Northern oblasts
Kyiv

Today in Kyiv, activists restored the Crimean Tatar flag on sloping slabs near the Dnipro River. They painted it on an area of 1,340 square meters and spent more than 150 kilograms of paint.

A mobile dentistry was operating in the modular town in Horenka. Residents of the town received free dental services from qualified specialists. The project was implemented by the Ihor Chernenko Charitable Foundation in cooperation with the dentistry and with the support of European partners.
Scouts of the Bucha community created a youth space in Rokytne. Now the youth of Rokytne have a place to hold their events and meetings to develop the community’s youth environment and informal communication.
The Bucha Public Library hosted an art therapy class for children with disabilities and those raised without parents. The children sculpted with plasticine and polymer materials.
During the meeting, psychologists also communicated with the participants. The organizers plan to involve rehabilitation therapists in the next meeting. The Art Saturdays are implemented with the support of international partners.
Zhytomyr Oblast
Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Eastern Group of Forces, presented state awards to the soldiers of the 95th Detached Airborne Assault Brigade, who distinguished themselves during the defense of the country against the russian invaders.
“The Strong of Ukraine” veterans’ competition started in Zhytomyr. This is a comprehensive inclusive patriotic event for veterans. It is organized by the NGO “Strongmen Federation of Ukraine” to engage veterans who have been injured in the war, as well as their families in sports.
Chernihiv Oblast
On the morning of August 6, russians shelled the Snovsk community. Border guards recorded 12 explosions, probably from a 120-mm mortar, in the direction of the village of Khrinivka.
Sumy Oblast
During the day on August 5, the russian army shelled 7 communities in the Sumy Oblast, with more than 100 explosions recorded. A civilian was killed as a result of russian military strikes. Some damage was also done to buildings.
During the night and in the morning of August 6, the russian military carried out 19 attacks on six settlements in the Sumy Oblast.
Eastern regions
Kharkiv Oblast
The russian army dropped an aerial bomb on the blood transfusion center in the Kupiansk community. Two people were killed and four wounded as a result of an airstrike on a non-residential building in Kruhlyakivka, Kupiansk Raion, in the evening of August 5.
A 55-year-old man was wounded in the shelling of Kupiansk on August 5. The shelling by russia in the Kharkiv Oblast also damaged a number of private houses, a meat processing plant, and a quail farm.
Today, the russian federation attacked the Kholodnohirskyi Raion of Kharkiv with S-300 missiles.
A 65-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman were wounded as a result of shelling in the village of Putnykove, Kupiansk Raion, on the morning of August 6. They refused hospitalization. The shelling damaged a private house.
Donetsk Oblast
Over the past day, the russian army bombarded 11 towns and villages in the Donetsk Oblast.
On August 5, two people were killed in Torsk and New York, and two more were wounded as a result of shelling by the russian army in the Donetsk Oblast.
Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,644 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,932. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
In the Lysychansk sector, one person was killed in Torske of the Lyman community. In Siversk, 2 houses were destroyed and 3 more damaged.
Patrol policemen came under enemy fire in Kostiantynivka while performing their duties. The military were nearby and were also under fire. One of the soldiers was wounded. The patrol officers provided him with first aid and took him to the hospital.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
The enemy shelled the Marganets community with artillery. People were not injured.

For a year now, the dog Koks from Dnipro has been raising funds for cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine on his social networks. The owner of the dog, Hanna Teryianik, says that in 2019 she decided to write a children’s book about Koks, after which the dog became famous on social networks. On September 6, an action in support of prisoners of war took place in Kpopyvnytskyi on Heroes’ Maidan Square. About a hundred relatives of the defenders of Mariupol, who have been in russian captivity for the second year, gathered in the city center. People held in their hands the photographs of the missing soldiers and the flags of the units in which they served. The photo exhibition “They are still in captivity” was also presented on the square. The goal is to draw attention to the topic of the liberation of Ukrainian soldiers from russian captivity.
Poltava Oblast
The family of the deceased volunteer soldier Andrii Polevyk from the Poltava Oblast received his Order “For Courage”. The defender with the call sign “Partyzan” has been fighting for Ukraine since August 2014. He was awarded with honors and medals during his lifetime. Last year in June, his life was cut short in a battle in the Donetsk Oblast.
The soldier Yevhen Strutskyi is asked to be awarded the posthumous title of Hero of Ukraine. The defender was born in the village of Mali Sorochyntsi, the Myrhorod community. In peaceful life, he was engaged in kettlebell sports. He defended the country in the Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. In April of this year, Yevhen was wounded by a sniper. In the hospital, doctors fought for his life for 3 months, but the 31-year-old soldier died. The petition for the award was created by the wife of the fallen defender.
The next aid was handed over to one of the units of the marines. This is a quadrocopter and 38 portable radio stations (10 of them are car radios) worth UAH 1.8 million. The equipment was sent from the regional material reserve.
Cherkasy Oblast
In the Cherkasy Oblast, air defense shot down a russian missile at night. It passed without casualties or damage. Debris of the missile fell into the water.
Vinnytsia Oblast
On the night of August 6, air defense successfully shot down enemy air targets in the sky over the Vinnytsia Oblast.
Western Oblasts
Rivne Oblast
Roofs and windows of six private houses were damaged at night during the work of the air defense in the south of the Rivne Oblast. Restoration work is currently underway.
Lviv Oblast

The enemy attacked Khmelnytskyi three times since yesterday evening. A series of explosions was recorded in the Starokostiantynivka and Khmelnytskyi communities. Most of the missiles were shot down by air defense.
In the Starokostiantynivka community, the blast wave damaged the roof, doors and windows of several private residential buildings. Windows were broken in one of the communal cultural institutions, in the premises of the bus station and in a commercial premises.
In addition, as a result of the enemy attack, a fire broke out in the corn waste warehouse on the territory of the elevator in the Starokostiantynivka community. The warehouse fire was extinguished on an area of 1,400 square meters. An employee of the facility was injured as a result of the explosion.
Kamianets-Podilskyi
The Kamianets-Podilskyi community handed ober aid to the Kherson Oblast. In particular, launchers for military engineers were delivered from abroad to maintain the combat readiness of military equipment. Medicines were also delivered tj the Kherson Oblast. Yesterday, one of the military units received a car purchased with funds from the budget.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
Deputy commander of the second Taras Hammer rifle battalion of the 67th separate mechanized brigade, Petro Uhrin from the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, received the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi III degree.
Zakarpattia Oblast
36 children of soldiers and law enforcement officers from the Zakarpattia Oblast, who protect Ukraine from russian aggression, will rest in Slovakia. The vacation for the children of military personnel and law enforcement officers was organized by the Slovak side within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Zakarpattia Oblast Council and the Priashiv Region [Prešov Region].
