NORTHERN OBLASTS
Kyiv Oblast
Kyiv Oblast continues to equip fortifications. Currently, fortifications and lines of non-explosive barriers are being built under the control of the military command.
Almost 21 thousand applications have been submitted in Kyiv Oblast for the year of the Restoration program. Currently, the number of reconstructed facilities is over 17.5 thousand. These include schools, kindergartens, hospitals, critical infrastructure and housing.
Zhytomyr Oblast
In Zhytomyr, volunteers have set up the production of electronic warfare equipment. The first device will be delivered to the military by the end of the week. The devices are designed by a team that already manufactures body armor and FPV drones.
Chernihiv Oblast
On May 28, russian troops shelled seven villages in three border communities of Chernihiv Oblast. They fired from mortars, cannon artillery and FPV drones. As a result of the shelling, a man was wounded in one of the villages of the Semenivka community and later died in hospital.
Sumy Oblast
Yesterday, the russian army shelled 10 communities in Sumy Oblast – 81 explosions were recorded.
In the morning, the Air Defense Forces shot down a russian missile in the sky over Sumy Oblast.
At night and in the morning, the russian military fired twice at the region. Konotop was hit with a rocket, and the Shalyhyne community was fired upon with small arms.
The enemies also attacked Krasnopillia – three people were wounded. The consequences of the attack are being clarified.
In Seredyna-Buda, a 62-year-old man was wounded in a russian attack – in the morning, the russian army fired mortars at the town’s civilian infrastructure.
EASTERN OBLASTS
Kharkiv Oblast
In the morning, russians shelled Kharkiv Raion. The attack hit an open area. There were no reports of injuries.
Due to the attack on the Epicenter in Kharkiv, the death toll increased to 19 – a man with 50% skin burns died in the hospital. The number of injured increased to 54. Experts are sifting through the ashes to find the remains of the victims. Investigators do not rule out the possibility that the bombs could have been aimed at the store.
As of 2:00 p.m., russian occupants continued their assault in the Kharkiv sector near Vovchansk, conducting four air strikes there. Also, russian aviation dropped UAVs on 3 more localities.
In the Kupiansk sector, the occupants attempted two attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces. In total, there were 10 combat engagements.
In the evening, the Ukrainian Armed Forces recorded the launch of guided aerial bombs in Kharkiv Oblast. A series of explosions were heard in Kharkiv. The consequences are being clarified.
Donetsk Oblast
Three people were killed and 14 others wounded in russian shelling of Donetsk Oblast yesterday. The russian army killed two residents of Toretsk and a man in Selydove. People were wounded in Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk, Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, and Viroliubivka.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion
At night, russian troops shelled Kramatorsk. Part of the road was destroyed, houses and shops were damaged. A 21-year-old man was wounded.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion
One person died as a result of russian shelling of Selydove on the evening of 28 May. Rescuers are looking for a child, another woman is wounded.
SOUTHERN OBLASTS
Mykolayiv Oblast
On 28 May, the russian army shelled the waters of the Ochakiv community twice with artillery. There were no casualties.
On the night of 29 May, air defence forces destroyed 11 Shahed 131/136 drones in Mykolayiv Oblast.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
The russian army conducted 296 attacks on eight towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia Oblast yesterday, 28 May.
Three attacks by the russian army near Mala Tokmachka and Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhia Oblast were repelled by the defense forces in the Orikhiv direction.
Odesa Oblast
The SSU detained an FSB saboteur who set fire to power substations in Odesa Oblast. According to the investigation, in April, the man poured five canisters of petrol onto the technological equipment of two power substations in Bolhrad raion. The fires destroyed the equipment and put the power substations out of commission.
Kherson Oblast
Over the past day, russian troops shelled 21 settlements in the Kherson Oblast. A hit to a communal infrastructure object, an agricultural enterprise, a cultural institution was recorded. Nine private houses were damaged. One person died.
Today, the russian military dropped explosives from a drone on people in Novodmytrivka, Kherson Oblast. Two men suffered contusions, blast and brain injuries and shrapnel injuries.
CENTRAL OBLASTS
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Twice during the night, russian troops shelled Nikopol. The city was hit with artillery. A private house and power line were damaged. Dry grass took over. There are no casualties or injuries.
Today, a 64-year-old man was injured as a result of shelling in Nikopol. A 52-year-old man died in hospital. The library, shop and power line were damaged.
In the afternoon, russian troops directed a kamikaze drone at an ambulance. The 54-year-old driver died. His 53-year-old wife was injured. The woman was hospitalized in serious condition.
Kirovohrad Oblast
That night, air defense forces worked in Kirovohrad Oblast. Debris of the downed russian “Shakhed” damaged power lines in one of the settlements of Kropyvnytskyi raion.
WESTERN OBLASTS
Rivne Oblast
During a night attack in the Rivne Oblast, air defense forces shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle. As a result of falling debris, the protection system at one of the power facilities was triggered, which led to the blackout of some settlements. Currently, the power supply has been restored. There were no injured or killed.
