Kyiv

The Department of Civil Protection and Defense Work of the Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration plans to purchase 665 sets of winter military uniforms at the expense of the local budget. Kharkiv Oblast
No occupiers’ attacks on Kharkiv were recorded during the day. However, the enemy continues to shell the border settlements with artillery and mortars.
A private homestead was on fire in the Dvorichna community of the Kupiansk Raion. After 3 p.m., the occupiers shelled and damaged the administrative building in the village of Dvorichna; the roof of the building caught fire.
At night, after 2 a.m., as a result of shelling, a hayloft was on fire in the Shevchenkove community of the Kupiansk Raion.
During the day, medics hospitalized two residents of the Dvorichna community – a 42-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man – who were injured as a result of shelling. The condition of these patients is average.
Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service defused 635 explosive devices during the day. Mine clearance continues.
Donetsk Oblast
On November 8, it became known about 3 civilians killed by russians in the Donetsk Oblast: in the village of Kostiantynivka, Chasiv Yar, and Avdiivka.
In addition, law enforcement officers found the bodies of 3 persons killed by the russian military during the occupation in Yampil.
11 more people in the oblast were wounded.
Since February 24, the russians have killed 1,177 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 2,566. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
Over the last day russian troops shelled the settlements in the east of the Pokrovsk Raion: the towns of Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Karlivka and Krasnohorivka.
The occupiers attacked the civilian population with aircraft, Grad MLRS, TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower systems, S-300 air defense systems, artillery, and mortars.
In Kurakhove, the aggressors hit the private sector and an industrial facility.
Avdiivka was shelled by artillery in the evening – one person was killed, and another one was wounded. 3 people were wounded in Krasnohorivka.
Free bread will be delivered to the building of the Rodynske Starosta District Council. Residents of the community will be given 2-3 loaves per family.
The Open European Kettlebell Lifting Cup was held from November 5 to 6 in the Polish city of Ostrów Wielkopolski. About 230 athletes from 13 countries took part in the competition. Kettlebell lifter Leon Bilytskyi from the Pokrovsk community became a multiple winner of the European Cup. Over the past 24 hours, the russian occupiers have shelled the Zaporizhzhia Oblast more than 80 times. 49 times they targeted civil infrastructure facilities in 17 settlements.

Kherson Oblast
Russian military shelled the village of Novovoskresenske in the Kherson Oblast. An apartment building was hit, as a result one person died and one person was injured.
The russian army is firing on the liberated communities of Beryslav Raion. After another shelling of the village of Velyka Oleksandrivka, law enforcement officers provided the injured with first aid, called an ambulance and took the victims to the Kryvyi Rih hospital.
The russian military blew up five bridges in the Kherson Oblast to slow down the onslaught of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Some russian “media” announced the death of a collaborator, the fake “deputy governor of the Kherson Oblast” kyrylo stremousov. Apparently, he died in a road accident. The First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Oblast Council Yurii Sobolevskyi said that the information about stremousov’s death has not been confirmed. Maybe it was staged.
The russian occupiers are trying to take away the goods looted in the Kherson Oblast via the bridge over the Kakhovska Dam. On November 8, the movement of trucks with household appliances and building materials was noticed there. Also, artistic and historical treasures are taken out.
Russia will withdraw the troops in the Kherson Oblast from the right bank of the Dnieper river to the left – that is, from Kherson and nearby settlements. Odesa Oblast
Over the Black Sea, anti-aircraft defense shot down an Kh-31 missile fired at Odesa from a Su-30 aircraft.
Civil defense training was held for employees of one of the Odesa hospitals. The doctors got acquainted with the basic rules of behavior in emergency situations. They practiced actions when detecting explosive objects, extinguishing a fire and evacuating patients in case of an air alert.
To the Day of the Ukrainian Language and Writing, the city council’s advertising department posted social stories on the streets of Odesa. The All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity was written by Odessans in the old catacombs.
The team of the AUI “Active Community” in Odesa held a debate tournament for student youth. The participants practiced oratory skills, learned to deeply research a given topic, defend their own opinions with arguments, and work in a team. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
At night, the russians attacked the city of Dnipro with drones. A hit was inflicted on the warehouse of the logistics enterprise. A fire broke out on 3,000 square meters. Another 5 drones were shot down by air defense forces over the city. As a result of the enemy attack, 4 employees of the enterprise were injured. They are in the hospital now, and three of them are in serious condition.
Marganets and Myrove communities were also shelled at night. In the Marganets community, several residential buildings and a private enterprise were heavely damaged. In Myrove community, 18 private houses, 11 commercial buildings, cars and the power grid were damaged.
In the afternoon, the russians shelled the Marganets community with multiple launch rocket systems “Grad”, hitting a residential building. One person was killed.
In Nikopol, since the beginning of the war, russian troops have destroyed more than 2,000 houses. Now the city is being rebuilt after shelling. People fill up broken windows with plywood, repair roofs, and officials issue building materials. At the same time, emergency heating points are being set up.
Dnipro volunteers handed over a DJI Mavic 3 combat drone to the the front line for soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. To do this, they managed to raise funds during a charity fair in Zelenyi Gai Park.
Volunteers from Kryvyi Rih handed over almost two thousand portions of dry borscht to the front line. All products are purchased by volunteers at their own expense, and they also accept help from citizens. The staff of one of the railway stations purchased and handed over two dryers to volunteers. Now, in order to continue production, volunteers buy dozens of kilograms of products. More than 10 people are working within this initiative.
In Dnipro, 30 IDPts from Mariupol, together with employees of the city library, wrote the All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity. More than a hundred people also participated in writing the dictation at Dnipro National University: they were scientists, teachers, students, including the rector.
Kirovohrad Oblast
Employees of the executive apparat of the Kirovohrad Oblast Council purchased an anti-aircraft searchlight with a beam range of up to six kilometers for the air defense system of the Kirovohrad Oblast. An exhibition of photos of the residents of Kirovohrad Oblast was opened in the USA. The project was implemented by Peace Corps volunteer Michael Andrews, who in 2018-19 combined his work as a volunteer and traveled around the Kirovohrad Oblast as a volunteer photographer of the “Baba Yelka” team. In the preface to the guide to the exhibition, he wrote that these photos “are about incredible resilience, hope and perseverance, the human qualities that are important for the future not only of Ukrainians, but also for us.”
Poltava Oblast
22-year-old Anton Dihtiar from the Novi Sanzhary community defended Ukraine in the Donetsk Oblast. The soldier died on November 6, having been wounded during the attack by the Grad multiple rocket launchers. The fighter was a driver-mechanic of the first tank company in the first separate tank Siversk brigade.
Oleksandr Yavtushenko was farewelled yesterday. Residents of the Poltava Oblast paid a tribute to the defender’s feat. The soldier was mobilized in March 2022. He served as a gunner-medic. The defender died on November 1 near Yahidne while performing a combat mission.
In the Poltava Oblast, the parents of the deceased Oleg Yavtushenko were presented with the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. From the first days of the large-scale invasion of the occupiers, senior lieutenant Oleg Yavtushenko was in advanced positions. On March 12, a 25-year-old officer died during another battle. A beekeeper from the Poltava Oblast collected almost 400,000 hryvnias for cars for colleagues at the front. Thanks to the solidarity of beekeepers, one crossover will go to the Kherson direction. The other goes to the Donetsk Oblast. There are beekeepers from Kryvyi Rih, they will be chosen a pickup truck.
As of today, another center for those who left their homes fleeing the war has opened in Poltava. The “Side by Side” support center for internally displaced persons of the Volnovakha Raion was opened on the basis of the branch library No. 10 for children. This institution is a small center of Volnovakha and the Volnovasky Raion of the Donetsk Oblast. It’s a place, where people from the temporarily occupied territories can come to solve urgent life issues, communicate or receive psychological support.

The leadership of the community invited business representatives to participate in a strategic session in the format of a round table. The goal is to determine the potential for the development of the processing industry in the territory of the Kamianets-Podilskyi community and nearby villages. The strategic session will take place within the framework of the international aid program “EU4Business: competitiveness and internationalization of SMEs”, which is jointly financed by the European Union and the German government.
Since the beginning of the year, 37,600 citizens have used the services of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast Employment Service. More than 4,000 employers were informed about the need for qualified workers in the Oblast. 61.6% of vacancies were filled.

Bukovyna saw brave soldiers who defended the freedom and independence of Ukraine on their last journey: they said goodbye to the senior soldier Oleksiy Adamovych in the village of Novi Broskivtsi, and to the soldier Serhiy Zaiets in the village of Sterche.
In the village of Chunkiv of the Kadubovets community, the former kindergarten building is being overhauled with the funds of the state budget and the territorial communities in order to turn it into a dormitory for displaced people. It can accommodate 60 people.
Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Chernivtsi Oblast Council with the representative office of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine and the International Charitable Fund “Ukrainian Public Health Foundation”, a Center for the Protection and Support of Children Who Suffered or Witnessed Violence is being established in Chernivtsi, called the Barnahus.
