Northern Oblasts
Kyiv Oblast
Explosive objects were liquidated in Vyshgorod raion today.
1,249 shelters for more than 260,000 people have been arranged in educational institutions of the Kyiv Oblast. Most protective structures in educational institutions are the simplest shelters, including 126 anti-radiation shelters. Arrangement works are carried out in all raions. Construction has begun in Velyka Dymerka, Ukrainka, Borodyanka and is planned in Brovary communities.
Medical drones will fly in the sky over Kyiv Oblast. In particular, they will fly over the Bucha community. They will deliver medicines to medical facilities. The flights will be coordinated with the military, the city council informed. They can fly several times a day in daylight at an altitude of 100-300 m – they make almost no sound.
Zhytomyr Oblast
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi honored two doctors from Zhytomyr on the Day of Medical Workers. He awarded Valentyna Savytska with the Order of Princess Olga of the III degree and awarded the title of «Honored Doctor of Ukraine» to Oleh Shubin.
The charity organization «Hospital Clowns» from the city of Nagoya, Japan, with its entertainment program, visited children undergoing treatment at the Zhytomyr Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital. This is their first visit to Zhytomyr Oblast since the beginning of the russian federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Before that, they came to entertain children for more than 10 years.
Sumy Oblast
On July 27, russia shelled 15 settlements in the Sumy Oblast. In the Yunakivka community, a person was injured, in Bilopillia – a farm was destroyed, more than half a hundred animals were killed.
During the night and morning of July 28, the russians shelled Sumy Oblast 6 times. In the Seredyna-Buda community, 3 residential buildings and a garage were damaged.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
In the evening of July 27, the enemy shelled the village of Novoosynove, Kupyansk raion. 2 residential buildings were damaged. 5 people were injured. A 61-year-old woman was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. The 84- and 75-year-old men and the 65- and 72-year-old women have minor injuries, received help on the spot, and did not require hospitalization.
During the past day, the enemy fired artillery, mortars and other weapons at the settlements of Kharkiv, Bogodukhiv, Chuguyiv, Izyum and Kupyansk raions.
In particular, Guryiv Kozachok, Udy, Bochkove, Mala Vovcha, Budarky, Figolivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne and other settlements were under fire.
Forest fires broke out in the villages of Petropavlivka and Podola of the Kupyansk raion and Novoplatonivka of the Izyum raion due to enemy shelling.
In the village of Shiykivka, Izyum raion, a grain warehouse was damaged by enemy shelling.
Demining works are ongoing. During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 8 hectares of territory and neutralized 99 explosive objects.
Donetsk Oblast
One person died and three people were injured in Donetsk Oblast during the past day, July 27.
Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,636 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 3,908. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion
During July 27, the russian military shelled the village of Nadiya in the Lyman direction, covering the village of Druzhkivske with Tornado-S. Details are not reported.
2 houses were damaged in the Lysychansk direction in the Zvanivka community, and the paramedic station in Pereyizne was destroyed. 8 houses were damaged in Yampol of the Lyman community.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion
During July 27, the russian military shelled Avdiyivka nine times. 1 person died and 2 were injured.
Shelling of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka community and Kurakhove was recorded.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion
The russian military dropped two guided aerial bombs on New York. 9 houses and an administrative building were damaged.
2 houses were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community.
Volnovakha and Volnovakha raion

Mariupol

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Bashtanka and Voznesensk Raions, the day and night were relatively calm.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Over the past day, July 27, russian troops shelled 23 localities in Zaporizhzhya Oblast. There were no casualties.
On July 26 and 27, IAEA experts at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant heard explosions.
Over the past day, specialists of ”Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo” restored power supply to more than 7,600 consumers in the government-controlled territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
Odesa Oblast
A grenade exploded in the Odesa House of Trade Unions due to careless handling. A grenade exploded in the hands of a 61-year-old massage therapist who rented a basement in the Trade Union Building. The rehabilitation therapist was killed and his visitor suffered a mild barotrauma.
A storm brought a sea mine to one of the beaches in Odesa Oblast. It was detonated in a controlled manner by specialists of a specialized unit.

Kherson Oblast
On July 27, the russian army fired 28 times at Kherson Oblast. They fired 35 shells at Kherson. Warehouses and the territory of a garage cooperative were damaged.
Yesterday, a man was wounded as a result of artillery shelling by russian troops in Odradokamianka, Beryslav Raion. Residential buildings were damaged in Novoberyslav, and a critical infrastructure facility in Havrylivka.
Today, the russian federation shelled Novoberyslav and Kozatske in Kherson Oblast. Two men were wounded, both were hospitalized, and doctors are providing them with medical assistance.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Russian troops attacked Nikopol Raion five times with heavy artillery on the night of July 28. They hit Nikopol and the Marhanets community. No one was killed or injured. The consequences of the attacks are being investigated.
UAH 285 million was allocated from the regional budget for the reconstruction of medical and rehabilitation centers during the regional council session. In total, the deputies considered 30 draft decisions. The main issues included supporting the army, arranging shelters, and meeting the needs of the medical and educational sectors.
Kirovohrad Oblast
Pavlo Deineko, a resident of the village of Verbluzhka, was awarded a medal “For Merit to the Armed Forces of Ukraine” in the Novhorodkivka settlement community of Kropyvnytskyi Raion. The man went to the front at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. At the end of March 2022, a senior soldier was seriously injured near Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast. After extensive treatment and rehabilitation, he returned to duty and continued his service in the Armed Forces.
Members of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council supported the allocation of UAH 70 million as part of the program to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the session. Thus, UAH 180 million was allocated under this program in 2022-2023.
Another traitor collected information for the enemy about military facilities in Kirovohrad Oblast. A 20-year-old native of Donetsk Oblast was served a notice of suspicion of high treason. According to the investigation, the suspect sided with the enemy and worked for the military intelligence of the aggressor country. The young man was promised further training and employment in the federal security service in return for his quality work.
Poltava Oblast
A soldier from the Poltava Oblast, who returned from russian captivity after torture, was awarded an order. Serhii Porokhnevskyi was defending Ukraine in the Donetsk Oblast when he was captured by the russians. He and his brothers were tortured there, and their food was restricted. The defenders were released after 66 days. After a course of treatment and rehabilitation, the soldier continued his service in the reconnaissance company of the 72nd separate motorized infantry brigade.
Intelligence officer Viktor “Pan” Panchenko from Myrhorod is planned to be awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine posthumously. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the 38-year-old soldier volunteered to defend the state. The man was a scout in the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after Black Zaporozhians. The senior soldier died in February 2023.
Vinnytsia Oblast
In two days, 300 hygiene kits were issued to internally displaced persons from the Luhansk Oblast in Vinnytsia. The issuance of humanitarian aid was initiated by the International Organization for Migration.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi awarded the 2023 Shevchenko Prize to Kateryna Kalytko, a poet from Vinnytsia, for the book of poems “Order of Silent Women”. The amount of the award is 429,000 hryvnias.
Western Oblasts
Volyn Oblast
Volodymyr Zelenskyi presented the 100th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense of Volyn with the “For Courage and Bravery” award. The ceremony took place in Kyiv.
600 Volyn border guards returned from the front line. Military personnel of the rapid response border commandant performed combat missions in the Donetsk direction for four months.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
For the 50th time, the peaceful action “Bring the heroes home” took place in Khmelnytskyi. This time it coincided with the anniversary of the tragedy in Olenivka. A year ago, the russian military executed more than 50 Ukrainian prisoners in this place.
Volunteers from Khmelnytskyi converted a postal truck from Germany into an auto repair shop for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Khmelnytskyi Oblast helps in the restoration of the urban-type settlement of Vysokopillia in the Beryslav Raion, the Kherson Oblast. Here, russian troops destroyed 80% of housing and social infrastructure.
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
The senior driver of the machine gun platoon of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians, Ivan Koiliak from Ivano-Frankivsk, received the “Golden Cross” badge from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
The Ivano-Frankivsk Locomotive Repair Plant has produced UAH 30 million worth of equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Michel Merten, a journalist from Luxembourg, visited Ivano-Frankivsk as part of the Luxembourg-Kyiv charity bike tour. In 28 days of travel, he covered 1,900 km in five countries. During the trip, the man collects money to help Ukrainians, in particular, for the rehabilitation of children in the Carpathians.
Ternopil Oblast
Fifteen servicemen were posthumously awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the City of Ternopil”.
The exhibition “Rays of Spirituality” was opened in the oblast museum of local history. It is devoted to the 1035th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus. The exhibition includes ancient icons, old prints, and photographs.
Zakarpattia Oblast
State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of Slovakia Peter Shvets and adviser to the Prime Minister of Slovakia on Ukrainian issues Eduard Buras were in the Zakarpattia Oblast on a humanitarian mission. During the visit, the Government of Slovakia, the worldwide network of the Adventist Aid and Development Agency ADRA and the Amazon company presented the boarding school with a 100-watt diesel generator and humanitarian cargo – kitchen, shower cabins, dishes and other necessary things. Since the full-scale war, the organization has delivered 55 aid trucks to Ukraine, including medicine and food.
The International Organization for Migration handed over 8 tablets to the Uzhhorod City Council for employees of services that work with a large amount of data. The city received the equipment as part of the “Human Dimension” project. The goal of the project is to implement an inclusive, gender-sensitive policy, in particular to ensure the protection and full integration into the community of all strata of the population.
Certificates signed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, with the assistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were presented today, on the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, to young volunteers, active students of Uzhhorod schools, for the initiatives needed during the war.
