Northern Oblasts
Kyiv Oblast
Today on Sofia Square, a commemorative event was held to commemorate the anniversary of russia’s full-scale attack on Ukraine. It was attended by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi and military personnel.
Today, the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, arrived in Kyiv. At the beginning of his visit to Ukraine, he honored the memory of those who died for Ukraine at the Wall of Memory near the Mykhailo Zlatoverho Monastery. Also, together with Volodymyr Zelenskyi, he visited Ukrainian soldiers who are undergoing treatment after injuries in one of the Kyiv hospitals.
Kyiv Oblast
Today, in the Vyshgorod raion, sappers eliminated explosive objects.
At the UNITED FOR UKRAINE charity event in Milan, 150,000 euros were collected for the reconstruction of the “Champion” stadium in Irpin, destroyed as a result of hostilities. The event was supported by the famous Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani, Italian football players, politicians and public figures. The event was held under the patronage of UNITED24 ambassador, the famous Ukrainian football player Andrii Shevchenko. It was he who brought the main lot from Kyiv — a Ukrainian flag with the signature of President Volodymyr Zelensky, which was purchased by the Serie A Football Clubs League for 110,000 euros.
Before the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, students and teachers of the State Tax University in Irpen created a living map of Ukraine, in the middle of which the Ukrainian flag was unfurled.
In Irpin, a memorial plaque was installed on the house where the defender of the city Ihor Sukhikh lived. Ihor Sukhikh was a tax police officer and a veteran of the ATO, studied at the State Tax University in Irpen.
Zhytomyr Oblast
In Zhytomyr, they said goodbye to the Heroes who returned on the shield. Pavlo Gvozdytskyi served in the ranks of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Died in Donbas on February 18, 2023. Oleksandr Ishchuk served under a contract. He was wounded, went through the hell of captivity by pro-russian terrorists. He was repeatedly awarded departmental awards of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Died in the south of Ukraine. Oleksandr Uskov joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the beginning of russia’s full-scale aggression. Died in battle. Eternal glory to the Heroes.
In Zhytomyr Oblast, police explosives officers neutralized the 400-kilogram warhead of an enemy rocket. The find was discovered on the territory of the Baranivka community.
26 communities of Zhytomyr Oblast received four dozen Starlink sets for “Points of Invincibility”. This became possible thanks to the cooperation of the Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and Polish partners and benefactors.
Chernihiv Oblast
During enemy shelling of the Semenivka community on February 23, several businesses were damaged, equipment was damaged and a shed was burned. There are no injured people.
On February 24, the russians shelled Novgorod-Sivershchyna with 120 mm mortars. Three arrivals were recorded at the intersection of Mykhalchyna-Sloboda-Gremyach roads.
On February 23, in the Chernihiv Oblast, they said goodbye to five servicemen who died in the battles in the east of Ukraine: Viktor Makarevych, Ruslan Andriyash, Valery Korsunov, Volodymyr Yeroshenko and Serhiy Pavlyuchkov.
Sumy Oblast
During February 23, the russian military shelled five territorial communities of Sumy Oblast: Myropillya, Bilopillya, Khotyn, Nova Sloboda, and Krasnopillya. 93 hits were recorded.
On the morning of February 24, the russians shelled the border village of Boyaro-Lezhachi in the Sumy Oblast. The shelling was probably from a mortar.
In the village of Stepanivka, Sumy raion, they said goodbye to the soldier Vladyslav Kulyabin.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
On the anniversary of the heroic resistance to the full-scale russian invasion, the Head of Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration Oleg Synegubov took part in the ceremonial awarding of fighters of the 127th and 113th separate brigades of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He awarded the personnel of the brigades with certificates of honor of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration and thanked them for their selfless service to Ukraine.
Yesterday, the enemy massively shelled border settlements in the Kupyansk, Chuguyiv and Kharkiv raions of the Oblast.
Yesterday morning, previously with the S-300 air defense system, the enemy attacked the administrative building in the village of Dvorichna, Kupyansk raion. 2 people – a man and a woman – were injured.
During rescue operations, the enemy shelled Dvorichna for the second time. Aimed at the rescuers. At least 4 vehicles of the State Emergency Service were damaged. Due to the risk to the lives of the rescuers, the work on the debris removal was suspended.
During the day, the enemy massively shelled Kupyansk and the surrounding villages. In Kupyansk, 2 women aged 54 and 61 and a man aged 43 were injured.
Also, in Kupyansk, 4 residential buildings were destroyed by shelling. houses and farm buildings were damaged in the area, fires broke out.
Donetsk Oblast
The enemy’s main efforts are now focused on conducting offensive actions in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions.
During February 23, the russian occupation forces carried out 25 strikes on 15 settlements in Donetsk Oblast.
On February 23, shelling killed two people in Yampil and Ivanivskyi, and seven more residents of the region were injured.
During the year of the russian’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, 1,384 people were killed and 3,085 people were injured. It is impossible to establish the exact number of dead and wounded in Volnovakha and Mariupol.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion
In the east of the Pokrovsk raion , intensive shelling of the Mariinka community continued at night: Mariinka, Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, and Maksimilianivka, and shelling of Kurakhove and Kurakhivka was also recorded.
During the year of the full-scale war, Ivano-Frankivsk became a city that provided powerful support to Donetsk Oblast, in particular, Avdiivka. So, the people of Ivano-Frankivsk took in immigrants from the east, send aid to the front line and support local residents with humanitarian goods. In particular, the other day, volunteers from Ivano-Frankivsk bought inverters, powerful power banks, chargers, as well as charging stations and first-aid kits, which they handed over to the Avdiivka City Military Administration. They have already been handed over to military personnel serving in Donetsk Oblast.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion
In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy carried out several unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Zaliznyanske, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Diliivka and Vasylivka settlements. More than 20 settlements, in particular, Zaliznyanske, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Kurdyumivka, Mayorsk, Pivnichne, Ivanopillia and Krasnohorivka of the Donetsk Oblast, were shelled.
Chasiv Yar and Krasnohorivka came under artillery fire. Two houses were damaged in Chasiv Yar, the rest of the projectiles flew into the industrial zone.
In Krasnohorivka, there was a direct hit on a 5-story building, but the last resident of this building was evacuated two days ago. So luckily no one was hurt.
During the war, russia killed 192 residents of the Bakhmut community, separated hundreds of families, drove out about 75,000 Bakhmut residents, and destroyed thousands of houses.
Kramatorsk
Russia killed 77 people and injured 253 residents in Kramatorsk during the year. Destroyed 2 apartment buildings and 19 private houses, damaged 362 apartment buildings and 719 private houses. It also damaged and destroyed 111 schools, kindergartens, educational and medical institutions, etc.
On the night of February 24, the russian army shelled Slavyansk. Private houses were damaged by shelling. There are no dead or injured civilians.
They also hit Sviatohirsk with a rocket, Uragans hit Karlivka, and Avdiyivka — from aviation and Grads. There are dead and wounded civilians.
Mariupol
On the anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale war, the Mariupol Resistance, together with the citizens under occupation, reminded everyone that Mariupol was, is and always will be Ukrainian.
Luhansk Oblast
Yesterday, the occupiers tried to advance in three companies in the Kreminna area. The enemy’s attack failed, one company of russians died, which is about 70 soldiers. The number of injured is still being determined.
90% of the buildings in Severodonetsk were shelled by the russians, 70% of them cannot be restored. All the promises of the invaders regarding the reconstruction of this city and other settlements in a few weeks have come to nothing.
Southern Oblasts
Mykolayiv Oblast
On the night of February 24, the enemy attacked the settlement of the Kutsurub community with anti-aircraft guns. The hit was recorded in an open area. There are no casualties.
In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.
Odesa Oblast
Since February 24, 2022, the russian army has launched more than 100 missile strikes in the Odesa Oblast. In addition to military facilities, rockets hit residential buildings, recreation centers, transport and energy infrastructure and claimed at least 40 lives.
As a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people and, in particular, Odesa, on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of russia in the Italian city of Venice, the buildings of the Municipality will be illuminated for three nights in blue and yellow – the colors of the National Flag of Ukraine.
Kherson Oblast
During the day, the russian army shelled the settlements of four communities of the Beryslav raion. In particular, Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Osokorivka, Odradokamyanka, Mykolaivka, Tyagynka, Lvove. A power transmission line was damaged, as a result of which there is no electricity supply in Beryslav. There are no injured or dead.
On the night of February 24, the russian military shelled the Kherson community 14 times. Tavriyskyi microdistrict, Ostriv, the city center, Antonivka were under fire, houses and the market area were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.
In Kherson, the russian army shelled a kindergarten in Korabelny district. A fire started as a result of the impact of the projectile. There are no casualties or injuries.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, law enforcement officers have opened almost two thousand cases of crimes against the foundations of national security in the Kherson Oblast. Among them, more than 900 are accused of collaboration and treason. 140 people, based on the results of investigations, received suspicions. 35 cases are currently under consideration in the courts.
The ex-head of one of the departments of the Kherson Correctional Colony No. 90 will be tried for treason. During the occupation, he voluntarily worked in a pseudo-security agency, ordered the employees of the pre-trial detention center to leave the workplace and release the prisoners.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
The russian army shelled Nikopol, Marganets, Myrove and Chervonogrigorivka communities with heavy artillery. 8 private houses were damaged in Nikopol. One of them caught fire. 5 outbuildings were damaged, as well as 2 shops and a cafe. Other consequences are established.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the russians have killed 218 civilians of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. More than 800 people were injured and wounded due to enemy shelling. More than 5,000 private and high-rise buildings were destroyed and damaged in cities and villages. And more than 150 schools and kindergartens, almost 40 hospitals, about 100 enterprises.
34-year-old Serhii Bely from Nikopol died defending Ukraine from the russian aggressor. Viktor Koshel, a 46-year-old border guard from Pidgorodne, died near Bakhmut while covering the departure of his comrades. Ivan Kozyrev, a 29-year-old soldier from Kryvyi Rih, died at the front. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, air defense forces within the Eastern Command have shot down more than 170 cruise missiles and more than 300 drones, including kamikaze drones.
Poltava Oblast
The legendary tank fighter Serhii Mishchenko from Poltava Oblast has been posthumously awarded the title of “Hero of Ukraine”. The defender destroyed 35 pieces of enemy equipment. Serhii Mishchenko destroyed 7 of them, including 4 enemy tanks, during one battle. The warrior had the call sign “Buhor”.
The Poltava Regional Military Command plans to start building housing for IDPs on April 1, when the state provides funding. The cost of the entire project is preliminarily estimated at UAH 2.4 billion, of which the “paper” part is UAH 10 million.
“The Civilian Readiness Center” in Poltava conducts training on first aid for staff of institutions. The goal is to reach motivated city residents with training.
Western Oblasts
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Over 230,000 Ukrainians fleeing the shelling after February 24 were hosted by the Khmelnytskyi community in 2022. This is almost as many as the number of local residents in the city. One in ten of the newcomers stayed in Khmelnytskyi.
Maria Berlinska, a resident of Kamianets-Podilskyi, won the Light of Justice award. The award ceremony took place at the Ukrainian Catholic University. According to the organizers, this year’s winners were chosen from among the community of volunteers who, through their work, bring Ukraine’s victory in the war with russia closer and are examples of daily sacrifice.
The photo exhibition “The Power of the Home Front” was opened in the center of Khmelnytskyi near the Taras Shevchenko Cinema. The exhibition, which includes 29 photographs taken by five photographers, shows the events of the first months of the full-scale invasion.
The regional coordinator of the “Active Community” in Kamianets-Podilskyi took part in the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the russian-Ukrainian war ‘Na zlami’ (“At the Turn…of 24.02.2022…”).
Rivne Oblast
In Rivne Oblast, nine defenders were laid to rest. The Radyvyliv community said goodbye to Mykhailo Zahorskyi. Mykola Boichuk was laid to rest in the Mlyniv community. The Dubno community honored the memory of Ihor Mishchuk. Serhii Melnyk is a resident of the village of Veliun in Dubrovytsi Raion. Residents of the Sarny community paid tribute to Anatoliy Krychylskyi, a warrior and teacher in civilian life. In the Oleksandria territorial community, Viktor Huts, a resident of the village of Kozlyn, was sent off in deep sorrow. The Kostopil community paid tribute to the fallen soldier Taras Stepchuk. A soldier from the Hoshcha territorial community, 54-year-old Borys Tverdiuk from the village of Voskodavy, was sent on his last journey. The Zoriane rural territorial community said goodbye to Oleksandr Yurdyha. On the anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale invasion, residents of Rivne paid their last respects to Volodymyr Zarichniuk and Valeriy Pavliuk. Eternal glory to the Heroes.
In the Rivne Oblast, the keys to 12 modular houses for more than 40 IDPs were handed over. The buildings are insulated and can withstand temperatures down to -40 degrees Celsius. They have autonomous heating. There is a kitchen, a shower room, a wardrobe, a double bed, and a double sofa. The newly created town is located on the territory of the Radyvyliv community. The houses were manufactured by Life Bud, a company relocated from Kharkiv Oblast.
Chernivtsi Oblast
A last goodbye to the Heroes who died defending Ukraine from the russian invasion took place: Junior Sergeant Serhii Skvortsov, soldiers Ivan Yakivchyk and Oleksii Bodnar were laid to rest on the Alley of Glory of the Central Cemetery of Chernivtsi, Senior Sergeant Vitalii Rudnytskyi – in the village of Nedoboivtsi, Junior Sergeant Ivan Makoviychuk – in the town of Vyzhnytsia, soldiers Dmytro Kosteniuk – in the village of Pohorilivka, Ilia Vizyr – in the village of Lukavtsi, Serhii Fedoriuk – in the city of Storozhynets, Dmytro Kadyk – in the city of Novodnistrovsk, Kostiantyn Palamariuk, and Ilya Bodnarashek – in the town of Berehomet. Eternal memory and glory to the brave defenders of the Motherland.
Oleh Lakusta from Bukovyna was awarded the title of “Hero of Ukraine”: on the anniversary of his invincibility, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi personally presented him with the state award, the Order of the Golden Star. The soldier is a participant of the ATO in eastern Ukraine as part of the Sokil rapid response unit, a colonel of the National Police of Ukraine, and a participant in the russian-Ukrainian war who excelled during the russian invasion of Ukraine.
Serhiy Khrapko, a resident of the Mamayivtsi community, received the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, III degree. The defender has been protecting our land from the russian invaders since 2014.
At the session of the Chernivtsi City Council, a decision was made to allocate 92 million hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Khotyn community has sent another aid to the military at the front – modern equipment: a charging station, a laser rangefinder, and heating insoles.
Zakarpattia Oblast

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, employees of the Synevyr National Nature Park have been making trench candles. Local beekeepers helped them with the supplies.
