Northern oblasts
Kyiv
The Kyiv City Council will vote to allocate additional funds to pay Kyiv residents who will be mobilized to the Armed Forces starting in December. This will be a one-time payment in the amount of 30 thousand hryvnias.
Ukraine’s educational institutions will have police protection, alarm systems and metal detectors. The relevant Concept of Security of Educational Institutions has already been approved.
Kyiv has launched a project called “Streetcode” that honors the memory of prominent personalities. It tells Kyiv residents about the people in whose honor streets and squares are named. Currently, there are already 25 such portraits on the streets of the city. In addition to a portrait and a short biography, the information plates have a QR code that can be used to go to the project’s web page.
Kyiv Oblast
Explosions were heard in the Bila Tserkva Raion today. Scheduled works were carried out on the territory of the Olshanytsia granite deposit. They are related to technological processes.
The opening ceremony of the 2nd stage of Hansen’s Town took place in Tarasivka. These are homes for IDPs. Over the course of two days, 80 families, including about 100 children, received the keys to their apartments. By the end of December, another 67 families will receive housing.
Zhytomyr Oblast
In the villages of Hrezlia and Nova Radcha in the Narodychy community, the military restored bridges across the Hrezlia and Medvedka rivers. These bridges were blown up in 2022 by the russian military.
The flag of Ukraine from Zhytomyr’s Cathedral Square, which was damaged by the wind, was handed over to the daughter of a soldier from one of Zhytomyr’s brigades. In the future, the flag will be used to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in different countries.
Fourth-grade students of Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 21 congratulated the military on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the children recorded a video greeting for the soldiers entitled: “Thank you. We believe. We will win”.
Chernihiv Oblast
Over the past day, russian troops fired mortars and unguided aerial missiles at the border villages of the Chernihiv Oblast. Twenty-one explosions were recorded.
Sumy Oblast
During the day, the russian army shelled 9 communities in the Sumy Oblast, with more than 100 explosions recorded. Two people were wounded in the Seredyna-Buda community.
On December 6, in the Shostka Raion, rescuers twice came under hostile shelling while extinguishing the fire caused by a russian strike.
At night, the russian army shelled two communities in the Sumy Oblast, causing damages in the Krasnopillia and Seredyna-Buda communities. In Yunakivka, two private households were destroyed.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
More than 21 cities, towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast were shelled by russian federation on December 6 in the Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, Izium, and Kupiansk raions.
In the morning of December 6, Russians shelled the village of Podoly in the Kupiansk Raion. A 49-year-old and a 58-year-old women sustained shrapnel wounds, the latter was hospitalized. Also, a private house was damaged.
In the afternoon, Kupiansk was shelled, the facade of the administration building was damaged.
In the village of Kozacha Lopan, private houses burned down after being hit by guided aerial bombs. The buildings of an enterprise and a railway station were damaged.
Kurylivka, Kupiansk Raion, was hit four times, private houses were damaged, no one was wounded.
In the area of Synkivka in the Kupiansk sector, the russian army carried out an air strike and launched seven assaults during the day. All attacks were repulsed by the Defense Forces.
Donetsk Oblast
Over the past day, 4 residents of the Donetsk Oblast were injured by russian weapons.
Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,787 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 4,373. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
On December 6, the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian troops repelled 70 russian attacks in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Shakhtarsk, and Maryinka sectors.
On December 6, the russian army lost 83 pieces of equipment and 465 soldiers in the Bakhmut and Lyman-Kupiansk sectors. The russian military continues to use kamikaze drones, artillery, and mortars to bombard the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
Verkhniokamianske and Pereizne were fired upon in the Lysychansk direction in the Zvanivka community. Torske, Zarichne and Yampil were fired in the Lyman Raion.
The village head of Torske in the Lyman community was informed of the suspicion of collaborationism. The man is suspected of collaborating with the occupiers since June 2022. Before the occupation of the village, he worked as a security guard at a children’s recreation camp. Now he is hiding in the occupied territory. He was declared wanted.
At the ReBuild Ukraine forum in Warsaw, Kramatorsk city administration presented eight reconstruction projects of Kramatorsk to potential investors. Three houses and one school were destroyed after shelling by the russian occupiers. The city authorities seek to restore them at the expense of international investors. There are also plans to renovate two hospitals and build a kindergarten.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
On December 6, the russian military shelled Avdiivka from aircraft and tanks, and the S-300 missile was directed at Andriivka. Nelipivka came under artillery fire. russian troops attacked Siversk with Grad MLRS, shells hit an apartment building.
Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka and Katerynivka were shelled in the Marinka community. In the Ocheretyne community. The Soloviovo neighborhood is under fire. In the Kurakhove community there are Kurakhove, Trudove and Dalne in the affected area.
Selydove Central City Hospital became operational after the russian shelling on November 21. Dozens of pieces of equipment were destroyed in the medical facility, in particular, X-ray and ultrasound machines.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

Luhansk Oblast
The special training center “Warrior” of the russian federation will be opened in Luhansk. Teenagers will be taught the basics of shooting, work with drones, means of communication and electronic warfare. From the age of 16 they will be prepared for mobilization.
Southern oblasts
Mykolaiv Oblast
Three russian drones of the “Shahed-136/131” type were shot down in the Mykolaiv Oblast on the night of December 7. The russian military also struck the water area of the city of Ochakiv and the Ochakiv community.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
There were 112 strikes on 22 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Civilians were not injured.
Nine reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities.

Odesa Oblast

The russians targeted the Danube port infrastructure: a warehouse, an elevator, and trucks were damaged. The driver of one of the vans died. A fire broke out on the spot. It was extinguished.
Air defense forces destroyed 11 UAVs during a night attack on the Odesa Oblast.
Kherson Oblast
The army of the russian federation shelled the Kherson Oblast 88 times in the past day. It hit residential areas, aimed at the buildings of the pumping station in the Beryslav Raion. There are no casualties or injuries.
The russian army attacked Tiahynka in the Kherson Oblast, four people were injured. One person has serious injuries. The condition of the others is considered to be of moderate severity.
As a result of shelling in Kherson, the ammonia supply route between the compressor and refrigeration units at the food industry enterprise was damaged. The leak was insignificant, the situation is under control. There is no threat to the city residents.
Law enforcement officers detained a resident of Kherson who was helping the russian military. He “provided” them with boats and speed boats, taking them from the Khersons. After the deoccupation, he fled to his relatives in the Mykolaiv Oblast. So far, he has been informed of suspicion of complicity with the russian federation. He can be imprisoned for 12 years.
Central oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
The russian army hit Nikopol with heavy artillery on the night of December 7. It passed without casualties or injuries. No shelling was recorded in the rest of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
Volunteers from Dnipro have created an academy and teach civilians and military to fly FPV drones. Fighter pilots are trained for two weeks. Since September 2023, almost 100 cadets have graduated. Some of them are fighting in the Bakhmut, Vuhledar and Kherson directions.
Kirovohrad Oblast
In Kropyvnytskyi, a charity fair from agricultural producers “Everything will be a palyanytsia [ritual bread]” took place. Representatives of 39 communities presented their agricultural products. A car has already been purchased with the money received at the event. He will reinforce the anti-terrorist battalion.
Poltava Oblast
Six pyrotechnicians from the Poltava Oblast are learning to use a machine for demining territories. The Republic of Azerbaijan handed over the mechanism to the oblast administration of State Emergency Service.
In Poltava, volunteers of the “Magura Poltava” charitable foundation collected and handed over holiday packages and things to military personnel undergoing treatment in the hospital. It was made to congratulate the defenders on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Western Oblasts
Volyn Oblast
In the Volyn Oblast, 55 wagons of wood are being prepared for shipment for the needs of the Armed Forces. This is the largest batch since the beginning of the year from the Polish Forestry. The Ministry of Defense ordered more than three thousand cubic meters of wood.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

With the funds of international partners from the German partner city of Esslingen-on-Neckar, the inclusive resource center of our community received boxes for conducting sand therapy in working with children with special educational needs.
Chernivtsi Oblast
The Alley of Glory of fallen heroes was opened in Kitsman. 32 commemorative photos of residents and natives of the community who gave their lives for Ukraine since 2014 were installed here.
Volunteers from Hlyboka delivered aid to soldiers defending Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia direction. They entertained the defenders with homemade pastries, cabbage rolls, and meat products.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
In the Deliatyn Lyceum No. 1 in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, a memorial plaque was installed to Andrii Khovanskyi, the fallen commander of the 68th platoon of the Oleksa Dovbush Hunter Brigade.

The city of Uzhhorod received the “People’s Community” award from the Association of Cities of Ukraine and its Chamber of Large Cities. This distinction is associated with the largest number of accepted internally displaced persons. The Uzhhorod community with a population of 115,000 inhabitants has accepted 27,500 people from the front-line and de-occupied territories, which is almost 24% of the population, since February 2022.
