Northern oblasts

Chernihiv Oblast

During the day of March 1, russians attacked four border communities in the Chernihiv Oblast. They used FPV drones, Vasilek and 120 mm mortars, and artillery.

Sumy Oblast

Over the past day, the russian army shelled 11 communities in the Sumy Oblast. A total of 157 explosions were recorded. 11 communities came under fire.

At night and in the morning of March 2, the russian military attacked the Sumy Oblast 11 times. 34 explosions were recorded. The attacks were carried out with Shahed drones, aerial bombs, and Grad MLRS.

More than 2.5 thousand consumers in the Sumy Oblast were left without gas due to nighttime strikes by the russian federation. In the Velyka Pysarivka community in the Sumy Oblast, the shelling damaged the building of the local hospital as well as private houses.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past day, 6 communities in the Kharkiv Oblast were subjected to airstrikes.

One of the Shahed drones launched by russian troops at Kharkiv on the night of March 2 hit a yard in the Shevchenkivskyi district. At least 150 windows were smashed, 10 houses and a water supply system were damaged, and four cars burned down. There are no reports of any casualties.

Throughout the day, russians heavily shelled the city of Vovchansk. Private households and an apartment building were damaged. Three local residents were injured.

A 76-year-old resident of Velykyi Burluk in the Kharkiv Oblast died under the rubble of his house. A russian drone hit the house at around 00:10 on March 2, setting off a fire.

This morning, russians shelled Lyptsi. The wreckage of a car was on fire as a result of the shelling. A 5-by-5 meter crater, five meters deep was formed at the site of the hit. At least five private households were damaged.

Donetsk Oblast

On March 1, russian troops shelled 10 settlements in the Donetsk Oblast, destroying and damaging 39 civilian buildings and structures. Two people were wounded in Siversk as a result of shelling by the russian army.

Ukrainian military repelled 75 attacks by the russian occupation forces in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Most of the hostilities took place in the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka sectors. Here, the russian army attempted to assault more than 50 times.

In the eastern sector, Ukrainian troops targeted two russian aircraft – Su-34 and Su-35 – with air defense systems. The downing of one fighter-bomber has been confirmed.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the morning of March 2, the russian occupation forces shelled the Kurakhove community with artillery, wounding one person.

The situation in the Avdiivka sector remains challenging. The russian occupation forces are trying to maintain a 10 to 1 advantage.

Mariupol

On March 1, the Ukrainian military destroyed another russian Su-34 fighter in the direction of Mariupol.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

During the past day, the russian army struck the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities with artillery. In addition, the settlement of the Shevchenkove community was hit by a missile. There are no casualties.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

306 strikes were carried out by the russian army on six settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast yesterday, March 1. In particular, 79 drones attacked six communities. There was no information about the dead and wounded.

One person died as a result of a russian artillery attack on the village of Primorske in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Odesa Oblast

At night, the Defense Forces destroyed seven drones of the Shahed-131/136 type, which were used by the russian army to attack Odessa. One of the drones hit a 9-story residential building. Part of the entrance to 18 apartments was destroyed. Engineering networks and the boiler house were also damaged. As of 6:00 p.m., six people have died, including a child. Eight people were injured. Five people were saved.

The third of March has been declared a day of mourning in Odesa and the Oblast.

Kherson Oblast

Over the past day, russian troops shelled 24 settlements in the Kherson Oblast. A high-rise building, 11 private houses and a cellular tower were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.

In Beryslav, as a result of an FPV drone attack, a police service car was damaged, another one was damaged as a result of a drone attack in Zmiivka.

In the morning, the russian army fired artillery at one of the settlements of the Stanislav community in the Kherson Oblast. A 53-year-old man died as a result of a shell explosion in the yard of his own house.

Today, the russian army shelled the Dnipro Raion of Kherson. A 79-year-old woman was injured. She was hospitalized in a moderate condition.

Construction of a modular town is underway in the Chornobaivka community of the Kherson Oblast. It is designed for more than 350 people who found themselves homeless as a result of the invasion of the russian federation.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of March 2, 3 air targets were destroyed in the sky over the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Two missiles were shot down in the Kryvyi Rih Raion, and a drone was shot down in the Novomoskovsk Raion.

On the night of March 2, the russian army shelled the Nikopol Raion with artillery. The Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities were under attack. There were no dead or injured.

On March 2, two women – 65 and 66 years old – were wounded due to shelling in the Nikopol Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. 12 farm buildings, cars, greenhouses, gas furnaces, a power line, a transport company and two dozen solar panels were damaged.

Vinnytsia Oblast

In Vinnytsia, an action was held in support of the captured defenders, which was organized by the relatives of the soldiers. The participants formed a “living chain” on both sides of the road in the city center.

Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

An Alley of Memory was opened in the city of Drohobych. On the metal 42-meter structure of the Alley are placed photos of the fallen defenders and symbols of their military units. There is a QR code on each of the photos, which contains more detailed information about the soldier.

Zakarpattia Oblast

Volunteers of the “Movement to support the Zakarpattia military – the city of Vynohradiv” developed a model of the D-20 combat gun. The goal is to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and financially exhaust the russian army. The model for its creation was photos available on the network. In Ukraine, a similar model has not yet been produced.
