Northern oblasts
Kyiv
On the night of August 30, the enemy launched a massive, combined attack using drones and missiles. Air defense forces destroyed 15 of the 16 attack UAVs and all 28 cruise missiles. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhiy Popko, noted that Kyiv had not experienced such a powerful attack since spring. In the capital, falling fragments were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi and Darnytskyi districts in the territory of non-residential buildings. In the Darnytskyi district, the Auchan shopping center was damaged. Two people were killed.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, the remnants of a missile fell in a park area and damaged several dozen trees. At the site of the fall, branches caught fire and were quickly extinguished. Opposite, windows in several houses were smashed. An administrative building also caught fire. Two people were injured.
Kyiv Oblast
As a result of the nighttime enemy attack, missile fragments fell in nine settlements of the Kyiv Oblast. There were fires and the destruction of residential buildings, also grass flooring caught fire. Falling debris was also found on the territory of a cemetery. A total of 35 rescuers of the State Emergency Service and 8 units of special equipment were engaged to eliminate the consequences of the hostile shelling.
In the Kyiv Oblast, 441,000 copies of russian-language books have been removed from public libraries.
On the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine, Brovary honored the memory of the Kyiv Oblast residents who died for the independence of the Ukrainian state. The event was attended by the oblast and raion leaders, families of the fallen heroes, war veterans, volunteers, and public figures.
The Wings campaign is ongoing at the Irpin Mriya Academic Lyceum. The lyceum students collect plastic bottle caps to recycle them and use the proceeds to purchase UAVs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The campaign is supported by the OVES Foundation. The lyceum invites everyone to join in.
Zhytomyr Oblast
At night, the russian army attacked one of the infrastructure facilities of the Zviahel community with kamikaze drones. The wreckage of the downed drone partially damaged one of the infrastructure facilities and the railroad track. There were no casualties.
In connection with the elimination of the consequences of the night shelling, three long-distance trains were delayed.
A monument to Lenin, which had been kept in the community since 2014, was disposed of in the Malyn community. The monument was scrapped, and 390,000 hryvnias were recovered for it. At the next session, the community deputies shall decide what the money will be used for.
The first training and resource center in Ukraine was opened in Zhytomyr. The center will teach nurses to work according to the universal and progressive patronage model.
Chernihiv Oblast
Over the past day, on August 29, russians shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast nine times. The Novhorod-Siversk, Semenivka, and Horodnia communities came under fire. In Semenivka, the surgery wing of the local hospital was damaged.
In the Chernihiv Drama Theater, the second chandelier, which was located in the foyer and was damaged as a result of a russian missile attack on August 19, was dismantled.
Sumy Oblast
On August 29, the russian military bombarded the Sumy Oblast 15 times. A total of 110 explosions were recorded. Eight communities in the oblast were shelled. A private house in the Seredyna-Buda community was damaged during mortar shelling.
At night and in the morning of August 30, the russian army shelled the border areas of the oblast. 45 explosions were recorded. The Krasnopillia, Khotyn, and Shalyhyne communities came under fire. Four private households were damaged.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Over the past day, a number of settlements of the Bohodukhiv, Izium, Chuhuiv, and Kupiansk raions were attacked by the russian occupiers.
Yesterday morning in the town of Kupiansk, the building of the meat processing plant was damaged by shelling. A 45-year-old security guard was killed. An apartment building and a private household were also damaged. A 67-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds.
An administrative building was damaged as a result of an attack by combat drones on the village of Huryiv Kozachok, Bohodukhiv Raion. Mortar shelling of the village damaged hangars and farm outbuildings.
In the village of Cherneshchyna, Izium Raion, two guided aerial bombs damaged a cowshed, a barn, a garage, and an MTZ 80 tractor of an agricultural enterprise.
A 55-year-old civilian man was wounded in the village of Druzhelyubivka, Izium Raion, as a result of hostile shelling. He was hospitalized in serious condition.
Mine clearance is underway. Over the last day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service surveyed 6 hectares of territory and neutralized 66 explosive devices.
Donetsk Oblast
In total, the russian army shelled 14 towns and villages of the Donetsk Oblast over the past day.
Yesterday, one person was killed and eight other residents of the Donetsk Oblast were wounded in the shelling by the russian army.
In total, since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,673 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 4,055 people. The precise number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
In the Horlivka direction, as a result of shelling from the russian side, an office building in Poltavka of the Illinivka community was damaged.
A house was damaged in the Lysychansk direction in Siversk, and 58 shellings of the Lyman community were recorded.
In Sloviansk, the stele with the russian inscription “Sloviansky resort” began to be replaced with a Ukrainian version.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
During the past day, four houses and two infrastructure objects were damaged by russian shelling in the Toretsk community.
The Ukrainian military destroyed four tanks and about 20 units of other equipment in the Bakhmut direction during the past day.
The army of the russian federation can bring people and ammunition to Bakhmut, but the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicts constant hits on the routes of the occupiers.
Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion
In the Volnovakha direction, one person died in Bahatyr of the Velyka Novosilka community.
In the Vuhledar community, three houses in Novoukrainka were damaged. Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Maksymivka were under fire.
At night, the occupiers fired five rockets at the farm in the village of Bohatyr.
Luhansk Oblast
For about a week the russians stormed continuously only in the area of Novoyehorivka, yesterday they tried from another side. They went forward to Bilohorivka as well. However, in both directions, they did not achieve anything, except for their own losses, and left. They also had powerful support from the air, carrying out airstrikes on Nadiia, Tverdokhlibove, Novoyehorivka and Bilohorivka.
In Svatovo, invaders regularly conduct raids, looking for empty housing. russian soldiers and collaborators immediately move into well-furnished homes. If the owner shows up, the house will be returned to him three years after people settle there. If it is not found even after this term, it will be nationalized.
Southern oblasts
Mykolaiv Oblast
As of 8 a.m. on August 30, no enemy shelling was recorded in the Mykolaiv Oblast over the past day. Forces and means of anti-aircraft defense of the air command “Pivden” in the Mykolaiv Oblast destroyed three enemy attack UAVs “Shahed-136/131”.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
38- and 40-year-old men and a 51-year-old woman were injured as a result of the russian artillery shelling of Kamianske, which happened yesterday, August 29.
In total, the russian army struck 106 strikes on 20 towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast yesterday.
During the year and a half of the full-scale invasion, the air alert was declared over 2,500 times in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and its total duration was approximately 90 days.
The defense forces were successful in the directions Novodanilivka-Novoprokopivka and Mala Tokmachka-Verbove near Zaporizhzhia. Currently, they are fixed at the achieved boundaries.
Odesa Oblast
At night, russia attacked the Odesa Oblast with sea-based missiles. Air defense forces and the Maritime Guard over the sea in Odesa destroyed eight missiles. There are no hits or destruction.
A spy of the russian “Ghost” group was detained in Odesa. Under the pseudonym “Santa”, he fought against Ukrainian troops in the east, in particular, in the area of the Bakhmut highway. However, later he returned to Odessa. The man is currently in custody. He faces up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Kherson Oblast
During August 29, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 77 times. A church building in the Kherson Raion was damaged. Shells hit residential quarters. Three people died, three others were injured.
In the evening, russian troops shelled Olhivka in the Kherson Oblast. A 75-year-old man was injured. He was taken to the hospital.
In a field near Sadove, two men were blown up by a russian mine. Both died.
In order to speed up the demining process in the Kherson Oblast, the number of people involved in this process will be increased to 10,000 next year. There are also negotiations on the purchase of 200 demining machines.
The Ukrainian military raised the flag on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson Oblast next to the Antoniv bridge.
A deputy of the Novotroitsk settlement council is suspected of complicity with the russian federation. He placed military equipment of the russian army on the territory of his own agricultural enterprise. He also resettled the personnel of the russian army in Sivaske and provided equipment for the construction of military fortifications. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
Central oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Poltava Oblast
In the new academic year, the schools of the Poltava Oblast will welcome almost 136,000 students, more than 5,000 of them from families of IDPs. From September 1, children will receive education in 522 general secondary education institutions. In 2023-2024, the educational process will take place in three forms: face-to-face, mixed and distance learning.
Cherkasy Oblast

Defender Oleh Kapustin from the Talne community was awarded the “Golden Cross” badge. The award was presented to the soldier on August 24 by the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi in the Bakhmut direction. The soldier serves in military intelligence.
After the start of the full-scale war, 130 Cherkasy teachers went abroad. Today, half of them have already returned. As of 2022, 9.5 thousand schoolchildren were abroad. This is about 8% of the total number.
A personal photo exhibition of the fallen soldier Maksym Burda was opened in the oblast art museum. There are almost 200 photos from the front, portraits of comrades and military life. The defender’s dream was fulfilled by his relatives.
Western Oblasts
Rivne Oblast
Military servicemen undergoing rehabilitation at the Rivne Hospital for War Veterans were treated to zootherapy at the zoo. The city plans to provide a low-threshold bus to transport soldiers on such excursions on a regular basis. In the zoo, servicemen can feed the animals, interact with them and distract themselves from the hospital routine.
Volyn Oblast
In Zaturtsi, an Alley of Glory and Memory of fallen military servicemen of the community was arranged.
UAH 200,000 will be paid from the city budget to the families of those killed as a result of a missile attack on a private enterprise in Lutsk.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast

The charity run “I respect soldiers, I run for the Heroes of Ukraine” was held in the Yarmolyntsi community. Families of fallen defenders of Ukraine, military personnel, schoolchildren and community residents joined the event.
Kamianets-Podilskyi
Yesterday evening, a storm with strong wind, hail and downpour passed over the territory of Kamianets-Podilskyi Raion. As a result, the villages of Pyzhivka and Zeleni Kurylivtsi of the Nova Ushytsia community were damaged.
Chernivtsi Oblast
Andrii Labuniak, a graduate of the Chernivtsi Medical College, received the award of the President of Ukraine “For the Defense of Ukraine”, and soldier Viacheslav Khoroshylov received the “Golden Cross” badge.
Certificates from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were presented to 8 doctors of communal institutions of the region. In this way, their contribution to the approaching Victory over the enemy was noted.
A working meeting was held at the Chernivtsi Oblast Military Administration with Dorel Fronea, a strategic customs adviser of the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM Ukraine), regarding the preparation of the Ukrainian-Romanian proposal for the construction of border crossing points.
The head of the Chernivtsi Oblast Council met with the representative of the Secretariat of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for human rights Anton Hulidin. They talked about the implementation of joint projects for the psychological and physical rehabilitation of military personnel, support for the children of fallen defenders, internally displaced persons and other vulnerable categories of the population.
Children made commemorative flowers and honored the memory – in the center of Chernivtsi, a thematic workshop on making sundials was held.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
Relatives of missing and captured soldiers gathered for a peaceful rally on Independence Maidan in Kyiv. They are asking to find and bring home their relatives.
In the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, the wind damaged the roofs of 47 buildings and felled 12 trees. There were no injured. Due to the bad weather, 26 settlements were partially cut off, one was completely without electricity.
Ternopil Oblast
Investigators of the Ternopil Department of the Security Service of Ukraine reported the suspicion to a resident of the city of Hola Prystan. She voluntarily accepted the occupiers’ offer to head one of the departments of the occupation administration.
Zakarpattia Oblast
In the evening of August 29, a requiem evening “Heroes do not die” was held in Uzhhorod for the Day of Remembrance of defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
