Northern oblasts

Kyiv

About 250 employees of various services were involved in the Kyiv hydroelectric power plant emergency response drills. This is the second large-scale drill in the capital since the beginning of the year to address actions to be taken in case of flooding or damage to hydroelectric facilities.

At night there was an explosion on Malyshko street in the Dniprovskyi district of Kyiv (presumably due to a gas leak). A fire broke out, which has now been extinguished. According to preliminary information, 4 apartments were destroyed and 6 others were damaged. The works are ongoing.

Kyiv Oblast

About 400 thousand hryvnias were allocated today at the session of the Irpin City Council to help the military units in which Irpin residents serve.

Chernihiv Oblast

Late in the evening of June 21, russians shelled the Semenivka community. They fired at the border areas with mortars, tube artillery, and also dropped unguided missiles from helicopters on the border villages.

Today, explosive devices were disposed of by detonation near the village of Shestovytsia.

Sumy Oblast

On June 21, 6 border communities in the Sumy Oblast were shelled from the territory of russia. Private houses in the Bilopillia community and a farm in Velyka Pysarivka were damaged.

Eastern regions

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past day, the russian occupiers shelled the settlements of the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Bohodukhiv raions of the oblast.

The shelling of Vovchansk, Chuhuiv Raion, damaged the buildings of the meat processing plant, residential buildings and outbuildings. Several fires broke out.

In the village of Kruhlyakivka, Kupiansk Raion, 2 private residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged by shelling. A 49-year-old civilian suffered a shrapnel wound and was hospitalized.

A house was damaged in the village of Pylna, Kharkiv Raion.

Two private houses were damaged in the village of Basove, Bohodukhiv Raion.

Demining is ongoing. Over the past day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service inspected almost 10 hectares of territory and defused 87 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, russian troops fired 19 times at 13 settlements in the Donetsk Oblast. The shelling damaged 46 private houses, the administration building of the “emergency medical aid”, a car wash, an outbuilding, a garage, power lines, gas pipelines, and several cars.

On June 21, in the Donetsk Oblast, one person was killed in the town of Chasiv Yar, and five residents of Pokrovsk and one person in Antonivka were wounded as a result of shelling by russian troops.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russians have killed 1,569 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,717 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the early morning of June 22, the russian army shelled Rai-Oleksandrivka in the Mykolaiv community and damaged houses and power lines. Details are being clarified.

In the Lysychansk sector, 3 houses were destroyed in Siversk as a result of artillery shelling and air strikes. One more house was damaged in Torske in the Lyman community.

On June 21, Ukrainian troops in the Lyman sector advanced near Bilohorivka and Dibrova, where they had partial success and are now consolidating their achieved positions.

In Kramatorsk, people with limited mobility receive help from Solidarités International. This charity provided nearly a thousand hygiene kits, which the Kramatorsk Humanitarian Center distributed in the order of priority among those who submitted applications using the “Help for the disabled” form in previous months.

In Kramatorsk, the Animal Treatment Service of one of the city’s communal enterprises continues to sterilize stray cats and dogs free of charge. The company independently engages in both catching and keeping four-legged animals. In addition to sterilization, the animals receive all the necessary vaccinations and, if need be, the required treatment.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

Late in the evening, the russians launched a rocket attack on Pokrovsk, injuring five people, including an 11-year-old boy. About 50 houses were damaged by the blast wave. Specialists of the city’s utility companies have started to close the damaged window blocks (almost 200 pieces). Repair work has also started on slate roofs in more than 30 private households.

Another humanitarian shipment for residents of the Pokrovsk community came from the partners of the “Team4UA” Charitable Foundation. People received 938 food kits.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka direction, the Toretsk community suffered numerous shelling. 49 houses, an administrative building and a school were damaged in Shcherbynivka. A house was destroyed in New York. Three houses in Nykyforivka of the Soledar community and one house in the Chasiv Yar community were also damaged.

Luhansk Oblast

In the Luhansk Oblast, about 5-7% of the territory has already been deoccupied. In particular these are14 settlements. However, it is unknown how many people are currently in the Luhansk Oblast. Mykolaiv Oblast

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, June 21, the russian military shelled 24 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Three people were injured.

Yesterday, June 21, an accident occurred at the sewage pumping station in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk Raion of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. One person died, four are in hospital, two of them are in intensive care.

Tonight, two explosions rang out in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk. Local residents talk about the fire at the recreation center.

In the direction of Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian military shot down a russian Mi-24 attack helicopter.

Nine residents of the temporarily occupied Tokmak of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast will be tried for collaborative activities. They voluntarily agreed to work in the illegal migration department and participate in forced passporting of the local population.

In the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the water level in the lower pool of the Dnipro HPP is 12.59 m, which is 1.91 m below the norm.

Odessa Oblast

At night, three Shahed drones were shot down over the Odesa Oblast. One of them hit the warehouse. The fire was extinguished, there were no injuries.

27 million hryvnias were allocated from the budget of Odesa for the payment of financial aid to citizens whose homes were damaged by russian missiles and drones. The corresponding decision was made at an extraordinary session of the city council.

In 2023, in Odesa, 11 million hryvnias are planned to be spent on the manufacture and installation of tombstones on the graves of soldiers who died in the Ukrainian-russian war.

Odesa agrarians have officially started the 2023 harvest on an area of ​​more than one million hectares. The Odesa Oblast became the first among the oblasts of Ukraine where the new harvest will be harvested.

Kherson Oblast

On June 21, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 79 times. The enemy fired 20 shells over Kherson. Hits were recorded in residential quarters, administrative buildings in Kherson and the Novoraisk community of the Beryslav Raion. Three people were injured.

Today, the russian army shelled Kherson again. Two people were injured in their own yard. Volunteer students from Rivne who were helping Kherson residents also came under fire. They have moderate injuries. It became known about two wounded people in the Bilozerske community.

The occupying “temporary acting governor of the Kherson Oblast” Saldo said that at night the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the Chongar bridge on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea. While traffic on the bridge is suspended, repair work will be carried out. Another hit was recorded on the “old” bridge across Sivash.

In the Kherson Oblast, the water level dropped to 45 cm in the morning. 20 settlements remain flooded: three of them are located on the right bank, 17 – on the left.

As of the morning of June 22, 18 people were known to have died in the Hola Prystan community as a result of russian troops blowing up the Kakhovka HPP. The military administration received such information from local residents, but it is currently impossible to confirm the facts of death due to the occupation.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of June 22, the russian army hit the Kryvyi Rih Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with rockets. 10 private houses, outbuildings, garages and cars were damaged. The gas pipeline, water supply and power lines were broken. The water supply was repaired, but 762 houses are without gas. There were no casualties or injuries.

Russian troops also hit the Nikopol Raion three times. There were no injured. Rescuers are still examining the sites of shelling.

Engineers from Dnipro have developed a thermal imager for the military. Thanks to it, defenders can follow the enemy without exposing yourself to additional danger. The device has a human recognition function at a long distance and a security system.

Kirovohrad Oblast

In Svitlovodsk, a pensioner was convicted who justified russian aggression on her Odnoklassniki social network page. The court sentenced her to three years of imprisonment without confiscation of property and released her from the punishment, setting a one-year probationary period.

In Kropyvnytskyi, Illia Doskalov, a second-grader at the Mria school, collect money for Ukrainian military. The boy spends his summer vacation in a health resort, where he prepared and served master class on making the Cuban mojito drink. His followers took part in the patriotic action. Together, schoolchildren collected UAH 545 for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Poltava Oblast

The fallen soldier of “Centuria” from the Poltava Oblast, Yevhenii Kulyk (call sign “Lisa” – “Fox”) was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree. The defender died in a shooting battle in the Donetsk Oblast. His body was returned as part of the exchange and buried at the central Zinkov cemetery in February.

The exhibition “Angels of Sport” was opened in Poltava. The photo exhibition tells the stories of 200 dead athletes, sport coaches and judges. Among the fallen are three soldiers from the Poltava Oblast: Yevhen Perepelytsia, Maksym Kahal and Artem Osin. The exhibition takes place in the Poltava Art Museum named after Mykola Yaroshenko.

Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Power banks for the military are made from used electronic cigarettes by students of the Khmelnytskyi National University. It takes from 15 to 35 used batteries to create one power bank. Zakarpattia Oblast

The taxpayers of the Zakarpattia Oblast paid more than UAH 3 billion 818 million UAH as the single social contribution (tax). This amount is UAH 807.3 million more than in five months last year.

Holders of social cards received another humanitarian aid from the Malta Charity Service. The pilot project allows for an even and fair distribution of aid among forced migrants and local residents. The Society of Hungarian Culture of Zakarpattia helped provide financial support for the introduction of the social card system.
