Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

The Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Ukraine Bridget Brink and representatives of the embassy in the capital city hall. They discussed the economic and social situation in Kyiv, as well as the preparation of the capital for the heating season. They talked about further cooperation in the field of security, updating the energy infrastructure, and about the challenges facing local self-government today.

The Kyiv City Council has increased the funding of the «Defender of Kyiv» city program to 5 billion hryvnias. In particular, this money will be used for military uniforms, body armor, and helmets. They will also be spent on the purchase of drones, radio stations, transport, and repair of military equipment.

In Kyiv, the first 37 apartments were prepared for temporary residence of displaced persons. Housing is the property of the territorial community and is provided free of charge. In total, the city purchased 113 apartments for IDPs.

Kyiv Oblast

In Kyiv Oblast, they will create a catalog of the restoration of the Oblast for greater transparency during reconstruction. The Kyiv OMA noted that there it will be possible to learn about the renovated objects and how much money was spent on it from the reserve state budget during 2022.

The construction of a new bridge over the Zdvizh River was completed in the Kyiv Oblast. The bridge was destroyed by the russians at the start of a full-scale invasion. The length of the new bridge is 102 meters. It was built taking into account modern traffic loads. The artificial structure has two traffic lanes. Markings on the carriageway are partially marked.

Chernihiv Oblast

On July 25, russian troops shelled Semenivka, Snovsk and Novgorod-Siverskyi communities in Chernihiv Oblast. Border guards recorded five shellings and a total of 22 explosions.

Sumy Oblast

On the afternoon of July 25, the russian military shelled 17 settlements in ten communities of the Sumy Oblast: Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Khotin, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Seredyna-Buda, Yunakivka, Esman, Znob-Novgorodske, Glukhiv. In the Nova Sloboda community, 5 private residential buildings, a household, a school building, a cultural center, a church, and power lines were damaged.

On the night and morning of July 26, the russian army attacked the communities of Krasnopillia, Khotin, Myropillia, Shalygyne, Seredyna-Buda, and Nova Sloboda. In general, the communities were shelled with mortars, artillery, and machine guns. According to the preliminary information of the Sumy OMA, there are no victims or destruction of civil infrastructure.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

During the past day, the russian invaders fired artillery, mortars and other weapons at the settlements of Bogodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuguyiv, Kupyansk, Lozova and Izyum raions.

In particular, Kupyansk, Vovchansk, Guryiv Kozachok, Graniv, Bochkovye, Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Zapadne and others were under enemy fire.

Last night, the enemy attacked the town of Pervomayskyi in the Lozova raion with the help of UAVs. The warehouse building was damaged, there was a fire. No casualties.

In Kupyansk, 2 private residential buildings were damaged by shelling from multiple rocket launchers. In the village of Podoly, Kupyansk raion, a fire broke out in a coniferous forest due to shelling.

In the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv raion, a private house and a power line were damaged.

At least 3 private residential buildings were damaged in the village of Vilcha, Chuguyiv raion.

Demining continues. During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 78 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast

In total, on July 25, the russian army struck 11 towns and villages in Donetsk Oblast. Shelling by the russian army in Donetsk Oblast killed two people and injured two residents of the Oblast. 

Since February 24, the russians have killed 1,634 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 3,896. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

In the Lysychansk direction, a house in Siversk was damaged, 3 houses in Torsk in the Lyman community were damaged, Zvanivka and Pereizne were shelled.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

In the Donetsk direction, 1 person died and 1 person was injured in Avdiyivka. 3 houses were damaged in Dalnie of the Kurakhove community. Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka of Maryinka community and Ocheretyne were shelled from artillery.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka direction, 2 houses were damaged in Toretsk, and the territory of the mine was shelled in Pivnichne. The russians dropped an aerial bomb on New York. 2 houses were damaged in the Chasovyi Yar community. In the Soledar community, Vasiukivka, Rozdolivka and Fedorivka are under fire.

Rescuers from the Donetsk Oblast came under targeted fire from the russian military when they were extinguishing a fire in the Toretsk community on July 25. The occupiers tracked the workers of the State Emergency Service from a drone and opened fire on them.

Over the past five days, 5 families with 9 children have been evacuated from the Toretsk community.

In the Bakhmut direction, due to the successful actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the daily losses of the occupiers are approaching the losses of “Wagner”, which they suffered during the storming of Bakhmut.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion 

In the Volnovakha direction, Vuhledar and Bohoiavlenka are under fire – without casualties.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

As of 7:30 a.m. on July 26, no russian shelling was recorded on the territory of the Mykolaiv Oblast.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, July 25, the russian military shelled 22 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. There are injured people.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, during an aerial reconnaissance, Ukrainian defenders found wounded comrades. With the help of a drone, it was possible to help the fighters reach the positions of the Ukrainian troops.

Odesa Oblast

In the morning, near one of the beaches of Odesa, two mines spontaneously exploded. One was taken near Odesa to the very edge of the water. As a result, the country house was damaged. People were not injured.

A group of volunteers from Odesa and Kherson developed a site with 150 articles, where people can find a description of things needed at the front, their price and resources where to order. It was created so that every person could spend money on useful things that will help the military on the front lines.

In Odesa, it was calculated how much money is needed to restore kindergartens and schools damaged as a result of russian missile attacks. In total, five kindergartens, four schools and two after-school education institutions were affected. At least UAH 5 million is required for each institution.

Kherson Oblast

On July 25, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 55 times with various types of weapons. Shells hit residential quarters and the territory of an agricultural enterprise in the Kakhovka Raion. Two people died, three were injured.

The whereabouts of 731 people who were abducted by the russian occupiers in the Kherson Oblast are still unknown. Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, law enforcement officers have recorded more than 1,500 cases of abduction or disappearance of public activists, volunteers, journalists, and representatives of local authorities in the Kherson Oblast.

Members of the Ukrainian resistance movement draw graffiti and distribute leaflets with the letter “Ї” in Skadovsk, Henichesk and Novotroitske. In this way, they express their opposition to the russian occupation authorities in the Kherson Oblast.

Central Oblasts

Kirovohrad Oblast

Servicemen of the 3rd separate special regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave conducted tactical and special training, during which they worked out the elements of combat in the conditions of urban development. In particular, the storming and clearing of buildings in cooperation with the fire support group, the use of aerial reconnaissance and other elements of the battle were carried out.

The Pomichna city community of the Novoukrainka Raion purchased 13 quadcopters for the Ukrainian army. According to the decision of the 27th session of the Pomichna City Council, 13 quadcopters for the amount of UAH 1.43 million were purchased for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 11 quadcopters have already been delivered to the front, 2 more are waiting for their owners.

The Svitlovodsk city community handed over equipment for the military of the 194th battalion of the Kherson 124th Territorial Defense Brigade and humanitarian aid for the residents of the Kherson Oblast. The soldiers received a powerful inverter generator, two portable charging stations, four camouflage nets, fire extinguishers, etc. Food, sweets, personal hygiene products, vitamins, medicines and medical supplies were also delivered. Such assistance was sent to the residents of the Kherson Oblast who suffered as a result of the flooding after the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP.

Vinnytsia Oblast

Two Kalibr cruise missiles were shot down in the Vinnytsia Oblast during the last air alert.

A three-day camp for children “Paths of Ukraine” started in Vinnytsia. Visitors will be told facts about the history of the country’s creation, and handicraft master classes will be held. The project has a charitable purpose: part of the money for the camp will be directed to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The charity project “Bunny-Winner” for children of defenders is implemented in Vinnytsia by the daughter of a fallen serviceman. The project is an initiative of Ukrainian Elina Brukhatska, who lives in Greece. With the help of volunteers, she finds the addresses of the children of volunteer soldiers, wounded, captured and fallen defenders, to whom gifts are sent.

Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Employees of the Municipal Enterprise “Miskteplovodenerhiia” went to the Kherson Oblast for the second time. Here they are helping the locals overcome the consequences of flooding after the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP. They brought packages with products and goodies for children with them.

Agrarians of the Kamianets Raion can receive money from the oblast budget to cover expenses related to production activities. This is foreseen by the Program for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast for 2023-2027.

Today, the Coordinating Council on Health Improvement approved the lists of children who will be vacationing in Poland, Lithuania and in the “Forest Song” health camp in August. Transportation is carried out at the expense of the community budget. Staying in places of rest abroad is ensured due to international cooperation with partner cities. Tickets are provided to children of military personnel, internally displaced persons and other vulnerable categories.

Chernivtsi Oblast 

Awards were handed over to the families of Bukovyna defenders who died on the front lines. Volodymyr Zolotyi was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi III degree, Oleksandr Holovko, Stepan Zelenko, Andrii Burchak and Valentyn Chupak – the orders “For Courage” III degree, Serhii Yurchenkov – the medal “For Military Service to Ukraine”.

Residents of the Perebykivtsi headman county of the Klishkivtsi community delivered another humanitarian aid to the front line. Volunteers visited defenders in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv oblasts. They handed over 9 tons of products. These are meat and fish stews, vegetables, homemade bread, cookies, water, parcels from family and friends.

The staff of the Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education of the Chernivtsi Oblast raised funds for the purchase of a 7-inch FPV drone for the military. The educators handed over the drone to the 94th Battalion of the 107th Separate Brigade of the Bukovyna Territorial Defense Forces. It is here that one of the employees of the institute works.

A shelter for internally displaced persons has been operating in Chernivtsi for almost 1.5 years. In the premises of the former furniture factory, it was arranged by the “Salvation of Ukraine” charitable foundation. During the war, volunteers provided housing for more than 3,000 people: currently 87 IDPs live here, including 14 children.

A press briefing “Your safety above all” was held in Bukovyna as part of the World Day Against Human Trafficking. The participants talked about the problems of human trafficking and drew attention to the plight of women, men and children who became victims of this crime. In particular, in the Chernivtsi Oblast, 36 people received the status of victims of human trafficking.

Zakarpattia Oblast 

In the Zakarpattia Oblast, more than UAH 293 million of military tax was paid for the support of the Ukrainian army in half a year.

The mayor of Uzhhorod took part in the meeting of the Board of the Association of Cities of Ukraine, which was held the day before in Kyiv. In particular, they considered the issue of support by local self-government bodies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, preparation for the heating season of 2023-2024, problems of budgetary provision of territorial communities due to changes in tax legislation.

A center for psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainians affected by the war will be established in the Zakarpattia Oblast. Its main task is the demilitarization of children from the war zone. In the institution, highly qualified workers will provide psychological assistance to children who have experienced traumatic events as a result of the war.

The “Big City Ride” charity bike ride for the Day of Ukrainian Statehood will take place on Friday, July 28, in Uzhhorod. The event will be held in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
