Kyiv

Volunteer Daisuke Tarutani visited Zhytomyr for the second time. He came from Japan, from the city of Kobe. The man wants to make Kobe and Zhytomyr sister cities. Together with his wife Tetiana from Donetsk, Daisuke Tarutani has helped 30 Ukrainians safely evacuate to Japan over the past four months. The volunteer signed a letter of guarantee stating that he would help Ukrainian refugees in Japan, and that he would take care of the relocation and stay of Ukrainians in Japan.
The community and priests of the St. Michael’s Cathedral of Zhytomyr transferred the twelfth vehicle for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the front line. According to the rector of the church, Father Bohdan Boyko, they started to collect money for cars for the military from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia into Ukraine.
In Zhytomyr, internally displaced persons can get a transport card that will help them travel around the city cheaper, Mykola Yermakov, acting head of the transport and communications department of the city council, said. On August 30, the russians shelled two communities in the Chernihiv Oblast from the territories of russia and belarus. In the morning, the occupiers fired six shots from a self-propelled artillery mount on the territory of the Novhorod-Siversk community from the russian village of Sluchevsk, in the Bryansk region. In the evening, eight explosions thundered in the Semenivka community. The enemy fired from the direction of the belarusian village of Skachok, in the Gomel region.
Today, near the village of Shestovytsia, rescuers neutralized ammunition by detonation.
Today, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine, Anka Feldhusen, visited Chernihiv.
Chernihiv schools will help restore the savED charity foundation. It was created by former Minister of Education Anna Novosad together with the public organization GoGlobal. The Foundation will attract funds from abroad to rebuild educational institutions in Ukraine destroyed and damaged by the russian army. They will start with Chernihiv, where 25 of the 34 schools were seriously damaged, and two were completely destroyed.

4 illegal russians were detained in the Sumy Oblast. The facts of their illegal stay on the territory of the oblast were established by the employees of the Department of Organizing the Prevention of Illegal Migration, Readmission and Expulsion of the Office of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in the Sumy Oblast jointly with representatives of the Main Directorate of the National Police and the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Kharkiv Oblast
Last night, the enemy continued shelling Kharkiv. Around 11 p.m., the russians shelled the Novobavarskyi district with the Smerch MLRS. The road surface was damaged, the windows in the houses were broken.
Around midnight, 3 missiles were launched from Belgorod in the direction of Kharkiv. One exploded on the territory of the russian federation, another – in the air over the territory of the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. The last missile hit the area near an educational institution in the Kyivskyi district. Residential buildings and office premises were damaged, several fires broke out. Two women, aged 81 and 71, were wounded.
Yesterday evening, the russians shelled the village of Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv Raion.
Yesterday, at about 10 a.m., the enemy massively shelled the center of Kharkiv from the Pion self-propelled artillery mounts. Residential buildings, places of rest, and cars were damaged, several fires broke out. As a result of this shelling, 4 people were killed, 14 civilians were wounded, including a 6-year-old child.
After the russian shelling on August 30, unexploded ammunition cassettes remained in the Novobavarskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts of Kharkiv.
During the day, the enemy shelled settlements of the Kharkiv and Bohodukhiv raions of the oblast, destroyed residential houses and outbuildings. Last day, in the oblast, one person was hospitalized with injuries.
The Rohan community, which was liberated from russian occupation in the spring, received three emergency medical aid vehicles from benefactors from Germany.
Donetsk Oblast
In the Donetsk sector, the enemy does not leave attempts to reach the administrative border of the Donetsk Oblast. Today, fierce fighting continues in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka areas.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Vesele, Berestove, Bohorodychne, Tetianivka, Zakitne, Mala Piskunivka, Hryhorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Ivano-Daryivka with mortars, tanks, and rocket artillery. Areas not far from Spirne and Ivano-Daryivka were hit by enemy aircraft.
In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy fired mortars, tanks, tube and rocket artillery near Avdiivka, Opytne, Umanske, Pervomaiske, Staromykhailivka, and New York. With offensive actions, the invaders tried to improve their tactical position in the directions of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka, but traditionally suffered losses and retreated.
Chasiv Yar and Kurakhove were shelled at night.
In Chasiv Yar, the residential sector and the industrial zone came under fire. Two apartment buildings were damaged.
In Kurakhove, the russians hit the parking lot — private cars and municipal vehicles burned down. The extent of the damage is being established.
On August 30, the russians killed 4 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast: 2 in Klishchiivka, 1 in Bakhmut, and 1 in Korsunivka. 2 more people were wounded.
Kramatorsk
Last night was restless in the city. Kramatorsk and Slovyansk suffered enemy attacks again. According to Vadim Lyakh, the head of the Slovyansk city military administration, the hit was made on Torska Street. There were no casualties.
In Kramatorsk, the central part of the city was hit. Twelve five-story buildings were damaged and the alley in Pushkin Park was destroyed. There are wounded. Due to the fact that most residents evacuated early, the number of victims is small.
A regular meeting of the city council session was held in Kramatorsk, during which the deputies adopted a number of socially responsible decisions. In particular, the councils approved the Procedure for providing one-time financial assistance to persons injured as a result of a military emergency during martial law. Material assistance will be paid out of the city budget in the amount of 20,000 hryvnias in case of severe injury, 5,000 hryvnias for other injuries. The degree of severity will be determined on the basis of a certificate from the medical advisory board.
The next decision is the approval of the Procedure for providing and determining the amount of one-time financial aid to the residents of Kramatorsk, whose homes were destroyed due to the military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine. According to the Procedure, victims are residents who are registered in the city of Kramatorsk, whose residential buildings (apartments) were located on the territory of the Kramatorsk Territorial Community and were damaged/destroyed as a result of a military emergency caused by the armed aggression of the russian federation. The amount of assistance from the city budget will be determined by a specially created commission, but its amount cannot exceed 50 thousand hryvnias.
Another important decision of the deputies was the approval of the Program “Community Police Officer – 2022-2024”. The Program is aimed at strengthening the presence of law enforcement agencies, creating conditions to ensure the personal safety of citizens and crime prevention in the territory of starosta districts of the Kramatorsk Territorial Community.
Communal services eliminate the consequences of night shelling.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
The past day in the Pokrovsk community was relatively calm. There were no facts about the victims and the destruction for the past 24 hours.
The Pokrovsk community receives building materials to eliminate the consequences of shelling.
Evacuation continues in Pokrovsk: social benefits are maintained, accommodation is free, and the issue of employment is being worked out.
The coordinator of AUI “Active Community” communicated with internally displaced persons and provided them with the necessary information, hotline phone numbers and useful links.
Bakhmut
In the Bakhmut direction, shelling from artillery of various types was recorded near Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Soledar, Yakovlivka, Zaytseve, Mayorsk and Kodema. With offensive actions, the enemy tried to advance in the directions of Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna and Zaitseve, but was unsuccessful and retreated. The invaders are trying to establish control over the settlement of Kodema, fighting continues.
Volnovaha
The city is under occupation. The russians said that the water supply had been restored, but it had been treacherously damaged by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Today, the village of Novotroitske of the Olhyne community was shelled again, 4 people were injured and 1 was killed. The village has been occupied since March, but the shelling does not stop. A high-rise building opposite the school was hit. Residents understand that there are no positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the direction from which the shelling was fired.
The density and number of shelling has increased.
People are desperate, trying to escape.

Mariupol
Yesterday in Mariupol in the park named after Gurov a very large number of people gathered. People started a real riot. After all, most of them simply cannot get normal food. There is no work in the city and the prices of products are extremely high.
The occupiers are trying to hide their war crimes. Currently, they have invented a “legend” and are in a hurry to repair the theater building, where many people died and show performances on bones. The occupiers want to treat the premises with chlorine in order to block the corpse smell, and then pour concrete over the corpses that remained there, because they could not remove them.
Luhansk Oblast
More than 160 educational institutions of the Luhansk region were destroyed during the russian invasion, 19 of them cannot be restored.
The Teroborona of the Luhansk region received seven trucks seized during the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
The russian military is regrouping units of the 3rd Army Corps in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region with the aim of resuming the offensive in this direction.
During the day, the occupiers shelled Orihiv, Gulyaipole, Olgivske, Novodanilivka, Nesteryanka, Mala Tokmachka, Shevchenko, Novoandriivka, Malynyvka, Mali Shcherbaki, Chervone, Kamianske, Dorozhnyanka, Novoyakivlivka, Zaliznychne, and Zaporizhzhia.
In particular, the occupiers fired 10-12 artillery shells at the “russia” farm in the Vasyliv district. As a result of the shelling, two workers were injured, and about 1,000 cows died. 11 buildings, a milking hall and a feed shed were destroyed.
Over the course of two weeks, the number of shelling of Orichov increased significantly. More than 140 arrivals were recorded in the city tonight. The shelling lasted about 6 hours. Due to this intensity, the delivery of humanitarian aid has been suspended. Local authorities are urging people to evacuate.
Around 03:00 p.m., the mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) arrived in Zaporizhzhia. The russian military, on the eve of the arrival of the IAEA mission, fired again at Energodar with the aim of provocation. This was announced by the head of the Nikopol district military administration, Yevhen Yevtushenko.
On August 30th, large-scale searches took place in Zaporizhzhia: the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is investigating the possible embezzlement of humanitarian aid by officials from the city council and the regional military administration. During more than 20 searches, substances similar to narcotic drugs, unregistered firearms and a large amount of cash were found on the employees of state bodies.
Kherson Oblast
Skadovsk
In temporarily occupied Kherson, the russians suspended the reception of patients in one of the hospitals. All because wounded and killed russian soldiers were brought to the hospital.
The occupiers are engaged in looting, inspecting homes. People are constantly intimidated and abused. A new batch of military equipment arrived in Skadovsk.
Another russian drone, presumably “Forpost”, was eliminated by the anti-aircraft missile unit of the “South” air command.
Kherson is very restless, people leave the city when the opportunity arises. There are battles for Kherson, explosions are heard. People are exhausted, hiding in shelters, trying to stay together, stocking up on water and food if possible, charging their phones.
A critical situation every day. ATMs and banks do not work in the city. People have nowhere to buy even clothes and shoes. Air raid sirens are constantly sounding, drones and missiles are flying. The occupation authorities are preparing for September 1st.
The coordinator of the Ukrainian Initiative “Active Community” joined volunteering, collected lists of elderly people and updated them with some food products and medicines.
Mykolayiv Oblast
Yesterday afternoon, the enemy shelled the infrastructure of the city. It is known about one dead and two wounded. As a result of the fall of ammunition and their debris, two fires started.
Yesterday, enemy shelling of the territory of Novomykolaivka of the Pervomai community was recorded. As a result, residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged.
Russian shelling of the territory and settlements of the Berezneguvat community continues. During the past day, the surrounding territories of Berezneguvaty, the villages of Vysunsk and Kavkaz were shelled.
On August 30th, approximately at 1:00 p.m., and on August 31st, at around 04:00 a.m., there were shellings of the occupiers outside the village of Chervona Dolyna in the Shirokiv community. As a result of the shelling, there was a fire at the agricultural enterprise. Also, on August 31st, approximately at 06:00 a.m., there was shelling outside the village of Shiroke.
Central regions
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Twice during the night, the russian occupying forces struck Nikopol. They were fired from heavy artillery and “Grad”. A 57-year-old woman was injured. She is in the hospital. 12 high-rise buildings and 14 social infrastructure objects were damaged. These are pharmacies, shops, a college, a children’s and youth sports school, a cultural and sports complex, and dentistry.
Myrivsk community was also targeted twice.
4 tons of watermelons were collected in the Magdalinivska community at the “Victory Gardens” site. In order to raise funds for the army, they also organized a “striped” campaign. Everyone could take a watermelon for free. And thank by donating to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a special box. In total, people collected almost 9 thousand hryvnias.
In Dnipro, training was held for representatives of regional and local authorities, rescuers, and security forces. They were told how to organize the evacuation of people in the event of an accident at the nuclear power plant. More than 150 participants joined the exercises. 15 units of equipment were used.
In Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Pavlograd, 3 supporters of russia, who supported the actions of the occupiers on social networks, were notified of suspicion.
Kirovohrad Oblast
In the community, air-raid warning signals sounded, there was a threat of a rocket attack on Kropyvnytskyi. Currently, the situation is calm and under control.
On August 31st, in Znamyanka of Kropyvnytskyi district and the village of Kamburliyivka of Onufriivska community of Oleksandriy district, the soldiers who died in Donbas – Oleksiy Boldyrev and Anatoliya Popov – were taken to the last place.
The head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Andrii Raykovych, said that a team of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, led by Viktor Lyashko, is working in the region. The leadership of the Ministry and the National Health Service visited a number of leading medical institutions. They also presented one of the five specialized “Medicine Catastrophe” buses designed for the transportation of seriously ill patients. This is a gift to Ukraine from Norway. The transport is equipped with the necessary equipment and can support all vital functions of patients for 48 hours.
Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vinnichenko entered into a partnership with two more communities of Kirovohrad Oblast – Priyutivska and Pantaivska. The communities plan to “order” the specialists they need from the university. In turn, they will invest in the education of such students. The coordinator of the Ukrainian Initiative “Active Community” worked as a volunteer at the Humanitarian Center for Internally Displaced Persons (forming packages with grocery sets and hygiene items, sorting clothes).
Poltava Oblast
Poltava Region lost two soldiers in the war. Oleg Prutskov died in battle. The fighter was from Kremenchuk.
Serhiy Kobziy died during an enemy rocket fire in the village of Desna. The deceased hero will be buried in the village of Yaresky of the Shisha community on September 1st.
Deputies of the Poltava City Council plan to address the ban on the moscow Patriarchate on the territory of Ukraine.
Communal educational institutions in Poltava received charitable assistance from the International Committee of the Red Cross. In particular, 10 refrigerators, 10 washing machines, 23 microwave ovens, 26 irons and 30 kettles, and 1,000 sets of bed linen were given to schools and kindergartens where internally displaced persons live.
Two trucks of humanitarian aid from the public organization “AVSI – People for Development” arrived at the Poltava humanitarian headquarters. The organization handed over 3,000 food kits to internally displaced persons living in Poltava.
The 8-year-old son of the deceased resident of Poltava, national guard Yuri Ishchev collects funds for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by setting up a checkpoint together with friends.
38-year-old Yuriy Ishchev became a volunteer back in 2015. In February of this year, he went to defend Ukraine for the second time. A National Guardsman died in close combat with russian occupiers near the village of Krynychne.
The Poltava AG team held another meeting on learning and improving the Ukrainian language “Ukrainian Above All!” in an online format. Coordinator Lilia Garbuzyuk implemented this initiative in April 2022.
