The capital is improving the system of notifying the population about emergency situations. Work on this began even before russia’s full-scale invasion. The system was modeled after systems operating in the USA, Germany and Poland. The first units of the reconstructed system – 15 warning points – have already been tested in the Desnianskyi district of the capital. In two weeks, 12 more will be added. In total, it is planned to install 47 warning points in the Desnianskyi district. The total number of such points to be installed in Kyiv is 630. The new system can operate for about a week without power supply, using its backup equipment. Therefore, even in conditions of disconnection of all telecom operators, this system will continue to work, because it will be managed autonomously with the use of artificial intelligence.
