Northern Oblasts
Kyiv
Heating points in Kyiv will be put on standby, but in the case of an emergency, they will provide the necessary services to Kyiv residents. 2 points in each district will be left in working condition.
Trams made of Azovstal steel will adorn the streets of the capital. Eight trams were manufactured by the Tatra-Yug company, which purchased the metal even before the full-scale war. The new «Azovstal» trams are equipped for people with limited mobility, with an improved heating system, modern ventilation and air conditioning.
Kyiv Oblast
Irpin was visited by the UNDP delegation together with Assistant Secretary General of the UN Asako Okai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Matsuda Kuninori, Permanent Representative of UNDP in Ukraine Yako Silje. The delegation inspected the objects that are being prepared for dismantling and those that are already being cleared of debris. The works are carried out within the framework of the relevant UNDP project financed by the Japanese government. Dismantling is carried out in Irpin, Bucha, Gostomel and Makariv communities.
After the deoccupation of Kyiv Oblast, 283 residents are still missing. Since February 24, 2022, law enforcement officers have received 767 reports of missing citizens in the Kyiv Oblast. Currently, it was possible to find 484 people, of which 143 are among the bodies of dead Ukrainians.
Two bridges were opened on the Kyiv-Chernihiv highway, which were destroyed by the russian troops. These are routes M-01 (Kyiv-Chernihiv-Novi Yarylovychi) and P-69 (Kyiv-Vyshhorod-Desna-Chernihiv).
A modular town was opened in Dmytrivka for the temporary residence of those who lost their homes due to the war. Temporary housing is equipped with the necessary equipment, furniture, and basic necessities. A powerful 220 kW generator is installed nearby. The town is designed for simultaneous accommodation of 252 people. Currently, 41 families live there.
Kyiv Oblast was among the top three Oblasts in terms of decommunization. According to the estimates of the non-governmental organization «Decommunization of Ukraine», Kyiv Oblast took third place as of February 24, 2022, having dismantled 60 objects related to the russian federation and the soviet past. Zakarpattia Oblast took first place with 88 facilities, Lviv – second place with 64.
Zhytomyr Oblast
In Ovruch, Zhytomyr Oblast, the installation of the future building of a new kindergarten has begun. The modular constructions of the kindergarten were brought from Estonia as part of the international program for the reconstruction of Zhytomyr Oblast.
At the Luhynsky Lyceum in Zhytomyr Oblast, pillows are sewn, camouflage nets are woven, and more than two thousand trench candles were made by order of soldiers from the front line.
Viktor Revenko from Kherson is a firefighter. Together with his wife Alyona Movchan, he started the campaign «Heroes without weapons» and collects charitable funds for thermal imagers.
In the premises of the Water Tower, a personal exhibition of Marta Hrytsanyuk, a ten-year-old woman from Zhytomyr, was opened – «Unbreakable Ukrainian Women». During the year of the full-scale war, the girl created 19 paintings depicting the most significant events of the war. Marta’s works were exhibited in four cities in Poland and several cities in Ukraine.
Chernihiv Oblast
The family of Oleg Shupik, the deceased navigator of the aviation services of the 39th tactical aviation brigade of the Air Command «Center» of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was awarded the Order «For Courage» III degree. A fighter died in October 2022 in Poltava Oblast.
The Chernihiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office informed a resident of Pryluky raion of the suspicion of distributing materials justifying, recognizing and denying the armed aggression of the russian federation. According to the investigation, the woman used the social network «Odnoklasniki» to distribute videos in which she praised the actions of the russian military.
Two oxygen stations were installed in the Novgorod-Siversk Central Raion Hospital. The medical facility received one of them from the «100% Life» charitable organization, the other was purchased with funds from a state subsidy. The first oxygen station will be calculated for 30 points. It costs about 4 million hryvnias. Oxygen stations will provide 100% of the hospital’s needs.
Sumy Oblast
On March 24, there was an air strike and a kamikaze drone strike in the village of Vyry of the Richky community. There, a kindergarten, an administration building, a club, and an almost destroyed school were damaged. There were no casualties or injuries.
Yesterday afternoon, the russian military shelled Esman and Myropillia communities of the Sumy Oblast. A residential building, a cultural center, an administrative building and a power line were damaged.
In the city center «Romantyka» the meeting «Sumy – the city of invincibles» was held. In an open microphone format, the youth talked with volunteers and active members of the community, people who stood and are standing in defense of their native territories, helping to hold the rear in various spheres of activity. The event was held for the formation of national consciousness, patriotism and citizenship among young people.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
The russian military tried to advance on Hryanikyvka and Synkivka in the Kharkiv Oblast. At least 17 settlements in the oblast came under fire from the russian.
In the morning of March 25, the russian military fired from a tank on Timofiivka of the Zolochiv community, one house and a barn were destroyed, and two more buildings were damaged. The village is partially without electricity.
On the embankment near the village of Shestakove of the Stara Saltivka community, a passenger car hit a mine, as a result of which the driver died. And in the village of Shchurivka, Izyum raion, a 55-year-old man blew himself up with an unknown explosive device near the river. He was admitted to the Balaklia Hospital with the amputation of his right foot.
In the village of Kamianka, Izyum raion, police exhumed the bodies of two people who died in March 2022 during a russian aerial bombardment. The mummified body of a man was found in the lot of a country house. The remains of a 91-year-old woman were buried on the territory of the house. The bodies of the deceased were sent for forensic examination.
March 25 is the anniversary of the beginning of the fighting for Mala Rohan in Kharkiv Oblast. The liberation of a village near Kharkiv was the beginning of a spring counteroffensive by Ukrainian forces. Before that, the military held the defense and repelled russian attacks.
Donetsk Oblast
On March 24, the russian military shelled nine settlements in Donetsk Oblast 22 times. They hit with aircraft, S-300 missiles, drones, Grads, artillery and tanks.
On March 24, two residents were killed in Bakhmut and Orlivka in the Donetsk Oblast. Three more residents were injured in Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar and Pervomaisk.
Since February 24, the russians have killed 1,431 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 3,261. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovah is currently unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion
Late at night, the russians launched a rocket attack on Kramatorsk. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but one of the S-300 missiles hit the administrative building, destroying the three upper floors. The explosion damaged 8 apartment buildings, 6 retail outlets, a school and a hotel. The second rocket hit the industrial zone.
In the evening and night of March 24, the russian army shelled the Kostyantynivka community twice a day. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the shelling. Damaged houses, asphalt pavement of the central street of Kostyantynivka, and a gas pipeline. The russian military released a drone and one rocket over the city.
In the Lysychansk direction, private houses on two streets in Siversk were damaged, shelling of the Torsky and Zarichny Lymansk communities continues.
Two former employees of Ukrzaliznytsia will be tried for cooperation with the russians during the occupation of Lyman. They ensured the railway connection of the city with the “DPR”, maintained the infrastructure and recruited personnel for the pseudo-structure.
A second social laundry opened in Sviatohirsk. The central water supply and drainage system still cannot be restored in the city. Currently, there are two washing machines and two dryers in the laundry room. Four more machines will be connected soon.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsky raion
During the morning of March 25, the russian army shelled Avdiyivka six times with barrel artillery and “Grad”. There are no casualties or injuries.
In the Ocheretyn community, one person died in Orlivka and one person was injured in Pervomaisk.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion
Russian troops shelled Bakhmut three times with rocket artillery, damaging four apartment buildings. As a result, one person died and one was injured. Also, one person was injured in the Chasiv Yar community – at least 4 houses were damaged in the city.
Southern Oblasts
Mykolayiv Oblast

The russian army has reduced the number of warships in the Black Sea to ten. Among them are two missile carriers with eight Kalibr missiles on board.
In Odesa, a resident of Chornobaivka was sentenced to five years in prison for handing out ballots at a “referendum” last September in favor of Kherson Oblast joining russia.
In Odesa, a photo exhibition dedicated to the ninth anniversary of the National Guard of Ukraine was opened at the railway station. It features photos of the National Guard and their combat work.
Kherson Oblast
On March 24, the russian military fired 67 times at the de-occupied Kherson Oblast with heavy artillery and “Hrad” systems. Kherson was shelled 7 times, hitting residential areas, private and apartment buildings, and a medical facility. Two people were killed and six were wounded.
Today, russian troops shelled a humanitarian aid distribution point in Kherson. Four people were wounded.
Near Velyka Oleksandrivka, a local resident exploded on a russian explosive in a forest belt. He sustained leg injuries and is being treated.
Pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service of Kherson Oblast destroyed 61 explosive devices over the past day. Rescuers also extinguished three fires.
About 17 thousand Kherson residents took advantage of free evacuation. Among them, 2,000 were children. Many people left on their own.
Central Oblasts
Kirovohrad Oblast
For more than a year of war, Kirovohrad Oblast has hosted more than ten relocated universities. One of them is the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, which used to operate in Mariupol. Today, the city authorities handed over a certificate for three new cars to the institution. They will serve the cadets.
An office of the NGO “IDPs of Ukraine” was officially opened in Kropyvnytskyi to support IDPs from Kropyvnytskyi and Kirovohrad Oblast. It is one of eight offices already operating in Ukraine. The center will help with adaptation to new circumstances, job search, benefits, legal and psychological support.
Poltava Oblast
In the Poltava Oblast, 103 invincibility points will continue to operate – the rest will be switched to “Ready to Open” mode.
The curfew has been shortened in Poltava Oblast. Starting March 27, it will last from 23:00 to 04:00.
The budget of Poltava Oblast has been increased by UAH 324 million. This decision was supported by the deputies of the regional council. The funds will be used for healthcare, construction, reconstruction, and repair of a number of institutions, education, social protection, terrorism defense, and other areas.
Poltava Oblast has received another aid package for 20 medical institutions. The products were donated by the Light of Hope charity organization in cooperation with the UN World Food Program and with the support of the 100% Life charity. This year it was the third time. In total, almost 100 tons of food arrived in Poltava Oblast. The needs are determined by requests from hospitals.
A street food festival is taking place in Poltava, and part of the proceeds will be transferred to buy thermal imagers for soldiers.
Western Oblasts
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
A supporter of the “russian world” who provided information support to the aggressor state in subversive activities against Ukraine was convicted in Khmelnytskyi Oblast. The court sentenced the Netishyn resident to 5 years in prison.
By the decision of the deputies of the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council, 14 fallen Heroes were awarded the title of “Honorary Citizen of Kamianets-Podilskyi”. Their children will receive UAH 3,000 in annual financial assistance until they reach the age of 18.
Today marks one year since the Kharkiv-based ‘Sto Pudiv’ enterprise of Prodenergo LLC was relocated to Kamianets-Podilskyi. We started with one automatic line. Now the company has three of them. More than 50 people are involved in the production process. Today the company produces 40 types of food products.
Residents of the Dunaivtsi community sent another car to the front line. The VAZ 2121 car worth UAH 80 thousand was purchased at the expense of voluntary contributions from employees of the city council, municipal institutions, enterprises and community institutions.
Chernivtsi Oblast
The head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration presented state awards to the families of fallen soldiers from Bukovyna. Thus, soldiers Andrii Bozhek, Mykola Horban, Maksym Kravets, and senior soldier Mykhailo Yazhuk were awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree (posthumously). Eternal glory to the Heroes.
In Bukovyna, 12 social welfare institutions received humanitarian aid – generators from the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine.
The Chernivtsi Regional Children’s Hospital received 5 wheelchairs for people with disabilities from the Bukovyna Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation for Children with Disabilities “Special Child”. The total cost of the equipment is UAH 68,000.
Zakarpattia Oblast
The Department of Municipal Infrastructure of the Uzhhorod City Council has announced a discussion of a project to create a memorial park in Uzhhorod.
Humanitarian aid has been delivered to IDPs in Uzhhorod. The humanitarian aid was distributed by volunteers of the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center in partnership with PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V.
In Uzhhorod, the organization “Tree of My Life” provides group psychological counseling for military families who have lost loved ones as a result of the war.
