Kyiv

At night, the enemy attacked the capital with Iranian-made drones. About 15 enemy UAVs were captured and destroyed. The second wave carried out a mass attack with missiles of various types: X-101, X-555, “Kynzhal” [“Dagger”] and “Kalibr”. The launch took place from Tu-95, Su-35, MiG-31K aircraft and ships from the Black Sea. About 20 rockets were recorded within Kyiv. All aerial targets destroyed. A 55-year-old man died as a result of parts of rockets falling into a non-residential building in the Holosiivskiy district. Two more Kyiv residents were injured and hospitalized.

The explosion during the early morning massive missile attack was heard in the Dnipro district of the capital and was broadcast live by the British TV channel Sky News.

Emergency power outages continue in Kyiv due to enemy attacks.

From January 27, 13 more buses, which the city received at the beginning of January as aid from international partners, will enter the capital’s routes. Thanks to such help from the cities of Riga and Tampere, Kyiv improves transport connections and restores the operation of two bus routes.

Kyiv Oblast

As a result of enemy attacks by drones and missiles in the Kyiv Oblast, an energy facility was hit. Objects of civil infrastructure, private and multi-storey buildings in some areas of the region were also damaged. The police received 38 reports of enemy drones flying over during the night drone attack.

Thus, 5 residential buildings and 7 other objects and structures were damaged as a result of the attack. More than 40 cars were also damaged.

Explosive objects were destroyed in Vyshgorod raion today.

The Spanish charitable organization Juntos Por la Vida handed over 100 peasants to Irpin. The stoves have already arrived in the city.

They “sold” citizens, including soldiers, generators and equipment for the needs of the front at reduced prices. The police establish a circle of victims and people who may be involved in the crime. According to this fact, a pre-trial investigation was started. Perpetrators face up to 8 years in prison.

They want to introduce hippotherapy classes for migrant children in Zhytomyr. Currently, such educational and therapeutic horseback riding classes are held for children with disabilities.

Chernihiv Oblast

Today, the russians shelled the border of the Semenivka community. Four hits, probably from a 120 mm mortar, were recorded in the area of the village of Tymonovichi. Also, nine hits, probably from an 80 mm mortar, were reported later.

Last night, the russians also shelled the Semenivka community. Ten hits from a 120-millimeter mortar were recorded in the vicinity of the village of Karpovychi.

Today, the russians shelled the Horodnya community. The military was informed of 30 arrivals, presumably from a 120 mm mortar. As a result of shelling, a private residential building and outbuildings were damaged.

Yesterday in Chernihiv Oblast they said goodbye to four soldiers who died in battles in Donetsk Oblast — Oleksiy Chepiga, Andriy Yarov, Oleksiy Myheichyk and Andriy Kitov.

Today we said goodbye to three more military men: Andriy Ramul, Roman Gulenko and Ivan Tyshchenko.

Chernihiv deputies allocated money for the restoration of the Yatsevo cemetery, which was damaged by russian attacks.

On January 26, the installation of the first bridge was completed near the village of Novy Bilous, near Chernigiv. The bridge structure was handed over to Chernihiv Oblast by partners from the French region of Ile-de-France. It is a metal structure 30 meters long, the road surface is made of wooden flooring. The bridge can support cars weighing up to 18 tons.

Sumy Oblast

During yesterday’s day, the russians made 60 strikes on the border of Sumy Oblast. The communities of Bilopillya, Esman, Glukhiv, and Znob-Novgorodske were shelled. In the Esman community, the russian military fired self-propelled guns, and also fired 7 automatic rounds in the direction of the border. The Bilopillya community was also shelled with artillery. Mortars were fired at Glukhiv and Znob-Novgorodske communities. In all cases, there were no casualties or damage.

At night, there was no shelling from the russian side in Sumy Oblast.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Today, the russian occupiers once again shelled the village of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv raion. There was a hit in a residential building. A 70-year-old woman was injured.

In addition, the enemy shelled Kupyansk and the village of Dvorichna. A private residential building was destroyed in Kupyansk. And two civilians died in Dvorichnaya: a man and a woman. Details about the victims and the scale of the destruction are being clarified.

Yesterday, the enemy continued shelling the border settlements of Kupyansk, Chuguyiv and Kharkiv raions of the Oblast.

At night, the “arrival” of a missile, previously S-300, was recorded in Kupyansk. There were no casualties or damage. The personal car of a National Police employee was destroyed.

During the day in Kupyansk, a residential building, a spare parts store, and a civil industry object were destroyed by artillery shelling.

A private residential building was damaged in the village of Dvorichna, Kupiansk raion.

In Vovchansk, enemy shelling damaged residential buildings, commercial buildings, an educational institution, and a civil industry facility.

Donetsk Oblast

During January 25, the russian army shelled 16 populated areas of Donetsk Oblast from aviation, S-300 air defense systems, Grad, Smerch, artillery, and mortars. There are dead and wounded civilians.

On January 25, the russians killed 1 resident of Donetsk Oblast — in Bakhmut. Another 7 people in Oblast were injured.

In total, since the day of the full-scale war, russian weapons have taken the lives of 1,320 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 2,896 people.

The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

In the east of Pokrovsk raion, Avdiivka came under enemy fire, where during the night there were numerous isolated shellings and one massive artillery shelling, in the morning – shelling from artillery, «Hrads» and air rockets. It was also loud in Vodiane, Pervomaisk, Berdychi, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Maryintsa and Novomykhailivka.

The GEM international food mission in cooperation with the public association «Yakist zhyttia [Quality of life]» delivered two trucks with humanitarian cargo for the residents of the Pokrovsk community. First of all, the aid was distributed among the residents of rural areas.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

In the direction of Bakhmut, twenty-two settlements were damaged by fire, in particular, Ivanivske, Krasnopolivka, Spirne, Bakhmut, Ozaryanivka, New York, Klishchiivka and Kurdyumivka of the Donetsk Oblast.

As a result of another enemy shelling, the hospital building of the Children’s Department of the KNP «Bakhmut Multidisciplinary Hospital for Intensive Treatment» and the roof of the pathology department were damaged.

Today, as a result of enemy shelling, one of the Bakhmut schools was damaged. 

The border guards pushed back the invaders from their positions near Bakhmut. The day before, our fighters eliminated several infantry groups of the russian occupation troops. And yesterday, one of the border units managed to dislodge the occupiers from their positions. The forward movement of Ukrainian fighters was supported by the fire of the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the mortar fire of the State Border Service of Ukraine. The enemy was forced to retreat, his losses are being ascertained.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

In the Lyman direction, the enemy shelled the positions of our troops in the areas of the settlements of Makiivka, Ploshanka, Chervopopivka, and Nevske in the Luhansk Oblast, and in the Veryginske Forestry and Yampolivka in Donetsk Oblast.

On the night of January 26, the russian army shelled Slavyansk. Several residential buildings were damaged by the blast wave. There are no dead or injured among the city residents. 

Mariupol

The russians have not been able to solve the most necessary problem – providing people with food and creating conditions for its preparation. So the russian occupiers make handouts and distribute hot porridge. And then they talk about «improving life».

Southern Oblasts

Odesa Oblast

During the massive missile strike, the enemy targeted critical infrastructure facilities. Several such facilities in the Odesa Oblast and other Oblasts were affected, so there are currently significant problems with electricity supply.

Defense forces destroyed three out of 26 enemy air and sea-based missiles over Odesa.

The Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic visited Odessa

Mrs. Katrin Kolonna and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba. Deputy Mayor Serhiy Tetyukhin thanked France for its support to Ukraine and, in particular, to Odesa, whose historical center was included in the Main List of UNESCO World Heritage Sites during the UNESCO session.

Two powerful generators of 150 and 170 kW were delivered to the municipal enterprise «Teplopostachiannia mista Odesy [Heat supply of the city of Odesa]» from the Lithuanian benefactors Rotary International Apygarda.

Devices capable of supporting the operation of boiler houses in periods of absence of centralized power supply are urgently needed.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Tonight, invaders from the S-300 air defense system launched a missile strike on a critical infrastructure facility in the Zaporizhzhia raion. It is known in advance that 3 people died, 7 more were injured. Technical equipment and buildings were destroyed. At around 10:00 a.m., during the investigation and search and rescue operation at the scene, the infrastructure object was again shelled by the enemy. Data on the victims are being clarified.

The missile strike also claimed human life in Zaporizhzhia. The consequences of the hit were documented by the police. The occupiers hit the city at night with a precision-guided Kh-59 missile on one of the residential quarters of the Oblast center. As a result of the hit, a private house was completely destroyed. In the surrounding houses, windows were blown out, facades were damaged. Debris from the rocket was scattered throughout the territory of the private sector. Rescuers of the State Emergency Service found the body of a dead woman while clearing the debris.

In the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a traitor was discovered in the ranks of the Zaporizhzhia SSU, he turned out to be a lieutenant colonel. He covertly carried out the collection of information collected in the process of operational and investigative activities, as well as data constituting a state secret, in particular, regarding the schemes of roadblocks in the Oblast and other secret information. Using a mobile phone, he took photos of documents, which he later transmitted to representatives of the aggressor country using a popular messenger and email registered on a russian domain. Evidence of permanent ties with representatives of law enforcement and state bodies of the russian federation has been established.

Mykolayiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy fired mortars and MLRS at the settlement and the water area of ​​Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Kherson Oblast

During a massive missile attack, the Defense Forces shot down 7 enemy missiles over the Kherson oblast.

In the morning, russian troops shelled Kochubeivka of Beryslav raion. They hit the administrative building. One person was killed and four were wounded.

The so-called “head of the village administration of Nova Zburiivka”, who voluntarily worked for the occupiers, was notified of being a collaborator. The woman organized a pseudo-referendum, personally held meetings, and conducted outreach work among the population.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Russian troops shelled three communities in the Nikopol raion of Dnipropetrovsk oblast – Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets, and Myrove. Also in Dnipro, a russian missile hit an industrial enterprise at night. At night, air defense forces shot down 5 Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones over Dnipro.

Junior Sergeant Oleh Rudevych, a 50-year-old from Novolativka, Anton Popov from Pokrovske, Oleksandr Tuzkov, a 45-year-old from Donetsk oblast (he lived in Piatykhatky in Dnipropetrovsk as an IDP), Vladyslav Poltavets from Novomoskovsk, Andrii Movchan from Kryvyi Rih, Viktor Mohyltsev, a 49-year-old, and Ivan Suhay, a 59-year-old, from Kamianske, were killed in the fighting for Ukraine,

Twelve wounded as a result of a rocket attack on a multi-story building in Dnipro on January 14 are being treated in hospital. Of these, 11 are adults – 9 women and 2 men – and 1 child. Their condition is stable. A total of 46 people have been reported dead, including 6 children. As of January 26, 38 people have been identified, including 5 children under the age of 18, and 8 people have not been identified.

In Dnipro, 5 medics who work in city hospitals and provide round-the-clock assistance to victims of the hostilities received medals “For Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine”.

In Dnipro, lawyers have created the ProUkraine Charitable Foundation to protect the rights of the military. They will legally protect those who defend us at the front. The service is completely free. So far, more than 20 lawyers have joined the project.

The Dnipropetrovsk State Emergency Service received a car from Swedish volunteers. The car was handed over to rescuers from the Swedish Rescuers organization with the assistance of the regional council.

One of Dnipro’s coffee shops is preparing charity drinks, and all proceeds will go to buy a quadcopter for the Armed Forces. They serve a special mojito. It has been added to the menu temporarily until the money is raised for the ‘warbird’.

Cherkasy Oblast

Around 1 a.m. on January 26, air defense systems were operating, and enemy drones were destroyed over Cherkasy oblast. According to the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, there were no damages or injuries.

In 2014, the company, which manufactures window and door facade systems, had to leave its native Donetsk oblast. When it relocated to Cherkasy oblast, the company employed twenty people. Now it is a team of seven hundred employees. Today, they export products to 11 European countries. 

Students of the University of the Third Age “Colors of Life” at a retirement center in Cherkasy learn the basics of computer literacy. The administration and volunteers worked together to purchase nine tablets to improve students’ knowledge. 

Poltava Oblast

A fundraiser was organized for the soldiers of the 116th Brigade, including many from Poltava oblast, to buy an evacuation vehicle that will help soldiers and medics evacuate the wounded from the battlefield even faster.

To support local businesses in Poltava oblast, the government will reimburse the costs of renting premises and paying for utilities to IDPs. The initiative will be funded by the regional budget.

More than 1400 unemployed people from Poltava oblast have joined the “Army of Recovery”. In total, almost 5,000 unemployed people in 10 oblasts have joined the project. Among them are 1418 from Poltava oblast. As part of the project, the unemployed can perform defense-related work, work to eliminate the consequences of man-made, natural, and military emergencies. For this, they receive a payment of UAH 6,700.

Heroes of Stalingrad Street in Poltava will be renamed. It is named after the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942-1943. It was a battle of Soviet troops against German, Italian, Romanian and Hungarian troops. And Pershotravnevyi Avenue will be renamed in honor of Poltava doctor Oleksandr Nesvitskyi (he spent 40 years of his life developing medicine in the city) or in honor of Vasyl Tatsii, a lawyer and rector of the Poltava Law Institute. Voting is ongoing in the community.

Western Oblasts

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

During security measures at critical infrastructure facilities, the SBU exposed a local resident in Ivano-Frankivsk who was agitating for the “russian world” in social networks. The man is a former Soviet military officer, a native of russia, who has lived in Ukraine since its independence. During searches at his place of residence, the SBU seized a phone and computer equipment with evidence of illegal activity.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

A delegation from the Khmelnytsky Regional Military Association visited the frontline positions of our defenders. Over the course of several days, it visited seven military units in the Bakhmut and Kharkiv sectors. The officials delivered cars, Starlink, drones, food, and other essentials to the front line. On the occasion, on behalf of the head of Regional Military Administration Serhiy Hamalii, the military were presented with medals for strengthening their defense capabilities in protecting Khmelnytskyi and Ukraine.

The IAEA team arrived at the plant site with experts from the United States and India. The missions are aimed at maintaining nuclear and radiation safety of Ukraine’s nuclear facilities at a time when russia is committing real nuclear terrorism. Currently, the IAEA permanent monitoring missions are located at all operating NPPs in Ukraine, as well as at the Chornobyl NPP. The IAEA mission has been operating at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP since September 2022.

Classes for a new group of students have started at the “Say it in Ukrainian” conversation club. The course is attended by residents of Khmelnytskyi and internally displaced persons who want to eradicate the enemy language from their everyday life. Classes are held at the Khmelnytsky Regional Universal Scientific Library. Anyone can join the conversation club. To do so, you need a library card.

Rivne Oblast

In Rivne, 49-year-old defender Captain Vitalii Lutsyk paid his last respects. After the start of the full-scale invasion, the man registered with the military enlistment office and was engaged in volunteer activities. In October, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces.

In Rivne oblast, a ten-year-old boy raised five thousand hryvnias during the Christmas holidays, which he donated to the needs of the Armed Forces. “Rivnegaz is adding another 95,000 hryvnias, and this 100,000 hryvnias will be donated to the Ruievyt Foundation, a charity organization that is currently raising money for an anti-drone rifle, which costs about 550,000 hryvnias.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Bukovyna has sent a soldier who defended Ukraine’s freedom and independence to his last journey: the funeral of senior soldier Ivan Mitrik took place at the Alley of Glory of the Central Cemetery in Chernivtsi.

Two off-road vehicles that will help soldiers perform combat missions were sent to the front by the community of Vanchykivtsi. Along with the vehicles, the defenders received food, medicines, and a drone.

The Sokyriany community purchased two cars for the defenders. The funds for the vehicles were raised by educators, the city council staff, employees of the community’s starosta districts, and concerned residents. The vehicles have high cross-country ability and all the characteristics necessary for the military. The vehicles were brought up to speed at the car service station of entrepreneur Ihor Serebrianskyi. The owner himself is now defending his native land from the enemy.
