Northern oblasts

Kyiv

Inspectors general from the United States arrived in Kyiv. According to the US Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, they will check the use of the aid provided.

Two former Berkut commanders who tried to destroy evidence of the killings of Revolution of Dignity participants were served notices of suspicion. They are charged with abuse of authority, theft and destruction of firearms.

The National Museum of History of Ukraine in Kyiv has launched a campaign called “Pass the Admission”. Any visitor or benefactor can give a ticket to an adult or child from among the IDPs or military family members. The admission for them can be paid at the box office or online.

Kyiv Oblast

The construction of the “Vesnianka” kindergarten is underway in Irpin. The old one-story building was destroyed by the russians during their offensive on Kyiv in the spring of 2022. The new kindergarten will have 3 floors with an elevator, as well as a swimming pool.

In Irpin, a multi-story building that was home to more than 40 families is being overhauled. The building was damaged as a result of the full-scale invasion. Experts have rated it as a category II facility. The reconstruction is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In Zhytomyr, the police are verifying information about mining of medical and educational institutions, including universities, institutes, and colleges.

Employees of the Polissia Nature Reserve have received a weather station, 4 generators and 10 new radios as part of the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine. This is only the first stage of the planned deliveries.

Chernihiv Oblast

Over the past day, russians shelled two border communities in the Chernihiv Oblast. 24 explosions were recorded.

On January 29, a car carrying civilians was damaged in a russian attack in the border community of Novhorod-Siverskyi. The driver was taking three persons from a border village to a hospital in the raion center. In the village, people heard a loud burst: probably, an enemy drone dropped an explosive ordnance. The car was riddled with shrapnel. The people survived.

Sumy Oblast

On January 28, russian troops fired 28 times at the border areas and settlements of the Sumy Oblast. 267 explosions were recorded. Eight communities came under shelling.

Two men were wounded in the Znob-Novhorod community in Sumy region as a result of shelling.

In the morning, the russian military shelled the Druzhba community in the Sumy Oblast with a mortar.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

More than 15 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast were targeted by russian artillery and mortar fire. The shelling damaged private houses and power grids in Vovchansk, and a residential building in Novoosynove in the Kupiansk Raion.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled four russian attacks near Synkivka and east of Pishchane in the Kharkiv Oblast.

Donetsk Oblast

The occupation forces attacked residential buildings in the Donetsk Oblast twelve times within a day. A power outage occurred in one of the mines, and ten miners were rescued to the surface after the power was restored.

Four people were injured in the Donetsk Oblast as a result of shelling by the russian military: three in Myrnohrad and one in Ocheretyne. In addition, they managed to get information about one person who was wounded in Avdiivka earlier.

On January 28, the Russian occupiers launched about 1300 artillery attacks at the Lyman-Kupiansk and Bakhmut sectors, which are covered by the Khortytsia group of troops. Most of the clashes took place in the Avdiivka and Maryinka sectors.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

The occupiers directed two S-300 missiles at Kostiantynivka, and then hit the city with artillery. There was destruction on the territory of the enterprise. Two private houses and a garage were damaged.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

Myrnograd was hit with three missiles during the night. Previously, the russian military used the S-300 air defense system. A kindergarten, an educational institution and at least fifteen private houses were damaged.

Luhansk Oblast

In the Luhansk Oblast, the russians began to lease mines from the occupiers. The mines without bidding do not require investment. Last week, the occupation authorities signed the first contract for the lease of coal mines and equipment. We are talking about the property of the “Bilorechenska” mine, as well as the production unit “Krasnodon Freight and Transport Administration”.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

During the day, russian troops attacked the Mykolaiv Oblast with Shahed-136/131 drones, FPV drones and artillery fire. The private sector, an educational institution and an administrative building were damaged. There are no casualties.

A woman was detained in the Mykolaiv Oblast, who was passing on information about Ukrainian marines to russia, in particular, geodata of command and combat units.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Military personnel of the russian federation hit 18 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. 126 hits were recorded. Two reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings. There were no casualties. 

Yesterday, in the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled an attack by the russian military north of Pryiutne.

The Security Service of Ukraine informed 27 citizens of Ukraine who, according to the investigation, about the suspicion of collaborative activities They joined the “headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the russian federation in the Zaporizhzhia oblast” created by the russians in the temporarily captured part of the Oblast. The suspects work in the Berdiansk, Yakymivka, Vasylivka, Energodar, Tokmak, and Melitopol divisions of the occupation body.

Kherson Oblast

During the day, the russian military shelled the Kherson Oblast 89 times. They attacked residential quarters of settlements in the Oblast. Two people are injured.

At night, the army of the russian federation shelled an agricultural enterprise in the Muzykivka community of the Kherson Oblast. They destroyed a hangar. Agricultural machinery, four trucks and one car were also damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

During the day of January 28, the russian army attacked the territory of the Nikopol Raion in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with drones seven times. They were also fired from heavy artillery. Two houses, a garage, and a shed were damaged.

In the evening, a drone of the russian army was shot down in the Synelnykove Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Debris of the downed UAV fell on the territory of an agricultural enterprise. The roof of the building was broken. There are no casualties or injuries.

On the night of January 29, russian troops struck the Marganets community of the Nikopol Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with artillery. Two men aged 19 and 21 were injured.

Kirovohrad Oblast

At the request of the military, a backhoe loader was purchased in the Kompaniivka settlement community of the Kropyvnytskyi Raion.

In the department of local history of the Kirovohrad regional universal scientific library named after Dmytro Chyzhevsky, the club “History of the region in names” has started its work. The goal of the club is to open the little-known pages of the biographies of well-known, little-known and forgotten compatriots who have written interesting pages into the history of the region.

Poltava Oblast

Vinnytsia Oblast

Almost half a hundred migrant children have visited the “LapaDog” dog training center in the village of Vinnytski Khutory in six months. Here they can train the center’s animals or their own for free. Working with dogs has a positive effect on children’s nervous system.

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

At night, during the air raid in the Rivne Oblast, air defense was working. It passed without victims.

Rivne priest Vitaly Porovchuk published a pocket “Prayer Book of the Ukrainian Army” with a print run of two thousand copies. This is its second reprint, the first was printed in 2014, with the beginning of russia’s war against Ukraine.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

They were transferred to the Department of Ophthalmology of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, which deals with prosthetics for soldiers.

Ternopil Oblast
