Kyiv
In Kyiv, a young volunteer and schoolboy from Brovary, Bohdan Pavlov, sold pastries and raised funds for a vehicle for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was awarded the “For the Defense of the State” award.
Kyiv Oblast
The Security Service of Ukraine has identified the commander of the Akhmat Special Rapid Response Squad of the federal service of the national guard troops of the russian federation in the chechen republic, who ruthlessly killed five civilians in the Bucha Raion of the Kyiv Oblast.
German philanthropists Mike Menke, Sibyl von Düring and Vasyl Senkiv, with the support of the charitable foundation, donated an ambulance, two ultrasound diagnostic devices and medicines to the Irpin Central City Hospital.
Before the start of the heating season in Kyiv Oblast, 690 kilometers of power lines will be repaired, and another 80 power generation facilities will be technically upgraded. The work will be carried out by specialists of the Kyiv Oblast Power Grids of DTEK.
Zhytomyr Oblast
On August 29, almost half a thousand residents of Zhytomyr came to the Smolyan Military Cemetery in Zhytomyr to commemorate the fallen soldiers of Ukraine. On the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine, a meeting-requiem was held there.
In Zhytomyr, they said goodbye to the fallen defender Viktor Perepelytsa. He was buried at the city’s Smolyan Military Cemetery. Eternal glory!
The combat medic of the 30th detached mechanized brigade of the “North” operational command, Ksenia Konoplya, and the company commander of the 95th Zhytomyr brigade, Yevhen Yurchak, were awarded the Cross of Combat Merit. A mural dedicated to the defender of Mariupol, Vitaliy Trukhan (the call sign “Bitsukha”) appeared in Chernihiv. It was painted on the facade of the 15th Lyceum, where the fighter studied.
Sumy Oblast
Today at around 8 a.m., the russian military shelled the outskirts of the village in the Krasnopillia Raion of the Sumy Oblast with mortars and self-propelled artillery mounts. A total of 16 hits were recorded.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Yesterday, around 8 p.m., the russians launched 2 missile attacks on the center of Kharkiv. Administrative buildings in the city center were partially destroyed.
This morning began with enemy fire. Around 7 a.m., the occupiers bombarded the Kyivskyi district of the city with cluster munitions. Residential buildings were damaged. A 77-year-old man was wounded.
Over the past day, enemy shelling of settlements in the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv raions of the oblast continued. Residential houses and outbuildings were damaged, several fires broke out. A number of garages were destroyed.
Donetsk Oblast
Kramatorsk
The central part of the city of Sloviansk was again shelled.
At night, enemy missiles hit the area of the “SATU” (Slavic Aviation and Technical College). There were no victims or injured. However, this shelling left several micro-districts of the city without electricity. It will take a long time to restore power supply due to the damage of the transformer. There are also reports of shelling of the central part of the city already in the afternoon. There is no information about the casualties yet.
Evacuation of the population from Kramatorsk continues. Regular bus lines took people to the Kirovohrad Oblast today.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
The occupiers attacked settlements in the east of the Pokrovsk Raion. They fired missiles, artillery, Uragan and Grad multiple launch rocket systems. The cities of Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, and Maryinka came under fire.
The occupiers kept shelling Avdiivka all night through. There were wounded. According to Vitaliy Barabash, head of the Avdiivka city military administration, the city was bombarded by the Grad MLRS and artillery. Four people were wounded as a result of the shelling by the invaders. Despite the constant fire, humanitarian aid continues to be brought into the city, and a well with service water is being commissioned.
The past day in the Pokrovsk community was relatively quiet. There are no facts about the casualties and the destruction over the past day were not recorded.
Humanitarian support to the residents of the Maryinka community continues. Once again, the residents of the city of Krasnohorivka received packages of relief supplies. Currently, the delivery takes place in very difficult and dangerous conditions, because shelling of populated areas does not stop.
Mariupol
Work in the Mariupol port has almost stopped. The russians were unable to start work at full capacity due to insufficient power voltage, damage to the port cranes, and flooded Meotyda. Therefore, the main freight transportation will be carried out by ferry from the russian city of Yeisk.
On September 12, a separate lesson will be held in the occupied schools in Mariupol. A lesson where they will teach “how you should love your homeland”, “why russian bombs that destroyed the lives of Mariupol children are a good thing”, as well as “why a crushed city and thousands of dead, including children, is liberation”.
Luhansk Oblast
A powerful guerilla movement operates in the Luhansk Oblast. The invaders do not feel safe, even being “deep in the rear” of their army.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
On the night of August 28th, the russian military fired rockets at two districts of Zaporizhzhia. Two people received shrapnel wounds. 9 high-rise buildings and 40 private buildings were destroyed (two of them were completely destroyed).
For 14 hours, russian troops bombarded Orikhiv with rocket systems and barrel artillery. Two children were concussed, and their mother suffered a brain injury. All three are in the hospital.
During the shelling of Orikhov, the occupiers used incendiary shells, which caused fires.
On August 29th, 4 explosions rang out in the occupied Melitopol. The information is being clarified.
Zaporizhzhia NPP (Energodar)
In the evening and at night, the third and fifth neighborhoods of Energodar were shelled. 10 residents were injured. The Zaporizhzhia NPP continues to operate with the threat of radioactive and fire safety violations. A special mission of the IAEA is going to the nuclear plant.
Kherson Oblast
Ukraine started fighting for the Kherson region. The armed forces of Ukraine broke through the first line of defense of the occupiers near Kherson. The 109th “dpr” regiment withdrew from its positions. Russian paratroopers, who were their support, also fled the battlefield. This was reported by the “Kahovka” operational group of troops

Skadovsk
Collaborators prepare for the beginning of the academic year on September 1st, recruit new teachers to schools. In Skadovsk, 24-hour armed military security will be provided in the schools that will work. Parents will not be allowed to enter the school grounds.
The occupiers continue to detain some activists and engage in looting.
The situation is critical every day. People under occupation feel themselves in captivity. They try to help each other. It is difficult for people to be in occupation, morally some cannot stand it. When the opportunity arises, they try to leave for free territories.
Practically nothing works in the city, there are no new supplies of food and clothing. People will sell off everything that is left. Banks and ATMs are not working. The new “military government” and the city council are working. The city is deserted, air-raid sirens sound and drones fly very often.
The coordinator of the Ukrainian Initiative “Active Community” today handed over small packages to the elderly – food and household products. She participates in volunteering and monitors community news.
Mykolayiv Oblast
Yesterday afternoon, the enemy attacked Mykolaiv with the Smerch multiple rocket launcher system. As a result, a fire broke out on the territory of the elevator. Other infrastructure objects, including residential buildings, were damaged. There are no casualties.
Yesterday evening at 5:20 p.m., the enemy struck Ochakiv of the Ochakiv community. Hitting happened mainly on the territory of the aqua zone.
Also, yesterday evening after 7:00 p.m., the enemy hit the industrial infrastructure of Mykolaiv with the Uragan multiple rocket launcher system. There are no casualties.
Yesterday, as a result of enemy shelling, residential buildings were partially destroyed in the village of Pervomaiske of the Pervomaiska hromada. There are no casualties.
Tonight, the russians fired artillery at the village of Kotlyareve. Two residential buildings and farm buildings were hit.
The Berezneguvat community remains under constant fire.
Odesa Oblast
The day in the community passed peacefully.
On August 29th, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance of defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. On the Alley of Fallen Heroes, one of the city’s cemeteries, the memory of the fallen heroes were honored and the National Flag of Ukraine was raised. Also in Odesa, flowers were laid on the wall in memory of those who died for the unity of Ukraine.
People are united and active, volunteer, take part in charity events. The situation is tense due to the threat of rocket attacks.
The coordinator of the Ukraininan Initiative “Active Community” provided information to citizens about receiving psychological, social and humanitarian assistance.
Central regions
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Due to the enemy attack on Nikopol the night before, 6 people were injured and 1 person died. As a result of shelling, 2 residential buildings were destroyed, 34 were damaged. 17 farm buildings, a car, power lines and gas pipelines were damaged. More than 2.5 thousand families are without electricity.
15 residential buildings were damaged in Chervonogrihorivka. 2 farm buildings were destroyed, and 5 were mutilated. There is the destruction of the temple and the enterprise. Also, gas pipelines and power lines were affected.
In the Synelnyk district, the Velikomykhailiv and Raiv communities are under enemy fire. Residential buildings and commercial buildings were damaged. There was a fire, which the rescuers are putting out.
In Dniprovsky the dacha(summer residents) area was shelled. 3 houses were damaged.
Residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region received awards from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. 12 people – representatives of district and community leaders, and heads of enterprises – were awarded “For the assistance of the Armed Forces” medals.
Administrative service centers of the Dnipropetrovsk region accepted 10,000 applications for compensation for the costs of accommodating displaced persons.
In Dnipro, in the buildings of housing and construction cooperatives, all windows have been completely replaced today at the expense of the city budget. These houses were damaged on July 15th as a result of russian missile strikes.

Kirovohrad Oblast
In the community, one after another, air-raid alarms sounded, and there was a threat of a rocket attack on Kropyvnytskyi. Currently, the situation is calm and under control.
On August 29th, on the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine, the residents of Kropyvnytskyi held a moment of silence and laid flowers to honour the soldiers who died in the fight for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
In Kropyvnytskyi, the leadership of the city, oblast, law enforcement agencies, clergy, military volunteers, and family members of the fallen soldiers laid flowers at the Alley of Glory at the “Forts” memorial complex and honoured the memory of the fallen during a nationwide moment of silence.
In Kpopyvnytskyi, they paid their respects to the fallen Hero – senior sergeant Oleg Mykytenko.
Another group of evacuees from Donbas arrived in Kropyvnytskyi today.
Poltava Oblast
From September 1st, almost half of the schools of the Poltava Oblast will start the school year in paperless mode. Last month, a memorandum was signed between the Poltava Oblast Military Administration and the subsidiary Lithuanian company AITI PRO, thanks to which schools in the oblast can access the My School system for free during the martial law period. It is a complete learning ecosystem for students, parents and teachers. Currently, 52 schools have joined this system. Another 206 previously implemented other platforms in the educational process. The process of digitalization of education in the oblast continues.
In the last week, Poltava schools concluded 11 more contracts for the ongoing repair of basements. For most of them, the contractors were given time until the end of November. Presumably, by that time, students of the respective schools, lyceums and gymnasiums will study remotely. The main task of repairs is to arrange shelters that will meet the requirements of the State Emergency Service and other authorities.
The International Committee of the Red Cross once again provided humanitarian aid to Poltava. This time, a shipment of bed linen and equipment was received: washing machines, refrigerators, kettles, etc. The cargo is intended for additional staffing of collective centres where internally displaced persons live.
In Poltava, volunteers create stoves for heating and cooking on the front lines. At the moment, they need help — they are collecting: household gas cylinders, a pipe bender for a profile pipe, and sandblasting.
The team of AUI “Active Community” of Poltava, in cooperation with Iryna Tverdohlib, head of the public organization “Sports for All”, had the opportunity to provide financial assistance for the purchase of medicines for 5 women with disabilities who moved to the city of Poltava from other cities. Funds were collected and distributed to those in need thanks to caring people.
Western Oblasts
Ivano-Frankivsk
The situation in the oblast is stable and under control. During the last day, as of 6:30 p.m., there were no air warning signals.
A giant plant – the Zaporizhia Plant of Non-ferrous Metals – was relocated to the Ivano-Frankivsk community. The enterprise is already working and has a powerful production base.
In the city, social canteens, which were placed on the basis of some educational institutions of the city, temporarily stopped working. According to the mayor, this phenomenon is temporary and related to the preparation of lyceums for the academic year.
The “August conference” of heads of community educational institutions was also held, where they talked about new threats. Basically, education in lyceums will be in a mixed format. Although there are institutions where training will be online only.
Rivne Oblast
Yesterday, during the evening air raid, the enemy fired 4 rockets at the objects of the military infrastructure in the city of Sarny, there were no casualties. About 30 houses and the premises of the central district hospital were damaged by the shock wave. Appropriate services are available on site. This was reported by the head of the Rivne oblast military administration, Vitaliy Koval.
There were no air alarms during the day today as of 18:00.
Khmelnytsky Oblast
Kamianets-Podilskyi
In Kamianets-Podilskyi, the memory of defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence was commemorated. A requiem rally was held in the renovated Heroes’ Square, flowers were laid, Ukrainian soldiers were remembered in a moment of silence, and priests held a memorial service on the Alley of Glory of the city cemetery.
During the “dialogue hour” with the families of the fallen Heroes, the heads of the structural units that take care of the social, medical, and humanitarian spheres communicated, listened, answered their questions, and wrote down suggestions.
The Algorithm of the actions of the teacher and the responsible person during the training sessions is published on the website of the city council.
120 children of the community, who are registered with the children’s service, were given school supplies according to their age, and first graders were given backpacks. The mayor congratulated them on the new school year.
In the “Rozmay” center, humanitarian aid from the World Central Kitchen charitable fund continues in cooperation with the city council. Assistance is provided to pensioners, persons with disabilities, large families, single parents and mothers who have not yet received food packages.
