Kyiv

Pyrotechnicians of the “Kyiv Rescue Service” discovered remnants of “Hail” ammunition on the territory of Sviatoshyn Forestry. On May 1, five pyrotechnicians during the day examined about 0.5 hectares of the territory of Sviatoshyn Forestry, where parts of the ammunition of the “Grad” MLRS were discovered.

A sports event in support of prisoners from «Azovstal» will be held in Kyiv. On May 5, the «Azov» brigade will celebrate the ninth anniversary of the creation of the unit. Charitable fund «District No. 1» will help Irpin to rebuild a part of the private sector on Bagirova Street and Gostomelsky highway. The corresponding memorandum on cooperation was signed by Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn and co-founder of the fund Andriy Kopilenko.

A police department rebuilt after russian shelling was opened in Irpin, Kyiv Oblast. It was this department that became a shelter for about a hundred local residents during the russian offensive on the city in March 2022. On May 2, a memorial square was also opened near the updated police department in Irpin, the raion police officer Serhiy Blizniuk, who died as a result of russian aggression.

Inspectors of the Municipal Guard of Irpin train the participants of the military-patriotic game «Jura» to evacuate the wounded from the firing zone. Training will last for a week. During the classes, the participants of «Jura» together with the Munwarts will practice team actions, distribution of responsibilities, speed of decision-making under stress, stages of assistance, use of voice contact, tactics of providing assistance «under fire», technique of moving the wounded, fire cover of the area of ​​assistance assistance and evacuation. And they will also apply in the field the knowledge of tactical medicine obtained in the past classes according to the MARCH algorithm.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In the forest on the territory of the Malyn community of the Zhytomyr Oblast, a modern cartridge element from the «Uragan» anti-aircraft missile system was found. Rescuers were called in to extricate him.

A program of financial payments for war-affected families with children who have lost one or both breadwinners will be launched in Zhytomyr Oblast. As part of the program, the amount of financial assistance will be 2,220 hryvnias for each family member, but not more than five people.

Chernihiv Oblast

During May 1 and on the night of May 2, russian troops continued shelling the border areas of Chernihiv Oblast. The communities of Novgorod-Siversk, Semenivka and Snovsk came under fire. The border guards recorded six shellings from different types of weapons: two rockets fired from a russian aircraft, four explosions from anti-aircraft missiles, five bursts of 120 mm mines and 16 explosions from artillery shells.

On May 2, russian troops shelled five more border settlements of Chernihiv Oblast. Novgorod-Siversk, Semenivka and Horodnya communities came under fire. As a result of the shelling of the city of Semenivka, a residential building caught fire. According to preliminary data, two local residents were injured. As a result of the shelling of the village of Girsk, seven residential buildings and one farm building were damaged. Also, one farm building was completely destroyed.

Sumy Oblast

During yesterday’s day, settlements of Bilopillia, Yunakivka, Shalygyne, Seredyna-Buda communities of Sumy Oblast were shelled from russian territory. 139 explosions were recorded.

During the night and morning of May 2, the russian military carried out 6 shellings of the Sumy Oblast border. About 20 explosions were recorded. Settlements of Nova Sloboda, Yunakivka, Shalygyne, Bilopillia and Seredyna-Buda communities came under fire. In the Seredyna-Buda community, there is the destruction of an educational institution, infrastructure, two private houses and damage to an apartment building.

In the afternoon, the russians shelled the village of Budivelne, Shostka raion. No information was received about losses among the local population or damage to civil infrastructure.

In Sumy Oblast, on the afternoon of May 1, a tractor that went to the field for work was blown up by a mine. The tractor driver received injuries to his arms and legs.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblasts

Yesterday, the enemy continued terrorist attacks on the settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupyansk raions of the region.

A 65-year-old man was wounded and hospitalized as a result of shelling in Kucherivka village of Kupyansk raion. Three private houses, outbuildings and vehicles were damaged in the village.

A 57-year-old man was wounded in Vovchansk, Chuguiv raion. He was hospitalized in a moderate condition.

In the village of Vilkhuvatka, Kharkiv raion, a private house and an outbuilding were damaged by shelling.

Mine clearance of the de-occupied territories continues. Over the past day, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service examined more than 12 hectares of territory and defused 167 explosive devices.

Residents of another settlement in the Kharkiv Oblast, where there has been no electricity supply since March 2022 due to the actions of the invaders, have received electricity. Repair work on the power lines supplying Slatyno village in Kharkiv raion, where about 2,000 people live, has been underway since January this year. Following the de-mining carried out by pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service, Kharkivoblenergo repair teams have completed a huge amount of work – completely replacing substations and about 100 poles destroyed by the enemy and restoring about 40 km of the network.

Donetsk Oblast

Occupants continued to focus their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka directions – 41 enemy attacks were repelled. Bakhmut and Maryinka remain at the epicenter of the fighting, and our soldiers are holding the line.

Since February 24, 2022, russians have killed 1487 civilians in Donetsk Oblast and wounded 3457 more. The number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

A school, 14 multi-story buildings, a hospital and a children’s rehabilitation center were damaged as a result of the night shelling of Kramatorsk. A guard was wounded, his condition is not serious.

In Kramatorsk, as part of the ongoing repair of Vasyl Stus Street, the municipal enterprise “DRUAS” specialists repaired the damage caused by a missile attack by russia on February 2. Then the russian army launched two missile strikes on the center of Kramatorsk. They hit residential buildings. Six people were injured as a result.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

In the Avdiyivka sector, the enemy conducted offensive actions in the vicinity of Severne and Pervomaiske but did not succeed. He conducted an air strike on Avdiyivka. He fired at Lastochkino, Severne, Pervomayske and Karlivka in the Donetsk Oblast.

In the Maryinka sector, the enemy continues to attack the positions of the defense forces. Fighting for Maryinka continues. Heorhiivka in the Donetsk Oblast also came under enemy fire.

The russian army shelled Avdiivka with artillery, the city suffered two massive shelling attacks – shells hit three streets.

Kurakhove came under fire three times, damaging an agricultural enterprise.

A dormitory for IDPs is being arranged in Pokrovsk. With the support of ADRA Ukraine, comfortable conditions for temporary accommodation of internally displaced persons will be created in one of the city dormitories. Currently, the building is undergoing repair work: the doors have been replaced, the roof is covered, and the heating system is being repaired. It is planned to overhaul 15 rooms in the IDP hostel to accommodate families with children who were forced to leave their homes.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

The enemy continues to conduct offensive actions in the Bakhmut direction. Fighting continues in the town of Bakhmut. In addition, during the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the direction of Predtechine. He launched an air strike on Bakhmut and Bila Hora. Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Kostiantynivka, Diliyivka and Pivdenne in Donetsk Oblast suffered from enemy shelling.

Verkhnekamianske and Spirne in the Donetsk Oblast came under enemy artillery fire.

Mariupol

The occupiers are forcing Mariupol schoolchildren to write letters of gratitude to the russian occupiers. Teachers have provided a template according to which each student must thank for the “special military operation”. And this should be written by children, many of whom have lost loved ones, relatives or friends to russian shelling.

The head of the terrorist state, vladimir putin, sitting in the kremlin, remotely launched transport in the temporarily occupied city. World War II veterans were brought to the territory of the MTTU and seated to thank the murderer. Behind them are trams purchased in Ukrainian Mariupol, which were simply slightly updated and repainted.

Luhansk Oblast

In one of the settlements of Luhansk Oblast occupants are digging trenches under the guise of water supply works – they are preparing to defend themselves.

The enemy fired over 400 times in the Luhansk region yesterday. Also, according to the spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty, 29 occupants were killed and 84 wounded in this sector of the frontline over the last day.

In the Donetsk Oblast, Makiivka, Dibrova, Bilohorivka and Heorhiivka came under enemy artillery fire.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, on May 1, the enemy attacked the village of the Kutsurub community with MLRS. As a result of the shelling, two people were injured and private houses were damaged. After the shelling, the settlement was cut off from electricity, gas, water, and the Internet.

On the night of May 2, the enemy fired mortar shells at the water area of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka Raions, the day and night were relatively calm.

Mykolaiv artist and illustrator Yulia Polishchuk created a postcard “Greetings from Bashtanka” dedicated to the defense and battle for the city. The illustration was presented in April at the Bashtanka Museum of Local Lore.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, on May 1, russian troops fired at 15 localities in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. In particular, they carried out air strikes, attacked three times with UAVs, and used artillery 51 times. Four people were injured. There were 27 reports of destruction of civilian houses (apartments) and infrastructure as a result of shelling by russian military.

In the temporarily occupied settlements of the Polohiv Raion of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the russian military banned the entry of civilians without local registration.

Today, on May 2, an explosion occurred in the temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, injuring a police officer who had cooperated with the russians and was appointed deputy head of the so-called Department of Internal Affairs of the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Kherson Oblast

On May 2, 2023, russian troops shelled Kherson and villages in the Bilozerska community from the air. Preliminary, seven residents of the oblast were injured. Civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, commercial premises, and vehicles, was damaged. The prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings.

On May 1, the russian army shelled settlements of five communities in the Beryslav district. They include Osokorivka, Stepne, Novooleksandrivka, Zolota Balka, Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Burhunka and Tiahynka. The building of houses of culture, residential buildings, and outbuildings were damaged. No one was killed or injured.

366 children have been evacuated from the settlements of Kherson Oblast, which are shelled daily by the russian military. 137 children were evacuated from Kherson Oblast, 131 from Beryslav Raion, 69 from Kherson suburbs and 29 from two villages in Kakhovka Raion. Families with children still remain in dangerous areas.

Over the past day, russian troops struck Ivanivske, Kozatske, Osokorivka, Zolota Balka, Kachkarivka, Respublikanets, Vesele, Odradokamianka, Tyahyntsi, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Beryslav, and Kherson.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

As a result of yesterday’s enemy shelling of Pavlohrad, 48 people were injured. Among them are six children.

On the night of May 2, russian troops shelled Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. No one was killed or injured. The consequences of the attack are being investigated.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Soldiers of the 3rd separate regiment of Special Forces named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave conducted tactical and special training exercises to practice combat elements in urban areas. In particular, they stormed and cleared buildings in cooperation with a fire support group, and used aerial reconnaissance and other elements of combat.

Kirovograd Oblast businessmen raised money and purchased a car and a Starlink for the military. The regional administration reported that the “NIKA” agro-industrial company raised money for a car for the territorial defense military. The private enterprise “Vlad” raised money and purchased a Starlink system.

The Kropyvnytskyi firefighters are part of a consolidated unit performing combat missions in the Kharkiv Oblast. Volunteers from Cherkasy make attack and reconnaissance drones for the military. The team has been working on the project for ten months. There is a constant demand for drones, so to meet the needs of the soldiers as quickly as possible, the volunteers began to construct them themselves.

Poltava Oblast

SBU cyber specialists jointly with the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine blocked a center used by the aggressor for subversive activities against Ukraine. The organizers were detained. They were two residents of Poltava and Kharkiv Oblasts. According to intelligence, the offenders received hundreds of “orders” daily and received money through prohibited payment systems. Among the “regular” customers were russian citizens.

The Galician city hospital received charitable assistance from the German Medical Aid Organization. Also in February, expensive equipment, materials, and toys were brought from Germany to the children’s city hospital. The hospital received a LigaSure electrosurgical apparatus and optics for urological and laparoscopic surgeries in children.

IDPs have opened a dairy farm in Poltava Oblast, where they produce craft cheese. After moving from Donetsk Oblast, the family rented premises and started working. Later, the family received a grant, purchased new equipment, and began producing craft cheeses, which they sell in their own and neighboring villages.

Western Oblasts

Chernivtsi Oblast

The Hertsaiv community received charitable aid. It includes food, personal hygiene products, adult and baby diapers, a generator, 3 refrigerators, washing machines, and microwave ovens. The charity cargo came from the Chernivtsi regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

The Chernivtsi Regional Diagnostic Center received a modern ambulance from the Volunteer Movement of Bukovyna Charitable Foundation. The special vehicle came from partners from Italy – the non-governmental organization “CUAMM”, which cooperates with Bukovyna volunteers and the Chernivtsi Regional Council. So now the municipal institution will create mobile teams of doctors who will travel to communities and examine people.

Almost two tons of food, sweets, household chemicals, hygiene products, and a stove were delivered by volunteers of the Kamianske community to Kherson Oblast. The cargo was taken to the village of Kyselivka of the Chornobaiv community, which is in a humanitarian crisis.

Zakarpattia Oblast

At a public hearing today, the renaming of 5 more streets in Uzhhorod was supported. The supported proposals will be prepared for consideration at the session of the Uzhhorod City Council.

The Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center in Uzhhorod provides medical and psychological assistance to internally displaced persons and local residents. Since the end of March, more than one and a half hundred people have sought medical care, including three dozen who have seen a psychologist.
