Kyiv

Rescuers continue to dismantle the emergency structures of high-rise buildings in the Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi districts of the capital. The units will work around the clock.

As a result of yesterday’s russian missile attack in the Kyiv Oblast, 4 people were injured: one victim was hospitalized in an oblast hospital. One person was poisoned by combustion products, two more refused hospitalization. In the communities of the Kyiv Oblast, 3 high-rise buildings, private houses and farm buildings, 21 cars, and a cafe building were damaged. Missile fragments were found near two educational institutions.

The restoration of houses in Irpen and Horenka was inspected by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi together with a delegation of foreign representatives. In particular, he assured that the UN will continue to support the Irpin community in its reconstruction.

The fleet of the Irpin Central City Hospital was replenished with a new “ambulance” carriage. German benefactors of the “Interhelp” society handed over the ambulance with the necessary equipment to the city.

Kharkiv Oblast

Yesterday, the russian troops hit the Kyiv district of Kharkiv for the third time in a day. Three hits were recorded in the city center, initially by S-300 missiles. A scientific institution and residential infrastructure were damaged.

The number of people killed during missile attacks on Kharkiv on January 23 increased to 10 people – the bodies of a woman and a man were recovered from the rubble. They lived on the first floor with two dachshunds, whose bodies were also unblocked. Everyone usually hid in the corridor from russian shelling.

In addition to the center of Kharkiv, there were hits in Kholodnohirskyi district. Communal workers have been eliminating the consequences of the russian missile attack in the evening since the morning. 

Donetsk Oblast

On January 23, russian troops shelled nine settlements in Donetsk Oblast with S-300, Hurricanes, Grads and artillery. There are no dead or injured, houses are damaged. 

Ukrainian soldiers repelled 41 Russian attacks in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka directions during January 23. The russian military carried out the most attacks in the Maryinka and Avdiyivka directions.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

On the morning of January 24, the russian army struck Avdiyivka with artillery and “Grad”.

Russian invaders fired two S-300 rockets at the village of Veselyi Hay, damaging three private homes.

The russian army covered Tsukurin with “Hurricanes”, a private house was damaged.

A resident of Myrnograd, Donetsk Oblast, is suspected of preparing a series of rocket and artillery strikes on the positions of the Defense Forces near Avdiyivka. The occupiers were interested in HIMARS, Leopard tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. He faces life imprisonment.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

In the past day, the russhists made 170 strikes on 25 settlements – without any casualties. 18 reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities.

Four attacks by the russian military to the south of Krasne, to the west of Verbove and Robotyne were repulsed by the Defense Forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

A former law enforcement officer was sentenced to 15 years in prison for collaboration. According to the case file, the man voluntarily went to cooperate with russia and headed a pseudo-tax authority in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk.

Odesa Oblast

Yesterday, the russian air force launched two Kh-31P cruise missiles in the direction of Odesa, they lost their combat capability in the air. There is no destruction or damage.

Kherson Oblast

Over the past day, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 101 times. It hit residential neighborhoods, hit a pre-school educational institution and the territory of a factory in Beryslav. Four people died, six were injured.

The settlements of Beryslav and Kherson raions were subjected to russian attacks from artillery, rocket launchers, mortars, tanks, aviation and drones. Destroyed high-rise apartments, private houses, damaged medical and educational institutions, gas stations, garages, cars and shops. Five people died, among the injured were workers of emergency services.

As a result of the russian shelling of the central part of Kherson, a woman was injured. She has multiple shrapnel injuries to her leg.

Today, the russian army shelled the Dnipro district of Kherson. Wounded man.

This morning, russian aircraft struck Novoberislav in the Kherson Oblast. Spouses were injured.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Russian troops shelled Nikopol Raion three times with artillery during the night. They hit the district center, Marhanets, and the Marhanets community. Educational and medical institutions were damaged. 4 five-story buildings and 11 private houses were damaged. 3 outbuildings, cars, power lines, and a gas pipeline were damaged. No one was killed or injured. 

On January 23, a woman evacuated last year from occupied Zolote, Luhansk Oblast, died in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovs’k Oblast. She came under fire from the russian army in a city park. The 43-year-old displaced woman is survived by two children.

Six months ago, Pavlohrad mines began hiring women for underground work for the first time, as more than 4,000 miners from the enterprise went to the front. Now there are up to 500 women miners in the mines.

Poltava Oblast

Air defense forces were operating in Poltava Oblast during the air alert. Thus, in the evening of January 23, three UAVs were shot down. One enemy drone went down in the Lubny Raion. There were no injuries or damage.

More than 10,000 residents of Poltava Oblast have received temporary jobs as part of the Army of Recovery project. The unemployed are engaged in community service in 60 communities in the region. These include arranging shelters, weaving protective nets, collecting firewood, eliminating illegal landfills, and doing auxiliary work during the repair of premises for the needs of the Armed Forces.

Vinnytsia Oblast

On January 24, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Hlynsk, Vinnytsia Oblast, in honor of fallen soldier Denys Polishchuk. Students, teachers, relatives, and government officials gathered in the lyceum yard to honor the soldier’s memory.

Soldier Oleh Duzhenkyi from the village of Myhalivtsi in the Bar community received the Presidential Cross of Military Merit award. In 2022, he returned from England to defend Ukraine.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

The President of Ukraine posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, III degree, to a serviceman Volodymyr Piaza, a resident of the village of Striletsky Kut, Mamayiv territorial community.

A regular meeting of the Regional Council for Internally Displaced Persons at the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration was held. During the event, the need to approve the Strategic Plan of the Council on IDPs at the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration and the format of cooperation with the relevant councils established at the village, town, and city councils of the region were discussed.

More than 4 tons of humanitarian aid was delivered by volunteers from the Perebykiv Starosta District to the defenders fighting in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk sectors. It includes more than 1,500 cans of canned meat and fish, vegetables, fruits, etc. At the request of the military, they also purchased clothes and other necessary items.

Zakarpattia Oblast

Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmyhal met with his Slovak counterpart Fico in Uzhhorod. Following the meeting, the prime ministers of Slovakia and Ukraine signed a joint statement that will strengthen bilateral relations and support for European initiatives.
