Kyiv

Today, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, arrived in Kyiv to meet with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. She said that the European Commission will provide Ukraine with an additional 2,400 generators.

The SSU detained an employee of Ukroboronprom in Kyiv who worked for russian military intelligence. The attacker collected information about the available Ukrainian weapons, which are delivered to the units of the Armed Forces, and prepared «reports» for the occupiers about the consequences of missile strikes on the capital.

The limits of electricity consumption in Kyiv provided by NPC Ukrenergo allow the application of stabilization shutdown schedules.

Today, work was carried out on the destruction of explosive objects in the Bucha and Vyshgorod raions.

The Spanish charitable organization «Juntos Por la Vida» once again handed over humanitarian aid to the Irpin community. In particular, 16 household generators were delivered to Irpin to warm the homes of those who need it the most.

General Director of «REHAU Ukraine» Fedir Omelinsky handed over warm blankets and electric sheets to 24 families with many children in the Irpin community, who lost their homes during hostilities in the city.

Volunteers of the Kyiv branch of the volunteer construction battalion «Dobrobat» completed the urgent restoration of another private house in Irpin, repairing the roof, windows and doors. The house of the Irpin family was badly damaged during the hostilities in the city – as a result of several enemy «arrivals», the house caught fire, which destroyed everything except the walls.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In Zhytomyr, they said goodbye to soldier Andrii Lebekhivskyi. Died on January 24, 2023 near Kreminna in Luhansk Oblast while performing a combat mission.

Oleg Lysak was considered missing for more than seven months. In March 2022, he was drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces. Died while defending Ukraine in June 2022 near Morozivka in Kharkiv Oblast. It was only after her liberation that the Hero was returned. Eternal glory to the Defenders.

A resident of Berdychiv, who has the 3rd group of disabilities, is suspected of selling cars intended as aid to the Armed Forces. The man was detained while receiving 13 thousand US dollars for the sale of three cars. At present, a petition has been submitted to the court regarding the selection of the suspect as a preventive measure in the form of detention.

65 families of forced migrants who currently live in the Chernyakhiv community will be able to receive financial assistance from the Czech non-governmental organization «Liudyna v bidi [Man in Need]». After processing all documents, citizens of Ukraine who were forced to leave their homes due to the war will be able to receive 3-month cash assistance.

Chernihiv Oblast

As a result of russian shelling of the border community of Snovsk in Chernihiv Oblast on February 1, four people were killed when a mine hit the cellar of a private house, and one person was injured.

Sumy Oblast

During yesterday’s day, the russians shelled four communities of Sumy Oblast: Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalygyne and Esman. 129 hits were recorded.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

The enemy does not stop the terror of the civilian population of the border towns and villages of Kharkiv Oblast.

Today around 7 am, the occupiers shelled Kupyansk again. The injured woman is 67 years old.

A 46-year-old employee of the State Emergency Service was injured in the village of Kruglyakivka, Kupyansk raion, as a result of the morning shelling.

Also in the morning, the enemy shelled the village of Kozacha Lopan, the village council building was damaged.

During the past day, russian occupiers shelled: Kupyansk, Vovchansk, Strilecha, Dvorichna, Starytsia, Ohirtseve and other settlements of Kupyansk, Chuguyiv and Kharkiv raions. Most of the private residential buildings were under fire. Many houses were damaged, windows were broken, and farm buildings were destroyed.

Donetsk Oblast

During February 1, the russian occupying forces attacked Donetsk Oblast 14 times. «Iskander-K», «S-300», «Hrad», «Smerch», artillery and tanks fired at ten settlements of the Donetsk Oblast. As a result of shelling, 43 civilian objects were destroyed and damaged.

The enemy is actively conducting reconnaissance, preparing for an offensive in certain directions. Despite heavy losses, he continues to attempt offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Novopavlivka directions.

Yesterday, Ukrainian soldiers repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of Spirne, Bilogorivka, Vasyukivka, Blagodatne, Krasna Gora, Bakhmut and Klishchiivka settlements of the Donetsk Oblast.

On February 1, the russians killed 3 residents of Donetsk Oblast — in Kramatorsk. Another 22 people in Oblast were injured.

In total, since February 24, the russians have killed 1,342 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 2,961. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

Severne, Avdiyivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Maryinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka came under enemy fire in the Avdiyivka direction.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

In the direction of Bakhmut, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Bilogorivka, Vesele, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanovske, Predtechine, Stupochky, Druzhba and New York in Donetsk Oblast were affected by fire.

Bakhmut is again under fire from russian volley fire systems. The enemy struck residential buildings in the city center. Two high-rise buildings were damaged: windows were broken, the roof and facade of the buildings were damaged. There are no casualties among civilians.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Lyman direction the settlements of Terny and Serebrianka of the Donetsk Oblast came under enemy fire.

The shelling of Kramatorsk with “high-precision weapons” continues. This weapon has already taken the lives of three residents of Kramatorsk last night, destroying a house. Three dead, eight wounded (two are in serious condition), 13 sought medical help. The search for the woman continues.

In the afternoon of February 2, the enemy struck not far from the place of the previous hit. At least five people were injured. 13 two-story buildings, three four-story buildings, a children’s polyclinic and a school, garages and cars were damaged. Fortunately, there were no significant casualties among the people involved in the demolition of the rubble of the previous strike. The rescue operation is ongoing.

Luhansk Oblast

A resident of the de-occupied town of Nevske received a mine blast injury, wounding her right lower leg yesterday morning. Around 11:00 a.m., the russians shelled the village again. At that moment, the woman was in the yard of her own residence. She remained alive, the necessary help was already provided to her in the Kramatorsk hospital.

South Oblast

Odesa Oblast

Deputy Mayor of Odesa, Serhiy Tetiukhin, met with the Director of the UNOPS Office in Ukraine, Mr. Tim Lardner, and the Head of the Office of the UN Office in Ukraine, Mrs. Harshet Virk. The parties discussed the issue of infrastructure reconstruction, the necessary support for maintaining and restoring energy supply. As well as Odesa’s need for generators and the necessary assistance to ensure uninterrupted heat supply.

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy attacked the settlement of the Kutsurub community with multiple rocket launchers. There were no damages or injuries.

Tonight, the enemy carried out artillery fire on the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanska districts, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Kherson Oblast

In the morning, the russian army shelled the village of Komyshany, a suburb of Kherson. Shells hit houses. So far, it is known about four wounded, among them a five-year-old boy. Everybody was taken to the hospital.

During the day, russian troops shelled the settlements of four communities of the Beryslav Raion. Four people were injured. Residential buildings, farm buildings and cars were damaged.

In Skadovsk, the occupiers are looking for resistance representatives. Mass searches are conducted throughout the temporarily occupied territory.

During the day, rocket launchers and gunners of the Defense Forces hit the command post of the russian army, three areas of russian military concentration and a warehouse of fuel.

The people of Kherson, who temporarily live in Ternopil, make trench candles for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Many people joined, started collecting funds and buying materials. The technology of making candles was studied on the Internet.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

The russians shelled the town of Nikopol and the Myrove community.

On the front in the Kharkiv Oblast, a soldier Oleksandr Shchus from the village of Vasylivka of the Mezhev community died. 49-year-old chief sergeant Anatoly Bezverkhy from Zhovti Vody also died. He had a mother, a wife, a son and a daughter. 54-year-old senior lieutenant Pavlo Balabaiev from Kamianske died while being on duty. He is survived by his wife, brother and sister. A 61-year-old man who campaigned for the USSR on social networks was detained in Marhanets.

The city of Kryvyi Rih and surrounding communities risk being left without water from the Dnipro. The pumping station of the Dnipro – Kryvyi Rih canal may stop due to a rapid drop in the level of the Kakhovka reservoir. After the russian occupiers blew up the dam during the retreat from the right-bank Kherson region, the water level in the Kakhovska Sea has already dropped by more than a meter.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 27 enterprises have relocated to Kryvyi Rih from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the largest number is from the Donetsk Oblast.

Tactical medicine training are held in Kryvyi Rih. They are organized by the “Association of Responsible Citizens” public organization for donations.

Liliia, a resident of Tomakivka, collected more than 2 million hryvnias to help defenders with the help of donations. The first thing they started helping with was ammunition for the defenders. Bulletproof vests were needed, but there was no fabric for plate carriers. It was found in Istanbul. During the war, 330 bulletproof vests were produced. 460 pairs of berets, 50 sets of uniforms, and 20 cars were purchased for the front.

In Dnipro, a mobile exhibition “Together we are Europe” about the EU’s aid to Ukraine during the war was opened in Zelenyi Hai Park. The goal is to inform the widest audience of Ukrainians about the comprehensive support, solidarity and assistance that European partners have consistently provided to our country since the beginning of the war. The series was created by nine Ukrainian illustrators. The canvases depict the tortured lives of Ukrainians, our military routine and EU aid, both inside Ukraine and abroad.

Kirovograd Oblast

The administrative services center “Transparent Office of Kropyvnytskyi” started accepting documents for compensation for free accommodation of internally displaced persons in January.

Two Points of Invincibility for single pensioners with reduced mobility were set up in Kpopyvnytskyi. People will be able to stay there if the city is left without electricity, water and gas. Children will be able to stay here under the supervision of social workers for an unlimited time. Another point of invincibility for single pensioners with limited mobility was arranged in the regional social service center.

Poltava Oblast

The Secret Service of Ukraine reported the suspicion to the top manager of the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant. The accused entered false information into the company’s official documents, which led to two billion hryvnias in losses to the state. The company evaded payment for the use of the subsoil of the iron ore deposit. Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect is being resolved.

Preschool education institutions of the Poltava Oblast received special sets for the work of educators. In each box there are games for children of early and preschool age and stationery. These sets will help to organize quality leisure time for children, in particular during the stay in the shelter in case of an air alarm. This aid is the result of the participation of 16 institutions from 9 communities of the oblast in the project organized by the All-Ukrainian Foundation “Step by Step” with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund Representation in Ukraine (UNICEF).

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Another 200 million hryvnias worth of military bonds was purchased by Khmelnytskyi. These are securities issued by the state during martial law. By investing money in them, the city helps the Ukrainian army. It also makes it possible to significantly replenish the budget of the territorial community. Only in January, Khmelnitskyi spent half a billion hryvnias on the purchase of military bonds. This is the third purchase of securities since the beginning of the full-scale war.

For three days, paramedics from Great Britain conducted trainings for rescuers of Khmelnytskyi region on providing first aid to victims in various dangerous situations. The trainings were completed for Khmelnytskyi, Kamianets-Podilskyi and Shepetivka emergency personnel.

Dry chemical heaters are manufactured for the military in Khmelnytskyi. This is done by a local cosmetic company. For more than half a year, it has already sent more than 25,000 such heaters to the front line. The heating pad can be attached to the foot, chest or back. It maintains a temperature of about 40 degrees Celsius for eight hours.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

In Kamianets-Podilskyi, shelters will be checked for their accessibility to the population. In connection with the approach of frost, the city authorities instructed the responsible structural units to check the heating points, control the temperature regime in educational institutions, hospitals and residential buildings.

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

Rivne Oblast held a solemn farewell to four defenders who gave their lives for the future of Ukraine. 39-year-old Serhii Moisieiev was buried in the village of Danychiv (Korets community). A soldier died on January 22 while performing a combat mission in the village of Novoselivka Druga (Pokrovsk Raion, Donetsk Oblast).

On January 23, 20-year-old Denys Dotsenko from the Berezne community died of a serious wound received during the fighting near the settlement of Mala Tokmachka (Donetsk Oblast).

A solemn farewell was held in the village of Bilovizh (Sarny Raion), with 40-year-old Oleksandr Shehera. A senior soldier died on January 23 near the settlement of Vodiane (Donetsk region).

In the same area, on the same date, 29-year-old soldier Ruslan Huzovatyi from the city of Varash died.

In the Rivne Oblast, the project of the Cultural Landing “Razom!” [“Together!”] is ongoing. Ostroh Academy joined the charitable initiative. As part of the project, the educational institution and the Ostroh City Council handed over 3 batches of humanitarian aid: warm things, food, books, mobile phones, a generator, medical preparations and hygiene kits. The purpose of the charity project of the Cultural Landing “Rasom!” is to attract people from the center and west of Ukraine to help the residents of the de-occupied cities.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Junior sergeant Ihor Skytsk was ceremoniously buried in the village of Kostryzhivka, soldier Valerii Barbuk – in the village of Malyatyntsi, soldier Serhii Kulakov – in the village of Hrubna. Eternal memory and glory to the Heroes!

The Territorial Defense brigades from Bukovyna received a charitable cargo: two generators, an electric charging station and solar panels for it. Assistance was provided by representatives of the German non-governmental organization “Lebensfahrten e. V.” from the city of Meissen. Previously, they had already handed over 7 generators for the defenders.

Implementation of joint projects in the field of health care, water supply, drainage and comprehensive support for Ukraine: these issues were discussed during the meeting by the head of Chernivtsi Oblast Military Administration Ruslan Zaparaniuk, the head of the Department for humanitarian aid and development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Petr Gandalovič, and the Deputy Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv, Vladimir Kadlec.

Another humanitarian cargo from the Hlyboka community was sent to the front line to Ukrainian defenders: a military minibus was loaded with a generator, compressors, boilers, power banks, body heaters and thermal equipment. The humanitarian cargo was formed thanks to benefactors who constantly transfer aid from Poland to the defenders.

Zakarpattia Oblast

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Zakarpattia Oblast has received about 400,000 internally displaced people, more than 156,000 of whom are officially registered.

In Zakarpattia, a regional forum on support for internally displaced persons “Life from “zero” was held. The public, internally displaced persons and representatives of local authorities focused on the main challenges related to meeting the needs of IDPs, their adaptation and socialization in new communities, in new places of residence. In addition, the forum presented the activities of the Coordinating Council on IDPs, as well as the regional work plan for improving conditions for internally displaced persons in Zakarpattia for 2023.

Volunteers from Mukachevo make reusable heating pads for defenders. More than 1,000 have already been sent to different directions of the front. The heating pad is reusable and keeps warm for more than an hour.
