Kyiv Oblast

Chernihiv Oblast

On April 8, russian troops shelled the communities of Novgorod-Siversk and Semenivsk. 5 explosions were recorded in Yasnaya Polyana of the Novgorod-Siversk community, and 16 mortar explosions and 4 explosions from explosive charges from UAVs were recorded in Bleshna of the Semenivsk community.

On April 9, the russians launched a missile strike in the area of the village of Gremyach, in the Novgorod-Siverskyi raion. The occupiers launched a rocket attack on the village of Velikiy Burluk of the Kupyansk raion. The S-300 missile hit the ground in an open area. 3 residential buildings and 3 farm buildings were partially damaged.

Demining works are ongoing in the oblast. During the day, the pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 6 hectares of territory and neutralized 117 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, the russians injured two residents of Donetsk Oblast- in Toretsk and Bakhmut.

In total, since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,463 civilians of Donetsk Oblast and wounded another 3,363 people.

It is still impossible to establish the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovas.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsky raion

Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 15 enemy attacks during the defense of Maryinka. Novokalynove, Kamianka, Stepove, Orlivka, Lastochkine, Avdiyivka, Severne, Netaylove, Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobyeda and Paraskoviivka came under fire.

Last day, 2 high-rise buildings were damaged in Krasnohorivka of the Maryinka community and 4 private houses in Gostroma of the Kurakhiv community, there were no casualties.

Four children and their parents were evacuated from Avdiyivka and the neighboring village of Ocheretine, Donetsk Oblast. The White Angels police persuaded them to leave. Mykolayiv Oblast

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, April 8, the russian military shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of ​​17 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

At night, russian troops shelled Zaporizhzhia: two rockets hit the private sector and destroyed a house. A man and a child died, one woman was hospitalized, and another injured person was treated on the spot. The rubble of the destroyed building continues to be dismantled – previously, three people lived there. The street is cut off from gas and electricity, dozens of houses are damaged. 

The occupying army of the russian federation carried out an airstrike on one of the communities of Pology raion in Zaporizhzhia. As a result of shelling, houses of civilians and a school were damaged. People were not injured. 

Odesa Oblast

The number of submarines in the Black Sea has increased to two since yesterday. Their salvo can consist of eight missiles.

A storm warning was announced in Odesa and the Oblast. Residents of Odesa are advised to keep a distance of 200 meters from the water cut, as the sea can bring «unpleasant surprises» after stormy weather.

Kherson Oblast

On the evening of April 8, russian aviation dropped a bomb on an elevator in Beryslav, Kherson Oblast, the building was destroyed. There was also an attack on the village of Lviv — the administrative building and about five houses of local residents were damaged. 

The occupiers carried out airstrikes on the villages of Olgyne and Tomaryne. There are no casualties or injuries.

During the day, the russian army shelled the settlements of Beryslav, Novooleksandrivka, Mylove and Tyagyne communities. The grain terminal, residential buildings and commercial structures of people were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.

At night, the russian military shelled Komyshany, there were no casualties or injuries. During the past day, the russian army attacked the Kherson community 16 times, using 63 shells. They shelled in Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Inzhenerne, Zelenivka, Korabelny district in Kherson.

In the temporarily occupied Skadovsk, the russian military is interviewing local residents about evacuation to Crimea and checking the presence of a russian passport. They say that civilians will be forcibly evicted from the end of April.

On the left bank of the Kherson Oblast, the russian military promises people to provide housing certificates and medical policies if they receive a russian passport.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Activists, including children, came to the protest with posters “moscow henchmen are sitting here”, “FSB in cassocks, holy Easter for you”, “Bloody willow from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the moscow patriarchate” and others.

From April 3 to April 7, more than 1400 food and household kits were distributed in Dnipro to IDPs from Luhansk Oblast. A beekeeper from Sievierodonetsk resumed his business in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. At home, Roman Burdzanadze had an apiary for more than 200 families. He received a government grant to buy new hives and bees. He was unable to take anything out of his hometown. All the bees, hives, and other equipment worth about UAH 2 million remained in Sievierodonetsk. Two other IDPs work together with Roman.

In Kryvyi Rih, more than 500 green spaces were planted near the city hospital No. 2. The event was held with the participation of the Kryvyi Rih Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the support of the city’s industrial enterprises.

Cherkasy Oblast

In village of Lebedyn, the Shpola community honored the fallen soldier Petro Marochkanych, who was killed in action in Donetsk Oblast. A memorial plaque was installed on the facade of Lebedyn Gymnasium No. 3, where he studied, in memory of the hero.

In Khrystynivka, the church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the moscow patriarchate has moved to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. This decision was made by the participants of the meeting, and 110 parishioners voted in favor.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Zakarpattia Oblast

Today, Zakarpattia is among the three leaders in terms of growth in personal income tax revenues and funds to the general fund of local budgets compared to the first quarter of last year. In total, since the beginning of 2023, more than UAH 2.5 billion of taxes, fees, and other revenues have been mobilized to the general fund of local budgets.

This week, the Uzhhorod Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center traditionally distributed the necessary items to IDPs registered in the city: 100 food packages; 50 hygiene kits; 80 packages with essentials for children under 2 years old. In addition, people could get clothes, bedding, dishes, etc. Volunteers have already distributed about 4,200 items in a week.
