On the night of April 28, the enemy tried to attack Kyiv. The attack was carried out by strategic aircraft. In the airspace of Kyiv, 11 cruise missiles were destroyed. In addition to the missiles, 2 UAVs were shot down. The falling debris damaged a local power line and the road surface in the Obolon district of the capital. There were no civilian casualties or damage to residential buildings or infrastructure.
President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel and President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová arrived in Ukraine. On Sophia Square in Kyiv, they laid flowers at the memorial of the Oath of the Czech Society of 1914. They have scheduled meetings with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

A multi-storey building in Ukrainka, Kyiv Oblast, was damaged by an enemy missile fragment, and a 13-year-old girl was injured. Work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the missile fragments hitting an apartment on the 5th floor. Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration, visited Ukrainka. Following the visit, Ruslan Kravchenko set the task to start dismantling the facade of the damaged part of the building, conduct an instrumental survey, develop design-and-estimate documentation as soon as possible, and promptly begin major repairs of the damaged apartments and the house.
Today, explosive devices were destroyed in the Vyshhorod and Bila Tserkva raions.
As part of their visit to Ukraine, President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel and President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová visited Borodianka in the Kyiv Oblast.
Another 20 destroyed private houses ruined during the hostilities in Irpin have been dismantled. The works are funded by the Government of Japan within the framework of cooperation with the Irpin City Council and UNDP. 80 private houses have already been dismantled in the city. A total of up to 130 houses are planned to be dismantled there.

On April 27, the russians shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast. 30 hits in the area of the Semenivka settlement, 19 hits in the area of the Gremiach settlement, five hits in the area of the Bleshnia settlement, and four hits in the area of the Halahanivka settlement were recorded. During April 27, russian soldiers shelled the border communities of the Sumy Oblast 27 times. Territorial communities of Seredyno-Buda, Znob-Novgorodske, Esman, Shalygine, Svessa, Bilopilsk, Yunakivka, Khotyn and Myropillia came under fire. In total, more than 130 hits from mortars, artillery, grenade launchers, as well as rocket launches from russian territory were recorded. As a result of shelling of the Esman community, three residential buildings were damaged.
Yesterday the russian occupiers continued shelling the border and front-line settlements of the Kharkiv, Chuguiv and Kupiansk raions of the Oblast.
In particular, Lyptsi, Buhaivka, Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, Kamianka, Petropavlivka, Dvorichna, Lyman Pershiy and other towns and villages were under enemy fire.
Three private houses and a 2-story apartment building were damaged as a result of shelling of the village of Lyptsi of the Kharkiv Raion with mortars.
In the village of Petropavlivka of the Kupiansk Raion, shelling damaged private homes, destroyed a garage and a tractor. There were no casualties.
Mine danger remains high. Yesterday, in the village of Tokarivka of the Kharkiv Raion, during work on the restoration of power lines, the “Kharkivoblenergo” car blew up on an explosive object. The car driver died on the spot. Four workers were injured. One of the wounded is in serious condition, the condition of the others is moderate.
Over the past day, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service inspected almost 14 hectares of territory and neutralized 75 explosive objects.
The occupiers staged a provocation with shelling of Donetsk after a rocket attack on Uman. In particular, Universitetska Street, the Olimpiyskiy Regional Sport Complex district and the Park of Forged Figures came under fire. The projectile also hit the bus stop where there was a minibus with passengers. According to preliminary data, seven people died. The occupiers and propagandist Kremlin media have traditionally accused the Armed Forces of Ukraine. But in local chats they write that they heard the launches and after 3-4 seconds they hit.
The “administration” of the temporarily occupied Horlivka of the Donetsk Oblast plans to take all schoolchildren to russia at the end of the school year. The russians intend to transport the children on the basis of “evacuation”, the parents will have to go to the russian federation as well.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
Over the past day, the occupiers used artillery and rockets to attack Kostiantynivka. Industrial zones, houses and medical facilities were damaged. One person was wounded by shelling in the Oblast, there were no casualties.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
Yesterday, in the east of the Pokrovsk Raion, the russian occupiers hit the civilian population with aircraft, S-300 air defense systems, Iskander-K OTRC, Uragan and Grad MRLS, artillery, and tanks.
Enemy shells hit the cities of Avdiivka, Kurakhove, the town of Ocheretyne, the villages of Karlivka, Khromove.
The founder of the French charitable foundation “Team4UA” Jean Christian Bonis came to Pokrovsk. The purpose of the visit is to inspect the use of the assistance provided by the foundation to the residents of the community and to learn about their needs on the spot.
Representatives of a French non-governmental humanitarian organization visited Pokrovsk. It provides assistance to the population affected by conflicts and violence, epidemics, natural or climatic disasters, and economic crises. It meets the basic needs of people in food, clean drinking water, warm shelter, personal hygiene items and kits.
During the meeting, the representatives of the international organization were introduced to the life of the community, the population, the needs of local residents and internally displaced persons. The parties agreed on further cooperation in resolving humanitarian issues.

The enemy tried to advance in the area of Dibrova and Serebrianske Forestry, but encountered resistance from the Defense Forces and was forced to stop their attempts. In Zaporizhzhia, the prosecutor’s office appealed to the court to oblige hospitals to put in order shelters that are in poor condition and are not able to protect staff, patients and visitors during air alarms.
In the center of Odesa, the flag of Ukraine was unfurled, which travels around the regions within the framework of the campaign “Everything is Ukraine. Everything is victory. Everything is the Armed Forces of Ukraine”. It is signed in each of oblasts. A flag measuring 12×6 meters started its journey from Mount Hoverla. It was sent to Odesa from the Mykolaiv Oblast. The organizers of the action plan that de-occupied Crimea should be the last point where they will unfurl this flag.
During April 27, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 61 times, Kherson – 6 times.
In the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Oblast, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 12 russian military units and 14 units of russian equipment, including unmanned aerial vehicles and 4 artillery installations, from which the right bank of the Dnipro River was shelled.
The russian army attacked Kherson and Inzhenerne during the night from April 27 to 28. The enemy also shelled summer cottages on the island and left-bank part of the Kherson community. In total, during the day, the russian military shelled the territory of the community 10 times. Hits were recorded in Kherson, Inzhenerne, Komyshany and Antonivka. One person died, another was injured.
As a result of russian shelling, two fires broke out in the Kherson Oblast. In Kizomys, an outbuilding near the houses caught fire. In Beryslav, a projectile hit an apartment. The fires were extinguished. There were no casualties or injuries.
At night, the russians attacked the city of Dnipro. A 2-year-old girl and her 31-year-old mother were killed. Another 7 cruise missiles were shot down over the oblast by air defense forces. A 58-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman were taken to the hospital in a moderate condition. A 31-year-old and a 70-year-old woman will be treated on an outpatient basis. One private house was destroyed, several others were damaged. In the city, enemy artillery also destroyed the building of a private enterprise. There was a fire there. The construction facility was also burned. The flames covered 400 square meters. In one of the districts, a warehouse building with an area of 600 square meters was destroyed.
In addition, during the night, the enemy shelled the Chervonohryhorivka community in the Nikopol Raion. An agricultural enterprise was damaged, and 700 poultry died.
At night, the russians attacked the Cherkasy Oblast with cruise missiles. A 9-story residential building and warehouses were hit in Uman. So far, 21 dead are known, including children.
In Cherkasy, three days of mourning were announced for the victims of the attack on the Uman high-rise building.

The Security Service of Ukraine stopped the work of 8 more escape channels of “evaders” abroad, in particular in the Poltava Oblast. A total of 10 people were exposed. A taxman from Kremenchuk was arrested in the Poltava Oblast, who sold fake medical certificates stating that the person was unfit for military service due to his health. The criminal took $4,500 for his services. Perpetrators face imprisonment for 5 to 10 years.

In the Rivne Oblast, a new specialized obstacle course was created for training units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which includes more than a dozen tests and simulates situations that may arise on the front line. In this way, the commander learns to lead his unit on the battlefield.
