Northern oblasts
Kyiv
On June 5, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, Pope Francis’ envoy for peace in Ukraine, will arrive in Kyiv on a peace mission to try to help end the war.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko held a meeting with the heads of the capital’s districts. They discussed the results of the inspection of shelters in the capital by the commission consisting of representatives of the State Emergency Service, the police, district state administrations, and city services. As of the morning of June 5, more than 1,600 shelters were checked in the capital.
A patriotic mural “Zaporizhzhia Avenger” is being created in Podil, dedicated to the National Guard of Ukraine. The mural has a special QR code that can be used to donate money to purchase drones for the Offensive Guard.
Kyiv Oblast
Today, explosive devices were destroyed in the Vyshhorod Raion.
Irpin continues to raise funds for the reconstruction of a children’s and youth sports school. This weekend a charity sports festival “Sport Fest” was held. More than 300 participants joined the event. The organizers prepared a lot of interesting activities for them.
Chernihiv Oblast
On June 5, russian troops shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast. The military recorded four hits, presumably from a 120 mm mortar, near the village of Halahanivka in the Semenivka community. There were no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.
Sumy Oblast
On the evening of June 4, russian troops shelled Seredyna-Buda, Bilokopytove, Baranivka, and Vovkivka in the Shostka Raion, Sumy Oblast. There is no information about injuries or damage.
During the night and morning of June 5, the Russian military conducted 34 attacks on the border communities of the Sumy Oblast. The Bilopillia, Esman, and Seredyna-Buda communities came under fire.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
During the past day, the enemy fired artillery, mortars, and rocket launchers at settlements in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv raions.
This morning, russians shelled Kupiansk. Residential buildings, garages and outbuildings were damaged. There were no casualties.
Yesterday evening, the occupiers launched missile attacks on the city of Chuhuiv from the territory of the russian federation. Houses and outbuildings were damaged. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
A 40-year-old civilian man and a 38-year-old woman were wounded in the village of Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv Raion. Also, the building of the children’s sports school was damaged there.
A wildfire broke out in the forest of the Kupiansk Raion as a result of hostile shelling. A private residential building was damaged in the village of Pishchane, and a 58-year-old woman was wounded.
Donetsk Oblast
On June 4, three residents of Toretsk, Maksymivka, and Novomarkove in the Donetsk Oblast were wounded in the course of russian shelling.
In total, since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,548 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast and wounded another 3,647. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
Over the past day, one person was wounded and one house was damaged in Novomarkove of the Kostiantynivka community as a result of russian shelling.
In the Lysychansk sector, 13 shelling attacks took place in Torske and Zarichne of the Lyman community.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
In the Donetsk sector, sporadic shelling were registered in Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, and the Ocheretyne community over the last day. The Kurakhove community is under fire from artillery and Uragan MLRS. 3 houses were damaged in Petrivka, Selydove community.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
In the Bakhmut sector, russian troops fired 352 times at Ukrainian positions and carried out three air raids.
On June 4, russian troops launched an airstrike with an R-37 missile on Petrivka and damaged three private houses. The russian army also dropped two FAB-250 bombs on Toretsk, wounding one person and damaging the administrative building and a workshop of the enterprise.
A high-rise building and 3 private houses were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community as a result of the shelling.
On June 5, the russian military dropped aerial bombs on Toretsk, wounding three law enforcement officers and three civilians, damaging an educational institution, residential apartment buildings, civilian infrastructure, an administrative building, and bank premises.
Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion
In the Volnovakha direction, a person was wounded in Maksimivka of the Vuhledar community. Vuhledar, Novoukrainka and Prechystivka are under fire.
Luhansk Oblast
Luhansk police seized more than 1.5 thousand explosive items in the liberated territories.

Mykolaiv Oblast
Yesterday, June 4, the enemy fired artillery at the water area of the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties. Also in the evening, as a result of enemy shelling of Ochakiv of the Ochakiv community, residential buildings and an economic building were damaged. There are no casualties.
In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Bashtanska and Voznesensk raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Over the past 24 hours, the russian military shelled 19 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. They attacked from aviation, MLRS and artillery.
Odesa Oblast
In Odesa, a man was detained. He cooperated with russian agents, collecting for them passwords for moving around the city at night and identifying military objects on electronic maps. He faces imprisonment for 15 years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
In Odesa, a photo exhibition dedicated to border guards was opened at the railway station. There are 20 photo stories of military personnel who joined the defense of Ukraine on February 24.
Kherson Oblast
Over the past day, the russian army hit the Kherson Oblast 28 times with mortars, artillery, Grad, drones and aviation. Projectiles hit residential quarters, a factory, and a utility company in the Beryslav Raion . Two people were injured.
At night, the russian army struck six times in the Suvorovsky and Korabelny districts of Kherson and Molodizhne. During the past day, it struck three times on Naddniprianske and Antonivka. Islands and the left bank of the River Dnipro are also under fire. Two residents of the community were injured. High-rise buildings, private houses, cars were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.
Around three o’clock in the morning, russian troops struck the infrastructural facilities of the Kherson State University. As a result, about two dozen residential buildings and two educational institutions were damaged. A 47-year-old woman was injured. The russian military also shelled one of the medical institutions, which housed 135 patients and 44 doctors. There were no casualties or injuries.
In addition, the village of Mykilske near Kherson was attacked with artillery. Residential buildings and a critical infrastructure object were damaged.
This morning, russian troops attacked an enterprise in Kherson. A 55-year-old security guard died.
Russian guided air bombs hit Beryslav. The premises of a private enterprise and about twenty residential buildings were damaged. Two people were injured and hospitalized.
The commission, which inspected the condition of the warehouses in the Novovorontsovka territorial community, came under fire from russian troops. No one was hurt. Now, in the de-occupied Kherson Oblast, about three dozen storage facilities in capital buildings have been opened.
Water supply was restored in Blahovishchenska of the Komyshany Raion. For three weeks, the villagers lived without water due to problems with the purchase and delivery of equipment. Utility workers laid more than 400 meters of water pipe. Currently, 95 households are connected to it.
Central oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
On the night of June 5, russian troops struck Nikopol twice. A church, a private enterprise, nine houses, an outbuilding and power lines were damaged. It passed without casualties. In addition, at night, military personnel from the “East” Air Command shot down the Shahed drone in the sky over the Oblast.
After the rocket strike by the russian military on Pidhorodne on June 3, six wounded are in the Dnipro hospital. Among them are two children, their condition is assessed as moderate. They need further rehabilitation, primarily psychological. The two-story building with 18 apartments, where the rocket landed, was actually destroyed. More than 380 windows were completely broken, 13 private houses were damaged. Currently, experts are examining the two-story building to determine whether it is suitable for further living.
Cherkasy Oblast
Border guard Dmytro Prokhorov from the Cherkasy Oblast was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree. He died as a result of rocket and artillery fire on the first day of the full-scale russian invasion. The defender served as part of the border patrol, which was the first to take the fight. He was 24 years old.
Cherkasy and Kropyvnytskyi city councils signed a memorandum on cooperation in the education sector. This is done to join efforts to improve the level of support for children with special educational needs and to obtain equal access to quality education. The delegation from Kropyvnytskyi plans to adopt the experience of the “Inclusive Resource Center” from Cherkasy, where the early intervention service was introduced for the first time in Ukraine.
Kirovohrad Oblast
In the village of Oleksandrivka (the Kropyvnytskyi Raion), a mural was created in honor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The mural showed a fighter with the call sign “Bear”. He is a resident of Oleksandrivka and has been defending Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war since 2014.
In Kropyvnytskyi, the quest “Historical paths of the city” will be held. The task is to go through 13 locations: each of the following can be found by guessing the previous one. The goal is to learn more about the history of the city of Kropyvnytskyi, to relax and help the Ukrainian army.
Poltava Oblast
Vladyslav Tkachenko took the last battle during the storming of enemy positions in the Donetsk Oblast. Now, signatures are being collected in the Poltava Oblast to award him the title of Hero of Ukraine. The corresponding petition on the website of the President of Ukraine has already received almost 4,000 votes out of the 25,000 needed. The soldier, originally from Horishni Plavni, died during assault operations near Ivanivske in the Donetsk Oblast.

Lviv Oblast

Rivne Oblast
In the Rivne Oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine detained an agent of the belarusian state security committee who was spying on the northern border of Ukraine. He collected data on defense and the movement of military equipment. The detainee has already been informed of the suspicion.
Cars, quadcopters, thermal imagers, radio stations and a lot of other expensive equipment were handed over by the employees of the Rivne NPP to the Ukrainian military at the front. It was possible to purchase all of this with the funds of Rivne NPP workers, which they deducted from their paychecks in May, as well as the funds collected at the three-day charity marathon.
The Integration Space project for internally displaced persons was presented in Rivne. It will be a hub with multifunctional services. There, people will be able to receive legal and psychological counseling, social assistance and humanitarian aid. Algorithms for employment, business relocation or opening a private business will also work separately. The project was made possible thanks to the support of the Rivne Oblast State Administration and the strategic partnership of charitable and public organizations.
365 books for children of the Kherson Oblast were collected by residents of the Rivne Oblast, who joined the all-Ukrainian project “Give a book to a child”. The action was initiated by the Charity Fund “Ukraine. United in diversity.” The volunteers plan to deliver collected books from various regions to the villages on the right bank of the Kherson Oblast that survived the occupation.
Chernivtsi Oblast
All the schools of the Chernivtsi community refused mass celebrations of the last bell and the end of the academic year. Ceremonies will be organized for graduating classes only. For other schoolchildren, meetings with class teachers and field trips will be organized.
Residents of Chernivtsi rode through the city streets on bicycles. At the charity bike ride, money was collected to buy a thermal imager for cyclists on the front lines. Around 200 people participated in the event.
The mobile dental office of the city children’s polyclinic made its first visit to the Koroviia Lyceum. It is equipped with everything necessary to provide dental care services for children of Chernivtsi and the Chernivtsi Raion. To order the service, the educational institution only needs to contact the city children’s polyclinic.
Zakarpattia Oblast
The head of the oblast council presented joint awards to police officers from Zakarpattia who took part in military operations for the liberation of Ukraine. This is a joint award of the Zakarpattia Oblast Council and the Zakarpattia Oblast State Administration – the badge “For the Development of Zakarpattia”.
The employment service has started the application period for receiving a micro-grant for entrepreneurs within the framework of the government program “eRobota: Own Business”. This is the tenth such wave in 2023. Since the beginning of the project, about UAH 5.5 million have already been financed to the grantees of the Zakarpattia Oblast.
In May 2023, Zakarpattia customs sent UAH 1,216.4 million to the main state treasury of Ukraine. This year’s main budget-forming goods, based on the amount of taxes collected from them, are passenger cars, tractors, electric water heaters, fertilizers, trailers and semi-trailers, etc..
