Northern oblasts

Kyiv

Almost half of the infrastructure damaged as a result of russia’s invasion of Ukraine has been restored in the Kyiv Oblast, said Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration. In total, more than 27,000 structures and facilities were destroyed or damaged, including more than 24,000 residential buildings, and 12,136 facilities have been restored.

Chernihiv Oblast

On July 22, russian troops shelled the Semenivka community in the Chernihiv Oblast. Border guards recorded two explosions in the direction of the village of Tymonovychi.

Sumy Oblast

During the day of July 22, russians shelled the communities of Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Bilopillia, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske, Yunakivka, and Khotyn. The Krasnopillia, Seredyna-Buda, and Bilopillia communities suffered damages. One person was killed and four others were wounded in the Krasnopillia community, and two men were wounded in the Seredyna-Buda community.

On the night of July 23, russia shelled four communities in the Sumy Oblast. There were no casualties or destroyed buildings.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past day, the enemy heavily bombarded settlements in the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk, and Izium raions with artillery, mortars and aircraft.

Several shelling attacks on Kupiansk with Smerch MLRS, tube artillery and mortars damaged several buildings of civil industry enterprises, at least 3 private houses, and outbuildings. A 57-year-old woman was killed.

A 45-year-old civilian man was killed in the village of Dvorichna, Kupiansk Raion, as a result of hostile shelling. A 60-year-old man was wounded and hospitalized.

In the village of Kucherivka, Kupiansk Raion, the buildings of the pig farm were damaged and a fire broke out. Private houses and outbuildings were damaged in the villages of Novoosynove and Petropavlivka in the Kupiansk Raion.

A private house and a car were damaged in the village of Bohuslavka, Izium Raion. In the village of Cherneshchyna, Izium Raion, the club building was damaged by shelling, and a fire broke out.

In the town of Izium, a 72-year-old woman hit a mine near the house entrance. She was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

Mine clearance works are ongoing. Over the last day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service neutralized 63 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

During July 22, the russian military fired 26 times at 18 settlements in the Donetsk Oblast. Four people were killed and 11 injured as a result of the shelling.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,629 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast and injured another 3,885. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

The night before, the russians attacked the Druzhkivka community: one dead and four wounded in Sofiivka, three wounded in Druzhkivka.

One person was injured in Kostiantynivka; also in the community, two houses in Markovo and one in Chervone were damaged.

In the Lysychansk direction, one person was injured and one house was damaged in Siversk.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk direction, one person died and one person was injured in Avdiivka. In the Kurakhivka community, two high-rise buildings were damaged in Hirnyk, five private houses in Kurakhivka and one in Hostre. Shelling of Krasnohorivka and Zoriane of the Marinka communities was recorded.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

One person was injured in the Horlivka direction in the Toretsk community and 20 houses were damaged in Druzhba, and a house in New York was damaged.

Two private houses, a shop, a multi-storey building and a cultural institution were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community yesterday. Also, one person died and one was injured in Toretsk of the Shahove community, and a barley field burned down.

On July 23, the russian army shelled Chasiv Yar with cluster munitions. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in the Palace of Culture, where humanitarian and medical aid was provided. The building of the institution burned down, there were no casualties or injuries. 

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, July 22, enemy artillery shelling was recorded near one of the settlements of the Kutsurub community. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanska raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Zakorizhzhia Obklast

During the past day, July 22, the russian army fired 69 times on towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. 13 settlements came under fire.

At night, russian troops attacked the outskirts of the regional center and Zaporizhzhia Raion with four rockets. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the shelling.

In Energodar, the occupiers intensified repression against Zaporizhzhia NPP workers who refuse to cooperate with them. Thus, employees of Rosgravidia and the FSB intimidate, threaten, blackmail, and also beat Ukrainian specialists, take cash, funds from bank cards, and seize mobile phones.

Odesa Oblast

At night, air defenses shot down nine aerial targets over the Odesa Oblast: four Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles and five Iskander-K land-based cruise missiles.

As a result of the night russian attack, more than 40 buildings were destroyed in Odesa. Two architectural monuments were damaged, many houses in the historic center of the city had broken windows and damaged facades. As a result of the night shelling, a man died, 22 people were injured, including four children.

The Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa was destroyed by a rocket attack. In addition to the building, Orthodox shrines were damaged: the Kasperov icon of the Mother of God, who is the patroness of Odesa, was retrieved from the rubble. The right part of the cathedral was broken down to minus the first floor, half of the roof was destroyed, the central piles and the foundation were broken. All the windows flew out. At the time of the hitting, two people were in the building, both of them survived.

The House of Scientists (Palace of Count Tolstoy) was destroyed. The building is an architectural monument of Odesa. Currently, the halls are damaged, many exhibits have been lost.

Five preschool education institutions in Odesa were destroyed as a result of a night attack by russia.

The russian army attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa, but due to the errors of the X-22 type missiles, the objects located in the neighboring areas were also damaged.

Over the past day, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 59 times. The enemy fired 28 shells over Kherson, attacked residential quarters and an administrative building.

During the past 24 hours, russian troops shelled four communities in the Beryslav Raion with artillery. Residential buildings, outbuildings and farms were destroyed. A man was killed due to shelling.

In the morning, the russian army shelled the suburbs of Kherson. Air bombs hit near the Antonivka Bridge.

During the past day, five fires broke out in the Kherson and Beryslav raions, four of them due to shelling by russia.

The occupiers forcibly took one hundred Ukrainian children from Kalanchak to russia. They were sent to the sanatorium “Forest Tale” in Mordovia to participate in cultural and educational events. In particular, propaganda lectures will be given to children and russian literature will be taught.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of July 23, russian troops hit the Marganets community and Nikopol with heavy artillery. In Nikopol, three private houses, three farm buildings, a car and a power line were damaged. There were no casualties or injuries.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Today, one year has passed since the mass attack of the occupiers on the airfield “Kanatove” near Kropyvnytskyi. On the morning of July 23, 2022, the enemy fired eight Kalibr cruise missiles at the airfield. As a result of the attack, the commander of the military unit was killed, and 17 servicemen were injured. Two Ukrainian fighter jets were destroyed, one plane and the airfield buildings were damaged.

In Kropyvnytskyi, the first of three charity concerts of the group “Dance on the Congo Square” (“TNMK”) in the Kropyvnytskyi Oblast took place. Everyone could join the collection for drones for the military. During the performance, there was also an auction, in which two guitars signed by all members of the band, as well as two flags with autographs, were sold for UAH 40,000.

Poltava Oblast

The Myrhorod community will be the first in the Poltava Oblast and Ukraine in general to test military rehabilitation within the oblast program. The authorities have already inspected one of the sanatorium-resort facilities, on the basis of which they plan to restore the emotional state of servicemen with disabilities and their families. This will take place under the supervision of a team consisting of psychologists, social educators, psychiatrists, and massage therapists.

In Poltava, a modular town was opened for temporary residence of internally displaced persons. Now 81 people already live here. Of them, 9 are children, 10 are disabled, and 27 are elderly.

Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

The recruiting center of the Third Separate Assault Brigade was opened in Lviv. From now on, those who want to become volunteers do not have to go to the capital for an interview.

The “On3Wheels – Dream Fulfillment Fund” project, which organizes mountain climbing for people with disabilities, has announced another hiking season. Now the organizers are looking for male volunteers who can take turns carrying the wheelchair upstairs.

Zakarpattia Oblast

The Zakarpattia Oblast Center for Training the Population for National Resistance has begun training the first course of trainees in six raions of the region. This experience is unprecedented in the history of Ukraine.

100 Zakarpattia schoolchildren returned from vacation in Austria. They spent ten days of summer vacation in the federal state of Burgenland.

In the Zakarpattia Oblast, this year’s first camp shift of the international children’s center “Artek” was opened. 300 children from different oblasts of Ukraine came to the camp.
