Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, arrived in Kyiv. He has scheduled meetings with his colleague Dmytro Kuleba, Secretary of the National Security Council Oleksii Danilov. Gabrielius Landsbergis will also take part in the signing of a memorandum on cooperation in the implementation of the EU-funded project on the construction of shelters in Ukrainian schools.

In Kyiv, the “Okhmatdyt” hospital received a supply of vaccines against rabies and tetanus. Now, children after receiving fresh wounds and animal bites will be provided with the necessary emergency care, including vaccine prophylaxis.

The Franko Theater handed over 100 drones to the military on the front lines. They were purchased from the box office of the charity performance “The Witch of Konotop”, which took place on December 11. Then the theater managed to collect almost UAH 1.8 million.

In Kyiv, you can donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by handing in russian books for recycling. Waste paper is accepted in Vivat bookstores. For a good deed, they give a discount on the purchase of new books.

Kyiv Oblast

In Bucha, a major repair of the facade of a residential building on Enerhetykiv Street is being completed. The Bucha community is one of the most affected in the Kyiv Oblast. Due to the russian military aggression, 2,678 multi-story and private buildings were damaged or destroyed here. At the moment, in Bucha, the major renovation of a 5-story building with 80 apartments is at the final stage.

In Irpen, it is planned to create a modern youth space. It should ensure a dialogue between students, pupils and active people of the local community. So far, negotiations have already been held with representatives of the UNICEF Children’s Fund and the GoGlobal Educational Foundation.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In the Zhytomyr Oblast, the prosecutor’s office condemned land with a granite deposit, which was leased from russian citizens. The cost of the land is almost UAH 116 million.

As part of a joint project by the public organizations “Ecoclub” and “Ecodiia”, the Zviahel community developed the Program for the Development of Renewable Energy Sources. In one of the local kindergartens, a solar power plant was installed to ensure the functioning of the pool throughout the year, as well as to reduce electricity consumption by 50%.

Chernihiv Oblast

January 24 is the first day in 2024 that passed without explosions: russian troops did not shelled the border of the Chernihiv Oblast.

UAH 120,300 were collected for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the Sosnytsi Gymnasium named after O. Dovzhenko at the school fair. Another UAH 108,700 for the Ukrainian military were collected at the Chornotytsi school of the Sosnytsi community. All the money was transferred to the Sosnytsi volunteer headquarters, which covers the needs of the military.

Sumy Oblast

On January 24, the russian army struck 8 communities in the Sumy Oblast. 56 explosions were recorded.

Tonight, the russian military fired mortars at two communities in the Sumy Oblast.

Kharkiv Oblast

January 25 was declared in Kharkiv as the Day of Mourning for those who died as a result of the russian attack on January 23. 10 people died, and 75 were injured.

More than 15 residential buildings and cars were damaged as a result of missile attacks by russian army on the evening of January 24 in Velyka Rohan near Kharkiv. A 17-year-old teenager and a 60-year-old woman were injured, two more women had an acute reaction to stress. Rescuers put out the fire in two houses and a car.

In the evening, a guided aerial bomb hit a farm in Vilkhuvatka.

Yesterday, russian missiles hit an enterprise in Rozdolne, the Novopokrovsk community, where two warehouses with a total area of 250 square meters caught fire. Covers for notebooks and agricultural fiber were made there.

Also, the russians hit Velyka Rohan and Rozdolne from the territory of the Belgorod region (russia) with S-300 missiles.

In the vicinity of Synkivka, the russians tried to attack six times. The attacks were repulsed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 5 settlements were hit by airstrikes.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the course of a day, the occupation army hit civilian infrastructure in the Donetsk Oblast 15 times. Seven settlements came under fire, two people died, and another 11 were injured.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

On the night of January 25, the russian army fired S-300 missiles at Oleksievo-Druzhkivka, Donetsk Oblast. There was no information about the injured, more than ten houses, an educational institution, and a car were destroyed. 

In the Lyman direction, the russian army accumulated significant forces and during the week stormed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with infantry and heavy equipment.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

Russian troops hit Girnyky with “Iskander”. As a result of shelling on January 24, 43 private houses and two five-story buildings were damaged in the city. 

Luhansk Oblast

Russian troops went on attacks and assaults in all directions of the front in Luhansk region last day, the Defense Forces repelled 39 attacks of the russian army.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolayiv Oblast

On the night of January 25, a russian drone of the “Shahed-131/136” type was shot down in Mykolayiv Oblast. The russian military also attacked the communities of Ochakiv and Kutsurub.

On January 25, 2024, during an air alert, a russian Su-34 fighter jet fired an Kh-59 guided air missile in the Mykolayiv Oblast. Air defense forces destroyed the missile.

In Mykolaiv, deputies agreed to transfer property to the military for over 17.6 million hryvnias. It is about 11 cars, generators and water purification systems with accessories.

In Mykolaiv, they showed a production dedicated to the war with russia. The performance “Against” reflects the eras and events related to the struggle of the Ukrainian people for freedom and independence.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The occupiers attacked 23 peaceful towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast – 124 strikes were recorded. 15 reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities. There were no casualties. 

Odesa Oblast

Six people were injured as a result of russian attacks on Odesa yesterday evening. Air defense forces shot down 10 drones over Odesa Oblast. One of the downed drones hit a partially inhabited high-rise building in Khadzhibeyskyi district, causing a fire. Another affected drone broke through the roof of a two-story residential building in the Primorsky district. Another UAV fell in the same residential area. A warehouse of a furniture factory in the industrial district of Odesa was also hit. There, a man who was riding a bicycle nearby was injured by debris.

The newsletter has all the signs of a purposeful informational and psychological operation. The letters offer cooperation with the russian special services for a reward. Thus, the enemy is once again trying to destabilize the situation inside our country.

The first Odesa family received compensation for the destroyed home under the state program “YeVidnovlennya” [isRecovery]. Her apartment was destroyed by a russian missile on July 23, 2023. To receive compensation, it is necessary to submit an application through Diya, which is considered by the city council commission, calculates the amount of compensation, and the executive committee approves it.

Kherson Oblast

During the day, russian troops shelled Kherson Oblast 99 times. Two educational institutions, a critical infrastructure facility and a warehouse were damaged. One person died, ten were injured. 

Yesterday, the russian army tried seven times to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops on the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Kherson Oblast. But they suffered losses and retreated.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of January 25, the russian army struck Kryvyi Rih with drones. As a result of the hit, one of the enterprises is destroyed. The building was occupied there. Myrivka community and Nikopol were shelled with artillery. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the attack.

On the morning of January 25 in Kryvyi Rih, a man shot an RPG into a high-rise building. As a result of the explosion, several apartments were damaged. The police are looking for the attacker.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 180 thousand refugees have crossed the region. Almost half of them have settled in the region’s communities. In two years, we have managed to employ more than 5,000 Ukrainians who were forced to move from dangerous regions of the country. Almost five hundred have found work in the medical field. Many are employed in agriculture, trade, industry, education and sports.

The head of the Kirovohrad Regional Council was approached by soldiers of the A4845 military unit with a request to help purchase electronic warfare equipment. The defenders’ request was met by the regional council’s executive staff, who raised the necessary 200,000 hryvnias. The same amount was raised by emergency medical workers, which allowed us to deliver not one, but two anti-drone guns to the military.

In Kropyvnytskyi, the TMS Hub project, together with the Borets Sports Club, opened a group for military men and women veterans who have lost limbs or have been injured or traumatized. Such a group from the TMS Hub project has been operating in Kyiv for two years. Now this opportunity has become available in Kropyvnytskyi and Odesa.

Poltava Oblast

In Poltava Oblast, educational courses are held for war veterans and family members of defenders. They also provide counseling on legal, career guidance, and mental health issues. This became possible thanks to the project “Reintegration of War Veterans through the Creation of Educational Opportunities” with the financial support of the German Foreign Office.

Poltava Oblast has received more than UAH 1 million from the UN World Food Program to support school meals. The funding will go to 44 schools in 16 communities. This will reimburse part of the cost of hot meals for students in grades 1-4.

Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

At a meeting of the executive committee, it was decided to transfer 3 Mavic Enterprise quadcopters to the army for a total of UAH 381 thousand, and authorized the purchase of quadcopters, thermal imagers, and air defense equipment at the request of the military for UAH 1.5 million.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Oleh Samoiliuk, a resident of Yarivka village, Khotyn territorial community, and commander of the artillery control company, was awarded a diploma of the military command and the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Steel Cross.

For courage and bravery, Ihor Buzhak, a resident of the village of Burdyug in the Kelmenets community, was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “For Special Merit to the Ukrainian People” and the “Badge of Valor” by the commander of the “Liman” operational and tactical group.

Residents of the Banylivka community purchased an anti-drone device for the 95th Brigade’s air assault battalion. Five drones were also delivered to the defenders.

A psycho-emotional relief room has been opened at the Primary Health Care Center of the Hlyboka Village Council. It will provide psychological assistance to anyone who needs it. The center also created a special space for children. In particular, it was equipped with educational toys, supplies for creativity and recreation. The project was implemented with the support of the Rockada Charitable Foundation and the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine.

Ternopil Oblast

The title of “Best Postage Stamp of Ukraine in 2023” was awarded to the miniature “Eternal Memory!”. The stamp depicts the painting “Sorrow” by the Honored Artist of Ukraine from Ternopil Oblast Oleh Shupliak. 

Zakarpattia Oblast

About 10,000 rehabilitation aids for people with disabilities and combatants received free of charge in Zakarpattia last year. UAH 80 million was allocated for this purpose by the regional branch of the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities.

The regional authorities and the international charitable organization Dorcas Ukraine will cooperate to train facilitators of mental support groups. Training will be held for teachers, social work professionals, employees of children’s services and others. The training sessions will be held within the framework of the ”MHpss” psychosocial support project.
