. Five airstrikes were carried out by the russians on Orikhiv, Novodarivka and Mala Tokmachka. Almost 10 settlements were under artillery fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a MiG-29 fighter jet shot down a russian UAV, the Eastern Air Command unit reported.

In the Khortytsia National Reserve, residents and guests of the city were asked to refrain from walking along the coastal protective strips and shoals along the island and exposed rocks, as this is prohibited by the relevant decision of the Oblast Defense Council.

Odesa Oblast

The russian military attacked Zmiiny Island in Odesa with two guided aerial bombs.

The russian army has increased the number of missile carriers in the Black Sea. Currently, two small missile ships of the Buyan-M project are on combat duty, which can carry up to 16 Calibers.

Kherson Oblast

Over the past day, the russian military fired 502 projectiles from various types of weapons in the Kherson Oblast. They hit the buildings of educational institutions, churches, the military headquarters, a shopping center and a critical infrastructure facility in Kherson. Two people died, and seven were injured.

Chornobayivka survived russian shelling at night. The enemy hit the village nine times. Damaged houses, educational institutions, and administrative buildings. There are no casualties or injuries.

In the morning, the russian army struck a house in Zmiyivka, Kherson Oblast. According to preliminary data, one person was injured. Ingulets was also attacked three times during the night. Russian shells destroyed the administration building and the library. The church, post office and agricultural enterprise were damaged.

The russian military launched an airstrike on Antonivka. According to preliminary information, three local residents were injured. Information about the destruction and victims is being clarified.

Today, around noon, russian troops shelled the Dnipro district in Kherson. Private houses were damaged. A 54-year-old man died. He was in the garage at the time of the attack. Kindiyka also came under fire. A 54-year-old woman who was in the yard of the house was injured. She was hospitalized in moderate condition.

In the temporarily occupied Skadovsk and Henichesk in the Kherson Oblast, activists of the “Yellow Ribbon” movement burned the tricolor, propaganda leaflets of the russian and hung more than 100 yellow ribbons.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

13 unmanned aerial vehicles and a cruise missile of the russian army destroyed air defense forces over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the night of October 3. There were hits in Pavlohrad, and industrial facilities were destroyed. The falling debris also caused fires in Pavlohrad and Dnipro. The fire has been extinguished. The community of Myrivka in the Nikopol Raion was shelled with heavy artillery. Two houses and an outbuilding were damaged. No one was killed or injured.

A resident of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was sentenced to 5 years in prison for distributing videos on social media with glorification of representatives of the ” luhansk people’s republic/donetsk people’s republic” and the wagner military group, justifying and denying russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.

Kirovohrad Oblast

A memorial plaque was unveiled at the Vysokobairach Gymnasium of the Velykosyerynivka Village Council of the Kropyvnytskyi Region in honor of former student Andrii Tarapaka, who died in March 2022 near Barvenkove, Kharkiv Oblast. The soldier was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree and the Golden Cross badge.

An Alley of Glory dedicated to the defenders of Ukraine who died in the russian-Ukrainian war was opened in the central square of Dobrovelychkivka, Novoukrainsk Raion.   

15 shelters in educational institutions of 13 communities are being repaired at the expense of a state budget subvention. This is more than UAH 31 million that needs to be spent on the facilities by the end of this year.

Poltava Oblast

Another batch of generators for Poltava Oblast has been delivered by international partners. These are 91 diesel generators of different capacities. They will be used to power critical infrastructure facilities.

The Poltava community handed over a crossover vehicle to the scouts for combat missions.

Vinnytsia Oblast

A memorial plaque in honor of the fallen sapper and marine Yuriy Myhun, codenamed “Aeneas,” was unveiled in the village of Bilozerivka, Lypovets community. The plaque was installed on the wall of the local lyceum where the defender studied and later taught for two years.

Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi posthumously awarded two defenders from Khmelnytskyi – Dmytro Kramar from Khmelnytskyi and Ihor Liashenko from Shepetivka – the title of Heroes of Ukraine. Both soldiers were also awarded the Golden Star Order.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

In order to restore the historical traditions of the national army, and in view of the exemplary performance of its tasks in protecting the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine, the military unit from Kamianets-Podilskyi was awarded the honorary name “Podillia” by Presidential Decree.

284 first-year cadets of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs take the oath of police officers in Kamianets-Podilskyi. The university was relocated to Khmelnytskyi Oblast when the full-scale invasion began.

On the Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks, the city’s Open Ukrainian Unarmed Fighting Championship “Spas” was held. It was attended by 104 people aged 6 to 23.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Another Action Center was opened in Bukovyna. It was opened in the Banyliv community. It will provide more than 170 administrative services to residents of 4 settlements of the community. UAH 340 thousand was allocated from the local budget for its arrangement. 

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posthumously awarded the title of “Hero of Ukraine” and the Order of the Golden Star to Vasyl Matiychuk and Stepan Vorobets from Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

Ternopil Oblast

A volunteer smithy in Zaliztsi has made a hundred thousand braces for the military. The soldiers use them to strengthen their dugouts. The men have been making staples for the defenders every day for 10 months. The men used 18 tons or 40 kilometers of reinforcement for 100 thousand brackets.  

Zakarpattia Oblast 

As part of the program, with the support of the Dog Training Center of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zakarpattia Oblast, conditions have been created for the training of certain breeds of service dogs. After training, the dogs will be handed over to veterans free of charge upon request. The first three dogs will help with the psycho-emotional rehabilitation of soldiers upon completion of training at the Dog Training Center. The head of the Regional Military Administration recognized Zakarpattia’s long-lived residents. There are 23 centenarians in Zakarpattia Oblast who are a hundred years old or older: 6 men and 17 women. The oldest, Mykola Derevlianyk from Uzhhorod, will turn 106 in a few weeks. Six other countrymen will celebrate their centenary this year.
