Northern oblast

Kyiv

Kyiv received the first two heavy-duty generators as part of the memorandum with Taiwan. According to the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko, generators with a capacity of 300-800 kVA have already been handed over to the Kyivteploenergo heat supply company. They will be installed at city boiler houses.

Kyiv Oblast

As of now, the Kyiv Oblast is fully supplied with electricity, emergency and scheduled power outages have been introduced in the region. From today, new schedules of stabilization outages are in effect in the Kyiv Oblast. For the uniformity and sequence of power outages, consumers were divided into four groups, instead of two, as was the case before.

Irpin received a batch of humanitarian aid from Germany: medical supplies, generators, and fuel. The aid came as part of the support of the sister cities of Saxony, in particular, Borna.

Zhytomyr Oblast

At the initiative of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Zhytomyr Oblast, goods of russian origin worth over one and a half million hryvnias were seized at the Zhytomyr Customs office. The whole consignment will be transferred to the National Agency of Ukraine for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (ARMA). It was established that one of the Kyiv companies tried to import the goods to Ukraine from Poland.

The majority of deputies of the Zhytomyr City Council channeled the funds? Which had been allocated for the needs of the districts in 2022, for financial assistance. At the beginning of 2022, 4.2 million hryvnias of “deputies’” funds had been earmarked in the budget of the Zhytomyr City Territorial Community (100 thousand hryvnias for each deputy of the city council) to meet the needs of the electoral district. By the end of the year, this amount was doubled, and each elected people’s representative could allocate 200,000 hryvnias for the needs of the constituency, but 28 out of 42 deputies gave all the allocated funds for financial assistance.

Chernihiv Oblast

Today, russians shelled the Semenivka community with tube artillery, namely in the vicinity of the village of Karpovychi. Observers counted 19 hits.

Two soldiers, Ruslan Luchko and Viktor Rolik, killed in action in eastern Ukraine, were buried today in the Chernihiv Oblast.

Maryna Bodnar, the wife of the fallen Mariupol defender Vitaliy Trukhan with the call sign “Bitsukha”, makes candles that her husband helped her create when he was still alive. The girl created a brand that she dedicated to his memory and called “Vitalius”, which means “vital” in Latin. The cache-pot is in the form of a man holding his knees. Sumy Oblast

On January 2, Russians shelled the Krasnopillia, Shalyhyne, Velyka Pysarivka, and Bilopillia communities. In the Bilopillia community, a school, a power line, and a car were damaged as a result of the shelling. In total, the Russian military carried out 70 strikes on the border areas of the Sumy Oblast.

At night, russians opened fire on three communities of the Sumy Oblast: Krasnopillia, Seredyna-Buda, and Shalyhyne.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Last day, the border settlements of the Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Kharkiv raions were under enemy fire.

In particular, the enemy shelled the towns of Kupiansk and Vovchansk, the village of Dvorichna and the settlements of Strilecha, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Okhrymivka, Kamianka, Novomlynsk, Tavilzhanka, Lyman Pershyi, Vilshana, Kucherivka, Orlianka, Kurylivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, and Pershotravneve.

As a result of the shelling, private households were damaged and several fires broke out. While extinguishing the fires, the personnel of the State Emergency Service came under repeated fire twice – in the village of Dvorichna and in Vovchansk. No one was injured in the shelling during the day.

Mine clearance continues. During the day, 103 explosive devices were neutralized.

Donetsk Oblast

On January 2, the russians killed 1 civilian of the Donetsk Oblast — in Bakhmut. One more person was wounded in the oblast.

In total, since February 24, the russians have killed 1,286 civilians in the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 2,805.

The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is still unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the east of Pokrovsk Raion, a house in Ostrivske (Kurakhove community) was damaged. Enemy artillery shelling of Mariinka and fire on Avdiivka with the use of cluster shells were recorded. There were no casualties.

In the morning, the russians shelled Kurakhove with artillery. They hit a residential quarter. According to preliminary information, 1 person died, and 2 more were injured. There is also damage: one projectile hit a high-rise building directly. In addition, the water supply infrastructure facility was damaged and windows were broken in buildings near the hit point.

Thanks to the active work of the humanitarian headquarters, within the framework of the World Food Program (WFP), the “ADRA Ukraine” foundation has been operating in Pokrovsk for more than a month and provides local residents with humanitarian aid.

 

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka direction, one person died in Bakhmut. A house was damaged in Ivanivske (Bakhmut community), ant 2 houses were damaged in Blahodatne (Soledar community).

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion 

Druzhkivka, which is far from the front line, suffered three enemy attacks. The Ice Arena, more than 20 private houses, the buildings of the MAN Hotel, the bus station and the church were damaged. One person was injured and received timely medical assistance.

Another person was injured in Kramatorsk. The projectile hit the yard of a private house.

In the Lysychansk direction, numerous shelling took place in Siversk. Also, 2 houses were damaged in Torske (Lyman community). No one was injured.

Southern Oblasts

Odesa Oblast

The management of the customs of Odesa was exposed in the embezzlement of hundreds of millions of hryvnias for the grain export. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine. More than 10 high-ranking officials were involved in the scheme.

In Odesa, there is a proposal to build facilities for own electricity generation. It can be gas turbines or a waste processing complex.

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy hit the water area and the coastal zone of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaiske, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Kherson Oblast

On January 3, the russian army shelled a trolleybus depot in Kherson. Three trolleybuses were destroyed, and another twenty standing nearby had their windows blown out. Only one trolleybus, which was being repaired in the workshop, remained intact. A projectile hit the roof of the repair workshop and exploded there. The windows in the administration building were blown out. None of the workers were injured.

The occupiers shelled the HBK [Kherson Cotton Mill] microdistrict in Kherson. The shelling began at 21:00 and lasted for an hour. Eyewitnesses say that before the shelling began, they saw a red glow, and then six explosions rang out. The balconies in the houses were destroyed, glass flew out of the windows.

During the day, the russian troops shelled Beryslav, Novooleksandrivka and Tiahynka communities. Five people were injured in Beryslav, one person died in the village of Lviv.

In the Kherson Oblast, the russian military is also shelling the settlements of Oleshky and Hola Prystan, in order to force the local residents to the so-called “voluntary evacuation”.

In the basement of the building of the main police department of the Kherson Oblast, law enforcement officers discovered a torture chamber set up by the russian occupiers. Pensioners of law enforcement agencies, public activists and ordinary citizens of Kherson were kept here. In the torture chamber, evidence was found indicating that torture was used on people.

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Oblast, the russian military collects information about entrepreneurs and seizes their vehicles and goods.

Also, the russian invaders continue to pull equipment and people to Skadovsk. There is total control at the checkpoints.

In the last day, the russian army lost about 750 soldiers.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the positions of russian troops in Chulakivka (Kherson Oblast). 500 servicemen of the russian federation were killed and wounded.

New activists are joining in the Kherson Oblast. They hang yellow ribbons and leaflets on the streets of temporarily occupied Skadovsk and Henichesk, reminding that Ukrainians will never submit.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Over 20 shells were fired at the Nikopol Raion by the russians at night. The Nikopol and Pokrov communities were under fire that night. Yesterday, during the day, the russians shelled the area three times. A fire started in the Chervonogrihorivka community from enemy shells. A country house on an area of ​​60 square meters was burning. Russian shelling damaged 5 country houses and the power grid.

Volunteers from Dnipro brought food kits, clothes for adults and more than 1,500 New Year’s gifts for the smallest residents of the liberated settlements of the Kherson Mykolaiv oblasts: Snihurivka, Novoyehorivka, Chornobaivka, Kostiantynivka, Novomykolaivka and Bilozerka. This became possible thanks to the help of Israel. And also thanks to children from the American city of Boston, who gave presents to their peers in Ukraine. The Norwegians handed over warm pajamas, children’s toys and sweets to the families in the liberated territories. In each gift there was a letter from the little Norwegians, which they wrote to the Ukrainian kids.

Poltava Oblast

The soldier Roman Yaremenko from the Poltava Oblast died at the front. His father and brother continue to defend Ukraine, and his mother is engaged in volunteering. Since 2016, Roman Yaremenko has signed a contract and went to defend our Motherland from the enemy.

Serhii Gavura from the Poltava Oblast died in the war. The sailor was the driver of the vehicle division of the logistics platoon of the 1st separate battalion of the marines. He died during a firefight with the enemy in Mariupol.

49-year-old Pavlo Ivashchenko, a soldier, mechanic-driver, died during artillery shelling near the city of Siversk of the Bakhmut Raion in the Donetsk Oblast. It happened on July 13.

The rescuers of the Poltava Oblast received modern special equipment and generators of various capacities. Everything was purchased with the funds of the state and regional budgets.

The Poltava Oblast was among the top three regions in terms of the number of participants in the Army of Restoration. This state initiative to involve the unemployed in the work of restoring Ukraine and strengthening the defense began last year, at the end of October. During this time, 772 people have already performed socially useful works. 5.7 million hryvnias are allocated to pay for labor. In total, 38 territorial communities of the Poltava Oblast joined the “army”. On average, the duration of work was 1 month. The most active are the Kremenchuk, Orzhytsia and Kobeliaky communities.

More than 40 children were born in the shelter of the Kremenchug maternity hospital in 2022.

Western oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets- Podilskyi

More than 80 children from the front-line territories of the Kherson and Kharkiv oblasts celebrated the Christmas and New Year holidays in Kamianets-Podilskyi. The people of Kamianets gave the young participants of the Children of War project a festive atmosphere: representatives of the People’s Theater “Song Lace” greeted the children with carols and gifts, the model studio “Nevgamovni” held a real concert, and the mayor of Kamianets-Podilsky Mykhailo Positko congratulated the children with gifts from the whole community.

The new partners of the “Children of the War” project Volia Hub volunteer association from Romania gave the children warm clothes and food. Food is already in the kitchen, and things are given to children as needed. The first group had already chosen for themselves what was suitable in terms of size.

Boryspil residents once again helped the Children of War project. This time, we received a huge parcel with hygiene products and bright socks, which cheered up the children.

Rivne Oblast

Defenders of Ukraine Volodymyr Soika and Oleksandr Siniuk were taken to the Rivne Oblast for the last time. Military serviceman Volodymyr Soyka died on December 27, 2022 in Yakovlivka settlement of the Bakhmut Raion in the Donetsk Oblast. On December 31, 33-year-old defender Oleksandr Siniuk was said goodbye in the village of Drukhiv of the Berezne community. The soldier died in the hospital after being severely wounded on October 22 during the fighting in the Donetsk Oblast.

On January 3, an anonymous report was received in the Rivne Oblast about the mining of a number of objects. We are talking about the buildings of government bodies, in particular, the oblast military administration, schools, shopping centers. Objects were inspected by explosives technicians and canine experts, rescuers and employees of the Security Service of Ukraine. No explosive objects were found.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Bukovyna accompanied servicemen who defended the freedom and independence of Ukraine in their last journey. They said goodbye to chief sergeant Roman Khomandiak in the village of Klishkivtsi, junior sergeant Igor Manyk in the village of Chervona Dibrova, sergeants Vasyl Katan and Oleg Nivrianskyi in the village of Shilivtsi, Vitaly Prinko on the Alley of Fame of the Central Cemetery Chernivtsi, senior soldier Pavel Pelepko in the village of Nova Zhadova. Glory and eternal memory to the defenders. A resident of the Sokyryan community, police lieutenant Vladyslav Klischuk was posthumously awarded the III degree Order of Courage.

On the eve of the New Year’s holidays, the volunteers of Vyzhnytsia went on another 46th trip to their compatriots on the front line. They visited the military serving in the Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv oblasts and delivered long-term storage products, detergents and personal hygiene products to service people, as well as individual parcels from family and friends.

Zakarpattia Oblast

The Zakarpattia soldier Ivan Stroichak from the village of Nyzhni Remety of the Beregy Raion, was returned from russian captivity as part of the exchange, which took place on December 31, 2022. The man participated in the defense of Mariupol and Azovstal in winter and spring of 2022. 

More than 16.5 thousand hryvnias were collected to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the Christmas carol festival in Baranyntsi of Zakarpattia. 12 bands of the Baranyntsi United Territorial Community took part in it. The participants of the festival glorified the birth of Jesus Christ with Christmas songs, carols, Christmas carols and a nativity scene and wished peace to Ukraine in the New Year. The organizers transferred the raised funds to the NGO “Volunteers of Zakarpattia”.
