Northern oblasts

Kyiv

While inspecting the territory of the Mezhyhirya forestry in the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv, pyrotechnics found the remnants of a Grad multiple rocket launcher (MLRS), including what was left of a non-combat part of the projectile.

Four Mercedes buses were delivered to the Ukrainian capital by the transport companies of Hamburg and Halle. In the near future, they will go on Kyiv’s routes.

Kyiv Oblast

Today, in the Boryspil and Bucha raions, sappers of the State Emergency Service were busy destroying explosive ordnance.

The dismantling of two damaged high-rise buildings in the SMU microdistrict in Irpin will begin next week. These are the buildings at 158 and 160/1 Severynivska Street, which are not subject to restoration.

In Irpin, demolition of private houses that were destroyed during hostilities in the city continues. 60 such

7 tons of construction materials were transferred from Lviv to Irpin. They will be used to rebuild private houses damaged as a result of hostilities.

Zhytomyr Oblast

Employees of the “Zhytomyrteplokomunenergo” utility company donated three drones to the military of the 95th Detached Assault Brigade. People had been raising money for the drones for a month, transferring one day’s salary for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On April 13, a French Arian-5 rocket with a drawing by Yaryna Zakaliuzhna, a resident of Zhytomyr, who won an international competition, is due to be launched into space. The drawing depicts the planet Earth handing over a ship to Jupiter to explore it, while its satellites watch what is happening.

Chernihiv Oblast

On April 13, russians shelled the Semenivka community in the Chernihiv Oblast, probably from tube artillery. The military recorded 15 hits in the area of the village of Halahanivka. There were no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) found two caches of russian ammunition in the border area of the Chernihiv Oblast. As a result of operational actions in an abandoned building near one of the military facilities, they found 21 artillery shells of 30 mm caliber, combat grenades, and 800 cartridges for small arms.

In Chernihiv, on April 12, the State Ecological Inspectorate, together with scientists and city residents, planted 27 Shevchenko oak saplings on the bank of the Stryzhen river, opposite the registry office. The planting was dedicated to the Environment Day, and this place will be called the “Alley of Invincibility”.

Sumy Oblast

During the day of April 12, the russian military shelled five border communities in the Sumy Oblast, namely: the Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda, Seredyna-Buda, Myropillia, and Esman ones. A total of 75 mortar, artillery and MLRS hits were recorded. A gas station in the Esman community was damaged as a result of the artillery shelling. Two private households were damaged in the Myropillia community.

In the morning of April 13, the russian military fired mortars and automatic grenade launchers at the Bilopillia and Nova Sloboda communities. A total of 61 hits were recorded.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy massively shelled settlements in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Bohodukhiv raions.

According to the updated data from the Oblast Emergency Medical Assistance Center, a 71-year-old man was killed and a 75-year-old man was seriously wounded and later died in the hospital as a result of the shelling of the Dvorichna urban-type settlement in the Kupiansk Raion. A 63-year-old woman was hospitalized with blast injuries.

In the village of Sotnytskyi Kozachok in the Bohodukhiv Raion, 2 private houses were damaged. A private house and a tractor were damaged in the village of Ivashky.

In the village of Kucherivka, Kupiansk Raion, a private household was damaged, and a fire broke out.

The shelling of the village of Hatyshche, Chuhuiv Raion, damaged the building of an educational institution.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Over the last day, pyrotechnics neutralized 117 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk Oblast, the occupiers have intensified inspections, increased the number of checkpoints and patrols. Thus, they are trying to hide information about the location of the russian army.

In just one day, the russians killed 1 resident of the Donetsk Oblast and wounded 2 more.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have taken the lives of 1,465 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast and wounded another 3,382 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the middle of the night, the Russians attacked Sloviansk with S-300 missiles. A school and the building of the municipal water supply were hit, and 4 apartment buildings and 3 private houses were also damaged.

The project “1000 drones for Ukraine” was presented in Kramatorsk. The first quadcopters, along with other aid, were handed over to the Ukrainian military.

More than six thousand Easter cakes a day are baked at the bakery in Kostiantynivka. This year, the bakery is making such pastries for the first time. Before the full-scale invasion, Easter cakes were made only in the Druzhkivka bakery shop.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Severne, Maryinka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk Oblast. The fiercest fighting continues for Maryinka. Fifteen settlements came under fire.

One person was wounded and 26 private houses were damaged in Kurakhivka. Two more houses were damaged in Berestky – the community sustained two Uragan MLRS attacks and one artillery shelling. In the morning, russians shelled the village of Soloviove of the Ocheretyne community with Uragan MLRS.

Over the past day, the “White Angels” police crew evacuated 7 people from frontline Avdiivka, including one person with a disability. As of April 13, 10 people have signed up for evacuation. And from the village of Maksymilianivka in the Maryinka community, police evacuated the last child – a 12-year-old boy, Ivan, who had been living in the basement with his family for about six months.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka direction, shelling was recorded on the outskirts of the communities of Toretsk, Chasiv Yar and Soledar. There is no informatio about the victims.

In the Lysychansk direction, Siversk is affected. A two-story building and several private houses were damaged in the city.

The police were able to evacuate two women and a 5-year-old girl from the front-line city of Siversk. They hid from the shelling of Russian troops in the basement of their private house. They were taken to Sloviansk.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha direction, under shelling, Vuhledar and Novoukrainka. There are no casualties.

Mariupol

Mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko, at the invitation of the American side, spoke in Washington at the Meridian Diplomacy Forum. It is dedicated to Ukrainian municipalities that are working on the reconstruction of cities affected by the war. Vadym Boychenko presented a large-scale plan for the revival of the city – Mariupol Reborn. It is being developed before the de-occupation, so that immediately after the liberation of the city, reconstruction can begin. World architects, urban planners and experts have already joined the development of the Plan.

Luhansk Oblast

During the day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of ​​Bilohorivka. Novoselivske, Nevske, Kuzmine, Pischane, Bilohorivka were subjected to artillery fire.

In Sievierodonetsk, only a few neighborhoods are suitable for living. The occupiers arrange a demonstration of restoration of high-rise buildings there. In total, 80% of Sievierodonetsk was destroyed. 60% of the houses cannot be rebuilt.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy attacked Ochakiv with an anti-aircraft missile system. Damage information is being updated. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanska raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Denmark allocated money for the restoration of the trauma center in Mykolaiv, which was destroyed by russian shelling. This was announced by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen during his visit to the city on April 12.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, on April 12, the russian military shelled the civilian infrastructure in the area of ​​19 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast: three times it was attacked by aircraft, one time it was used by anti-aircraft missiles, 13 times by drones, and 44 times by artillery.

Russian troops carried out three airstrikes on the private sector, high-rise buildings and a factory in Orichiv, Zaporizhzhia. Information about the consequences of shelling is currently being established.

A russian mine exploded on the territory of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP near the engine room of the 4th power unit, Energoatom reported.

Odessa Oblast

A year ago, the Ukrainian military fired missiles at the russian cruiser Moskva. After hitting the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet of russia, a fire broke out. It began to sink and went to the bottom. 

In Odesa, a man was detained who was correcting the attacks of “shaheeds” in the city. The informant turned out to be a radio mechanic of one of the Odesa factories of the military-industrial complex. The man distributed in the telegram group data about the locations of the defense enterprise and the units of the Armed Forces near it, as well as information about the enterprise’s execution of defense orders.

Kherson Oblast

During April 12, the russian army fired heavy artillery, drones and aircraft at the Kherson Oblast 46 times, at Kherson five times. Shells hit residential quarters and the territory of the plant in the regional center. One person died, two were injured.

Today, the russian army hit Zmiivka in the Kherson Oblast with guided aerial bombs, and the school building was damaged. According to preliminary information, one person died, one was injured.

A 45-year-old man also died during the morning shelling of a park in the Dnipro district of Kherson. One more man was wounded in the village of Mykilske of the Dariivka community.

Near Velyka Oleksandrivka, the construction of a temporary bridge over Ingulets is being completed. 

On Environment Day in Kherson, an avenue of oak trees was planted in the Korabelny district. They were grown by forest protection workers of the Cherkasy Oblast from the acorns of the Tarasov oak tree and handed over to the people of Kherson. 

Central oblasts

Dnopropetrovsk Oblast

Another enterprise was evacuated to the oblast. This time it is a dairy farm from the outskirts of Bakhmut. A farmer from the Dnipro district provided a free vehicle to rescue cattle directly from shelling. He also provided premises. Over the past two days, almost 400 animals were transported there from the war zone. Since the beginning of the war, the Dnipropetrovsk oblast has already accepted dozens of relocated enterprises from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv oblasts.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Military personnel of the 3rd separate special regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave conducted tactical and special training. They worked out the elements of combat in the conditions of urban development, stormed and cleared buildings in cooperation with a fire support group, used aerial reconnaissance, etc.

More than 36,000 hryvnias were collected at a charity concert in the Oleksandria community. A theatrical concert “When the cranes will fly” was held there, dedicated to the tragedy at the Alexandria airfield: on April 15 last year, it was attacked by the enemy, 12 servicemen were injured, six of them died. On stage, the audience was able to see the real stories of our soldiers and ordinary people related to the war. The collected funds will be transferred to the volunteer coordination center.

Cherkasy Oblast

Cherkasy residents have developed new drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They will perform the function of the kamikaze and scout drones. It took 10 months to implement the project. The developers wanted drones to be able to bypass the invaders’ electronic warfare forces. The cost of the drone is $1,200. The plan is to produce five “Cherkasy Shaheds” per day.

An exhibition of helmets painted with scenes of the russian-Ukrainian war will be opened in the Cherkasy museum on the anniversary of the sinking of the cruiser “moskva”. The idea was implemented by 9 artists from Uman. 15 soviet-type army helmets are united by an inscription – “address” for a russian warship. The first two such products were sold for $11,000 at an auction in the USA, and the proceeds went to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Three helmets from Cherkasy were sent to Istanbul to the owners of the well-known company “Baykar”.

A charity concert of the folk-rock band “Krutyi Zamis” from Kholodnyi Yar took place in Cherkasy. The musicians collected UAH 12,300 with their performance. The funds were handed over to the head of the Cherkasy City Institute, where engineers assemble drones – “birds for the military.”

Vinnytsia Oblast

Khmilnyk and Khmilnyk Raion

The families of the National Guard servicemen from the Kalynivka community who fell in battles with the russian invaders were presented with orders “For Courage” of the III and II degrees. The awards were given to the families of lieutenant colonel Ihor Selidbovskyi, lieutenant Oleksandr Hlushko, senior soldier Ivan Fedorenko, and soldier Dmytro Leshchenko.

The first two thousand paskas [traditional Easter cakes] were sent by the residents of the Kalinivka community, Khmilnyk Raion, to the East of Ukraine. They will be handed over to the Ukrainian soldiers who are currently defending their homeland from the russian invaders.

Poltava Oblast

In Poltava, the fallen Hero of Ukraine, participant of the russian-Ukrainian war Vitalii “Gogol” Hrytsaenko was commemorated. A memorial plaque was installed on the facade of school No. 20, where he studied.

In Poltava, the Center for Helping the Rescued was opened. It has been running in test mode for several days. Here, IDPs and residents of Poltava can receive free social and psychological support from six specialists, including a psychologist and a lawyer.

The reception of proposals from Poltava residents regarding the renaming of third-tier streets in the Poltava community will soon begin. 65 toponyms in honor of russian and soviet artists and scientists are planned to be changed. Among them are Gorky, Dostoevsky, Krylov, Lermontov, Mendeleev, Pushkin and other streets.

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, a volunteer workshop has been organized in the Kvasyliv Lyceum in the office of labor training. Students help weave kikimoras [disguise costumes] in their spare time. Flags, blankets and pillows were also sewn in the workshop. Later, volunteers began to produce ammunition for the military, because some of the graduates of the educational institution and fellow villagers serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. IDPs are also involved in tailoring.

An Easter fair was organized in Rivne to raise money for a drone for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Charity fairs were held at five locations in the city. The housewives of the oblast participated in baking paskas for the fair. Many entrepreneurs contributed products. Many paskas were baked in ovens. These are real, traditional Easter cakes, made according to old Ukrainian recipes. At the fair, money is being collected for the “Kazhan” attack drone.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Communal workers of Kamianets-Podilskyi will asphalt the Alley of the central cemetery. The mayor also instructed them to constantly look after the graves of fallen soldiers, flagpoles, and to work out the issue of arranging the entrance to the church on the territory of the cemetery.

A new volunteer project is being implemented in Kamianets-Podilskyi. With the consent of relatives of the fallen defenders, the story of the warrior’s life can be viewed in augmented reality by scanning the QR from the memorial board in a special application.

The regional coordinator of the AUI “Active Community” in Kamianets-Podilskyi, Slavko Poliatynchuk, as a member of the newly created initiative group, arranged the place allocated by the city council for the “Oath 1919” monument, which the parishioners of the nearby cathedral use for parking.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Chernivtsi Oblast Perinatal Center received charitable assistance – an electric generator. It will ensure uninterrupted operation of the facility in case of power outages. The cargo came from the Office of the President of Ukraine, the State Property Fund of Ukraine, the Charity Organization “280 DAYS”, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Charity Fund “UAIM Humanitarian Fund”.

Food sets, drinks, hygiene products for children and adults, warm clothes and T-shirts, sets of kitchen utensils – this is the humanitarian aid received by the Chernivtsi Oblast Organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine to internally displaced people and citizens of Bukovyna who are in trouble. Volunteers of the organization handed out humanitarian packages in 10 settlements.

Parents, teachers and students of the Petrashiv Lyceum, Hertsa community, initiated and organized a charity event. On the eve of Easter, they put together large gift sets, which included traditional paskas, other local authentic holiday pastries, Easter ggs, smoked meats, sweets, personal care products, etc. With such gifts, teachers visited wounded soldiers undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in a local hospital.

Zakarpattia Oblast

More than 100 members of “Plast” [Ukrainian Scout Movement] from Uzhhorod and Mukachevo celebrated the 111th anniversary of the first “Plast” oath. About 30 young people took the oath that day.

The first IT co-working space at the Uzhgorod National University was opened today at the Faculty of Information Technologies. The laboratory is equipped with computers, a multimedia board, a projector and other technical means. The main goal is to support students and scientists in their research and development, to create a favorable atmosphere for the exchange of knowledge and ideas between teachers and students.
