Northern Oblasts
Kyiv
This year, additional shelters are planned to be installed in 437 educational institutions in Kyiv. As of August 1 of the current year, work has been completed in 105. There are 1,056 communally owned educational institutions in Kyiv.
Kyiv Oblast

Zhytomyr Oblast
The mother of the fallen Hero Serhiy Mosiychuk from the village of Lopatychi in the Olevsk raion added 50 thousand hryvnias to the fundraiser to help servicemen purchase a Starlink and a generator.

In Chernihiv Oblast, a 300-meter bridge across the Desna River is being restored, which will provide transport connections between the Koryukiv raion and the central part of the Oblast. The bridge was destroyed in March 2022.
Sumy Oblast
At night and in the morning, the russian military shelled the border areas of Sumy Oblast four times, 28 explosions were recorded. Khotynsk, Krasnopilsk, Znob-Novgorodsk and Seredino-Budsk communities were under fire from russian territory. Previously – without victims and destruction.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
The russian army shelled the village of Kindrashivka in the Kharkiv Oblast – two people were injured. They have blast injuries and cuts. The type of weapon from which the village was fired upon is being established.
Around midnight, the russian dropped a FAB-250 aerial bomb on Kupyansk, the city council was damaged. The russians shelled the city in the morning, the house was damaged. There was also a fire in the garage near the five-story building, it was extinguished.
Mandatory evacuation has been announced in 37 settlements of Kharkiv Oblast.
In the subway, they are equipping rooms for schoolchildren to study — they are working on air recovery systems, lighting, and toilets. It is planned that the children will study in the subway three or four times a week in shifts.
Donetsk Oblast
Over the past day, the russian army shelled 16 towns and villages of Donetsk Oblast.
On August 9, the russians killed 3 residents of Donetsk Oblast : 2 in Zarichne and 1 in Chasiv Yar. Another 4 people in the region were injured during the day.
Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,654 civilians of Donetsk Oblast , wounded another 3,985. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown for sure.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion
In Mykolaivka, Kostyantynivska community, 1 person was wounded as a result of shelling by the russian army.
In the Lysychansk direction, 2 people died in Zarichne of the Lymansk community. A house in Zvanivka and a house in Siversk were damaged.
At the Kramatorsk Communal Motor Vehicle Enterprise 052810, the territory was creatively arranged: an artistic painting was performed on the walls of the fence, and the most worthy employees of the enterprise became its heroes. Local artist Nataliya Popova worked on creating a picture on the fence.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion
In the Donetsk direction, 1 person was injured in Kurakhivka. Isolated shelling of Avdiyivka and Krasnohorivka was recorded.
In Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, most boiler houses are already ready for the heating season and equipped with generators in case of a blackout.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion
In the Horlivka direction in the Chasiv Yar community, 1 person died, 2 houses and 2 industrial buildings were damaged.
Dry grass on a field of 4 hectares was burned by shelling in the Toretsk community.
Volnovakha and Volnovakha raion
In the Volnovakha direction, the russians shelled Bogoyavlenka three times with artillery and Vugledar 23 times.
Mariupol
The leader of the so-called «DPR» Pushylin issued a resolution in which changes were made regarding property compensation. Now payments are promised only to citizens of russia. So Mariupol residents are forced to get russian passports.
Luhansk Oblast
10 boys and girls from the Girske community of Luhansk Oblast went on a 21-day vacation to the «Carpathian Stars» children’s institution. Five meals a day, group activities, sports activities, water procedures, excursions, educational, entertainment and cultural activities are provided for them. This became possible thanks to cooperation with the territorial communities of western Ukraine.
Southern Oblasts
Mykolayiv Oblast
Yesterday afternoon, russian troops attacked the Ochakiv community, and at night – Kutsurub. There were no injuries.
In Mykolayiv, entrepreneurs were checked for compliance with the law on the functioning of the state language in the sphere of services and trade. At the beginning of August, 248 raids were carried out.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
The russian army struck a residential quarter of Zaporizhzhia with Kh-35 missiles. Three people died: a 43-year-old man and two women aged 19 and 21, and nine people, including an 11-month-old child, were injured.
As a result of the attack of the russian army on Zaporizhzhia, the Church of the Holy Supreme Apostles Peter and Paul was destroyed. 15 high-rise buildings were destroyed – applications for broken windows and damaged balconies were received for more than 400 apartments.
As a result of shelling by the russian military in the city of Gulyaipole, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a family was injured: two women, 55 and 66 years old, and two men, 39 and 68 years old. All people were promptly taken to a medical facility.
At night, Zaporizhzhia NPP lost power from the main external power transmission line, it was switched to the only available backup.
Odesa Oblast
A russian reconnaissance drone was recorded in the south of Odesa.
The complete restoration of the destroyed buildings in Odesa after the attack of the russian federation in July requires a lot of money, which is not fully available in the budget today. In addition, objects in the UNESCO zone must receive approval for restoration.
24 generators of 5 kW, 10 kW and 15 kW power will be distributed among the communities of Odesa for educational institutions and critical infrastructure. They were received from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Kherson Oblast
Yesterday, russian air forces struck Kozatske and attacked more than 25 settlements with artillery. In total, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 65 times.
In the morning, the russian army shelled the surroundings and the center of Mykhailivka Novoaleksandrivka community. As a result of the attack, an Ukrposhta car was damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.
Russian troops also shelled Beryslav. A private house was on fire. Rescuers extinguished the fire on an area of 40 square meters. There are no injuries or deaths.
The russian army fired artillery at Bilozerka in the Kherson Oblast, hitting people receiving humanitarian aid. Six residents were injured, they were hospitalized.
In the temporarily occupied Pervomayivka in the Kherson Oblast, the russian military is urgently setting up a prison in the building of the food base. The territory around the construction is guarded by military police officers.
On the left bank of the Kherson Oblast, despite the pressure of the russian army on people, they reluctantly accept russian passports. Therefore, in future mock elections, residents were allowed to vote with any document.
Centralized water supply was restored in Pervomaiske of the Bilozerka community. A diesel generator provided by benefactors was started in the village. People will have drinking water even in the face of possible power outages.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
6 private houses, a garage, and a car were damaged as a result of shelling in Nikopol on the night of August 10. A gas pipeline was also damaged. The russian army shelled the Myrivka, Marhanets, and Chervonohryhorivka communities with heavy artillery. No one was killed or injured.
Some residents of the villages of Maryanske, Hrushivka, and Ust-Kamianka in Kryvyi Rih Raion have a centralized water supply, which was absent after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
Poltava Oblast
The families of four fallen soldiers of the 18th separate army aviation brigade request to be awarded the title of Heroes of Ukraine. Kostyantyn Zebnitskyi, Serhii Bondarenko, Ihor Turevych, and Ihor Pazych defended Ukraine as part of Mi-8 crews based in Poltava. They took part in air battles near Chornobaivka and in Mykolaiv Oblast. On March 6 last year, the defenders were killed in one day near Arkhangelsk, Mykolaiv Oblast.
Representatives of the Volunteer Center “ZMIST” will be collecting fabric for camouflage nets for the military at the City Picnic. The event will also raise funds for a drone for rescuers in Kharkiv Oblast.
Cherkasy Oblast
The President has awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to Rostyslav Lazarenko from Uman. Rostyslav Lazarenko is a lieutenant colonel, and an attack pilot with more than 300 combat missions. He was also awarded the Order of the Golden Star.
In Ivanivka, Kherson Oblast, 32 houses have already been restored by Cherkasy residents, and work is underway on 26 more. The reconstruction continues as part of the “Side by Side” project.

Rivne Oblast

Halyna Soroka, editor-in-chief of the “Nash Krai” newspaper, won the Taras Matviyiv journalism competition. She dedicated her victory to Ukrainian soldiers and decided to donate the prize to the needs of the Armed Forces.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Chernivtsi Oblast

The doctors of the Chernivtsi Regional Clinical Hospital donated blood. The donor day was organized jointly with the blood service center and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
Chernivtsi Oblast will receive almost UAH 29 million in state subventions to repair three shelters. The decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The funds will be used to repair facilities in Chernivtsi, Novoselytsia, and Kruhlyk village of the Khotyn community.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
Machine gunner of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians Ivan Hrebeniuk from Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast received an honorary badge “Golden Cross” from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
Ternopil Oblast
Reconstruction of the Pantheon of Heroes has begun in Ternopil. For this purpose, 0.83 hectares of land were allocated at the Mykulynets cemetery. UAH 14 million was allocated from the city budget.
